This is a two part review. First my server Sabrina was amazing. She was helpful and knowledgeable about products and meals. She was quick to address any problems or items I need. Sabrina is a smart and bright young lady. Second part of this is a server named Mia. She cut in on table next to me while their server Sabrina was there. She upsold the customer before Sabrina could explain anything to them. This interaction is one unprofessional and then making the statement after Sabrina walked away to place this nice older couples order "As long as I am here I take care of you". This disrespect any other server in the by clearly stating that they don't care which is 100% not true. I been here a few time and Mia is rude all the time so much so I will not sit in her area ever. Mia also openly talked about being stabbed by a fork by an old customer where people (customers) could hear her. This then make them uncomfortable with their safety. 4 stars because the food and my server Sabrina where great. Mia is a 0 stars and should be fired. read more

I placed an order though the app for a pickup an hour after the order was placed. My husband showed up to pick up the order on time. Not only was it not ready, it is now 45 minutes past when it was suppose to be ready and he still doesn't have the food. They said they didn't have protein pancakes or crepes (no mention of that until he showed up), and they said they can't refund us for those so we have to get something else. Seated at 9:05am to a decently empty dining room with two servers (4 tables one family mostly duos). Was not busy and people were already eating. Took approximately 10 minutes to take our order after being seated. After ordering, we watched multiple other tables get seated, order and get their food. At about 9:50, we still hadn't received our food and decided to check with the server (she did not check on us one time in the 35 minutes). We found out that our order was never placed and one of their servers blamed it on the computer, saying "our computers suck." We had to leave due to an appointment and received attitude from the servers for leaving even though no one had even started making our food. We did not even get an apology for the delay. Location is exceedingly average for the brand. We like IHOP in other places, but I'm not sure we would come back here. The staff is quite friendly and our coffee cups stayed full but everything on our plate was just kind of lukewarm. Absolutely horrid customer service. Our server Jermayne was yelling throughout the whole stay, both behind the counter and while on the floor serving customers. Yelling while going into the kitchen, swearing. Completely unprofessional and ruined our whole meal. Manager was also yelling. Additionally, Jermayne took over half an hour to get us our food and didn't check on us or refill our drinks in any of the meantime. Only came to drop off our first plates then another ten minutes before we got the rest of our food. Mind you, we stayed for about an hour and a half and it was just my boyfriend and I, and we each ordered one thing on a completely slow day. Not only this but we watched the manager wipe stuff off of a plated meal with her bare hands for about a minute straight and proceeded to serve the meal she had just touched everywhere. So gross. I have not been a fan of iHOP since I was six years old, and this visit was a firm reminder why. It all started when my freshly minted nine year old asked if he could go to iHOP for birthday breakfast. I said: "oh! Do you want iHOP specifically or like a really great breakfast instead?" He said: "iHOP." I said: "They have giant cinnamon rolls at Chapps. You could have one all to yourself." He said: "iHOP." I said: "Frank's Diner is in an old train car. That's fun. That's super fun." He said: "I just really want the International House of Pancakes." The child invoked the full name of this establishment, thus earned my grudging acquiescence. The sky darkened, birds took sudden flight from nearby trees, and a booming belch of thunder rolled across the Palouse. I took us to iHOP. The food is God Awful. Everything is swimming in oil. And it's not even pure oil. It's this really cheap yellow/orange hydrogenated oil blend that shitty restaurants use to cut costs. I asked for my hashbrowns crisp. They came out without even a nod in the direction of crisp. A plate of four pancakes with a few canned strawberries, 1/2 a sliced banana, and a few gallons of compote (sugar and water) cost $12. $12! Gravy for the country fried steak was the instant variety and basically flavorless. The bare naked pancakes themselves were good. Iced coffee is a god-damned crime against nature. I drink nasty iced coffee every day because I'm cheap. I make it in batches from the giant tubs of Folgers that CostCo slings out, and I've priced it out to $0.04 per 8oz. serving. This was worse than that. Bitter as a stray Devil pubic hair that gets caught on your tongue after you've somehow agreed to fellate the Devil in the Devil's rank studio apartment downtown. Service was not much better. Had to advocate for silverware. Breakfast for a party of 5 took 20 minutes to come out. Refills took a long time and they didn't clear plates timely. More, I figured I'd be a frugal father and get my son some kinda gimme as it was literally his birthday day. Some light Googling revealed I had to first sign up for some gosh darned pancake club, get an email, confirm my enrollment, then make a purchase before getting a code to redeem for ostensibly free birthday trash on another occasion. My kid had a good time though, bless his sweet ignorant little heart. read more

The lucky charms had a cream that literally had next to no flavor the cinnamon toast one was the only thing that has a decent amount of flavor. I would have added flavoring to the actual pancakes to make these better. The crepes are lacking everything when you take out the strawberries. Went there for breakfast. Was served raw and rotten meat. I have been vomiting all day because of it.

We had breakfast at the Sprague location. The food was just fine, served just as requested and we did have a couple special requests. The server was great and attentive without being overbearing. However, I have drank a lot of different coffee in the US and overseas, some great some just kind of okay but honestly this was without a doubt the worst coffee, if you can even call it that, that I have ever tasted. One small sip left the most horrible taste in my mouth ever. At times I would even get an odd smell wafting through the restaurant and realized it was that "coffee". I never leave reviews but I thought I had to this one time. We are living difficult times and restaurants are struggling more than any other businesses. My husband and I are on a long drive from NJ to WA and stopped to get some breakfast at this IHOP in Spokane WA. There were people lined up outside to come in right at 7AM and to our surprise when we walked in there was only one waitress. I work in hotels and I know about customer service and efficiency and this woman was terrific. She was doing almost everything by herself with a big smile on her face and in a timely manner. Not sure if she is a manager, but if she isn't she should, and you should also give her a role to train other teams and other IHOP's so their employees can learn to multitask and offer top notch customer service. Our waiter, Curry, was extremely kind and made us feel like we were dining at a 5 star restaurant with his exceptional service and kind manor. Under the new manager, apparently it is acceptable to require an employee, who is scheduled OFF for the day, to come in to work (on his birthday, no less), JUST IN CASE THE SCHEDULED EMPLOYEE DOES NOT SHOW UP. If the scheduled employee shows up, the other employee will be sent home - WITH NO ADDITIONAL PAY for his inconvenience! This is NOT an acceptable practice in the food and beverage industry, OR any other business. No employee deserves to be treated with such disrespect. IHOP is one of those places that gets entered into the GPS and we plan a breakfast trip too ...... ordered the.... I've been to other IHOPs but I've always had amazing service here!! This time in particular really exemplified this IHOP to me. My boyfriend and I had a tire blow out on the freeway and we took it to the Costco right by this IHOP. My boyfriend's dad was on his way to pick us up but we wanted a quick breakfast so we chose to eat here. First of all - the server who greeted us (who actually served us before) was so friendly and helpful. We didn't know if they offered to go service or not but she reassured us that she will have us in and out within 15 minutes so we took the chance. Our server Jenn was great! She greeted us right away and we ordered the chicken florentine crepes - in my opinion, the best thing they have at IHOP. She joked with us that the kitchen would laugh at her because this crepe has the longest cooking time. But it's our favorite so we stuck with it. While we waited we had a couple cups of coffee and Jenn brought us our check and a to go cup of coffee. Our food was out in 13 minutes - impressive! We had enough time to eat a couple bites and perfect our coffee before our ride showed up. Summary: the service is amazing! This is the only ihop my boyfriend and I will go to anymore. read more

I would really give 3.5 stars. But, I'm giving the extra half because of the customer service my brother and I were given. So my brother I went this morning for our birthday breakfast (we are obviously twins). The first slight issue was when we walked in the restaurant was pretty packed. All the wait staff was running around like crazy, but there was nobody to greet us. We stood there for at least 5 minutes waiting for someone to seat us, or even notice we where there. Our waitress (I can't remember her name) rocked it. She was on the ball. She really impressed both my brother and I. She was right there to get our drink order, we both got orange juice. We both drank it really quickly and our waitress made sure to tell us refills weren't free. That was my second issue. I was thankful she told us. But I've honestly never heard of a restaurant that doesn't have free refills. We got our food within a reasonable time. It was very good but I thought it looked as though they just rushed it out of the kitchen. My eggs were pretty runny. Not made to the normal over easy. Like I said we received great service therefore the couple small issues I had were not a big deal. And because of their customer service I will eat there again. I wish I could remember our waitresses name. We did enjoy ourselves and overall was well worth it. As far as the piece goes I did feel it was fairly reasonable, I didn't like paying for the orange juice refills but no biggie. The atmosphere was good and clean.
