Spicy Poblano Omelette
Karley B.

Had a fine time at lunch with my mom and boyfriend yesterday. My mom was absolutely stoked to find our bill was half of what we spent last week, which I thought funny because we had Taco Love Grill last week and ordered twice as much food, but whatever. She's the one paying. Personally I think she was just happy to be given the opportunity to order breakfast. That woman does love her eggs. We were seated immediately, and our waiter was very attentive. The main issue came from the slowness of the kitchen. Thankfully, we were not in a rush, but the willynilly way our food came to the table may have annoyed some. I am going to tell you about the food, by the person who ordered it (as usual) and not by the order it hit our table because all told, it took about 10 minutes for everything to arrive. My mom couldn't decide between the avocado toast or the sausage and gravy over biscuits, so she ordered both. Good thing she did. The avocado toast should not qualify as an entree. While incredibly delicious (those roasted tomatoes are SO tasty), it is literally a single piece of toast bread with a quarter of an avocado on it, and some tomatoes. Also, notice that I said "sausage AND gravy" not "sausage gravy." I don't think any of us expected that there would be sausage links on the biscuit that was then covered with gravy. This was a proper entree, with eggs (she got over-easy) and hash browns. My boyfriend got the double blueberry pancakes with the seasonal berry topping, and he used the strawberry syrup. He was a bit taken aback that butter did not come with his plate, so he had to wait for that. And he REALLY didn't want that whipped cream topping. He brought most of it home, but devoured it later that night when he was properly medicated. I got the spicy Poblano omelette and WOW was it tasty (omelette stuffed with fire-roasted poblano peppers, red bell peppers, onions, shredded beef, jack and cheddar cheese blend. Topped with fresh avocado, poblano cream and serano peppers). I got a side of crispy hash browns, which came to the table well before the omlette, so I had a chance to eat all of that. Let's face it, if the potatoes and the eggs hit the table at the same time, it's rare that the potatoes get the love they deserve. It was a lovely meal. Also, if you haven't been to an IHOP in a while, this one has a wooden floor - not carpet - which I think helps to cut down on that whole sticky floor situation you may remember... Would recommend

A frequent spot for me honestly (I will not admit that it might be 10+ times at this point). Great breakfast, great service and great coffee! 5/5 would recommend... and will continue to go!

A friend and I decided to go to breakfast New Years Eves morning, I choose this location, and I soooooo glad that I did. We got in and was seated right away. The waitress came right over and took our order. We were hungry so we ordered a lot of food, within 15 minutes we were eating. The pancakes were like clouds so fluffy. My friend got the spinach, mushroom omelette with the cheddar cheese and hollandaise sauce, all my years I've gone to Ihop, I have never ordered an omelette. I tasted a couple of fork fulls of his, and OMG, it was so flavorful, made perfectly soft hot and fluffy, so perfect, I went back New Year's Day after doing my Walmart shopping and ordered one for takeout

My last visit was definitely not a fluke. I stopped in for breakfast this morning and, once again, the service was great and the food was good. The eggs, hash browns and bacon were all perfectly cooked and the coffee was fantastic. The overall restaurant, my table and even the men's room were very clean. I had an enjoyable breakfast and will be back. Thank you Lillian!

Combo with all you can eat pancakes

This location was certainly a disappointment compared to the Merritt Blvd location. First we were seated in a booth just inside the doors which was freezing so we had to keep our coats on the entire time and each time the doors were open we were blasted with cold air. Ironically after leaving the restaurant it was warmer outside than inside!! Maybe they didn't have heat?? Second, they were advertising $4.99 all you can eat pancakes. Well upon ordering I asked our waitress (who had more tables than she could handle) very specifically which pancakes were the $4.99 & pointed to them in the menu -to which she replied it's only the buttermilk pancakes & any other flavor was $1.99/extra per serving. To be clear I reiterated my question to which she replied with same statement. My son and I proceeded to place our order for a combo meal and pancakes. I only wanted pancakes. The initial food came out barely warm. Asked for additional pancakes and drink refills. Random people brought us our drinks and pancakes and never together!! I noticed at one time a woman wearing a black coat put a plate of pancakes on the table and had no uniform etc identifying her as an IHOP employee!! I asked my son if he noticed her working on other tables as my back was too majority of the restaurant. He watched the woman who walked back towards kitchen area but didn't wait on other tables and then left the restaurant. Quite confused I didn't eat the tepid pancakes & waited for our waitress to come back and asked her who brought the pancakes-she stated another waitress since she was too busy. Okay--not cool!!Unprofessional to say the least!! The icing on this lunchtime debacle was when the check arrived and we were expecting to pay approximately $15 including drinks & 2x$4.99 pancakes as advertised & confirmed by waitress upon ordering. Well shocker--the bill was over $28.00 without tip. WHOA? That's got to be a mistake! We question the waitress after we get her attention again and she says "no it's correct because THIS LOCATION DOESNT PARTICIPATE in the $4.99 pancakes all you can eat deal!! WHAA?? I specifically asked her about this prior to placing our order and NEVER did she mention the store didn't participate in the advertised specials. I calmly explained that to her as well as my son did & her response was to offer to get a manager for us to speak with! At this point we were done & politely declined vowing to never return to this location and make EVERYONE aware of the false advertising, waitress not being honest when specifically asked her about the special prior to ordering. My overall rating 1/5 only for the fact I was there with my favorite company! Cleanliness 0/5 Service 0/5 Food quality 0/5-cold food served Complete disappointment all around here and will be spreading the word about the staff, food, misrepresentation of prices and participation in this all you can eat. They could put a large sign up on doors so people are informed before walking in since waitress obviously isn't honest! Avoid this location if you're looking for good service, food and expect honest waitress.

Okay just kidding, I've got to finish to tell you about the amazing people behind the incredible food.. We told Patrina that we weren't from around here and it was our first time at Lib's.. She was the best first impression you could have had... told us the history of the Lib family how they are the Perry Hall staple of the area. Vic was our server and he was wonderful, answering questions and very knowledgeable. Michelle was the mgr on the evening we were there and came out when we wanted to rave over the meal... when she found out we were new to the area, she came back to the table with her top picks for dining in the area. Really... wow! The deck was enclosed but was an open space that made you feel like you were outside without the draft. I popped in to The Local with one of my friends for a much needed happy hour and we were both in consensus we had to come back to try some other menu items and specials. $7 for the house Sangria and a mule of the day, was a great start to the evening and quite tasty. We both dined on the burger and fries and enjoyed the dish. I would've like a bit of seasoning on the burger patties and maybe a cheddar or American cheese, but that's my personal preference. I asked for the black truffle aioli on the side and that was definitely the way to go to really be able to taste the black truffle. And might I say the aioli was delicious. Our waitress was great and very attentive. The Local offers different specials on various nights and even does live music on Friday nights. On the plus side my family enjoyed the ribs and crab balls. On the negative side, the fish in my fish and chips was painfully thin and small. Normally you get a nice chunky piece of fish when you get fish and chips. Not only that, l've never had fish and chips where the skin was on the fish. I left most of the skin behind, but ate some of it because the portion was so small. I had to eat something. Please have the chef look up what fish and chips is supposed to look like. Despite being the only server, our wait person was outstanding - it wasn't their fault that they had to handle the entire dining room. . Also appreciated the carafe of water on the table - but why no ice -had to drink lukewarm water. Make sure to ask for prices upfront and verify-for a single crabcake entrée, we paid $63 when it's advertised online as 30. Let the buyer beware.. Wouldn't feel a need to return at this point, too many other better options.

The entire place has been updated and expanded and there is still more work in progress. We arrived around five on a very busy St. Patrick's for dinner. We were meeting very good friends and were excited to spend some time together. The decor was so fun and the place was hopping. Even though all of the staff seemed to be extremely busy, we were allowed to wait for a table that would seat us comfortably while being a bit out of the way of the hubbub. The redone U-shaped bar area is very large with plenty of seating at the bar and around it. There are multiple long, high top tables too. The other side of the restaurant is filled with booths and tables with plenty of room to accommodate any size party. I saw tables that fit at least 10 people there. There is also an outdoor area that is under construction, but looks like it will be a very nice addition to the bar. Now on to the food and the drinks. They had so many specials for St. Patrick's Day and a large variety of them too rather than just the typical corned beef and cabbage or Ruben's. They had lots of other Irish delicacies like shepherds pie, and bangers and mash. They had all kinds of drink specials, including green margaritas, Guinness, and lots of other fancy drinks to choose from. They have plenty of beers on top and basically a full bar where you can get anything to wet your whistle. I had a two guys burger, which was basically a bacon cheeseburger, and it was cooked to perfection (not to mention it was probably close to a half pound of ground beef on that burger) along with some fries and a salad. My friend had a Reuben, which she thought was very good. My husband who loves hot turkey sandwiches ended up getting one of those and a side salad too. It was made with fresh turkey and we all know how that kicks it up a notch. Other friend got the meatloaf, which was good, but there was cheese on top and he wasn't a big fan of that. They have daily specials with lots to choose from. We had the $1 wings and were delighted with the many choices of sauces. There were so many customers coming in constantly for their carry out, too. Everything was fresh. The prices were great. Everything was very tasty and the atmosphere was fun without being too noisy. We can't wait to go back and try it again soon.

So I had to settle for a sprite but the biggest issue was they didn't have any cocktail sauce for the shrimp. The bartender had the nerve to bring out some ranch dressing with the shrimp. I said something to the server and she was ready to get me another but I opted for mashed potatoes instead. The brussel sprouts are one of my fave menu items at LongHorn.
