Today is the first time I left a ZERO tip. I'm so flabbergasted that I refused to leave a tip and on top of it I left a note to the reason. When the bus person has to be found to get the manager because you can't do your job and I have to tell the manager what's wrong and he fixes it without an issue one. He was so nice and helpful. He understood that wet yucky cold pancakes were a hard no . You spent the next 8 minutes ignoring us until you HAD to deliver the bill. Funny the table across from us and the T-bone table behind us got 100 percent of your attention while you generally ignored our table . The funny thing is that you acted as if we were trouble. We came in as my husband had just had a procedure and wasn't able to eat for 24 hours prior. Being diabetic he needed food pretty quickly, from the start you could not be bothered. We waited three times for you. When I shoved my plate away you never asked if it was ok . I had to tell you. When I attempted to ask you for jam I had to chase the bus person down seriously I don't know what your problem with us today was I gave you four separate opportunities to earn a tip. And I told my husband when you walked away if she doesn't come back and ask if everything was OK she's getting no tip at all. You knew there was things wrong. Ironically, when something happens that the waitress has had no control over I usually leave her a 50% tip. I've been known to leave $100 tip at Jake's in Snohomish just because the waitress was so stinking good. The food was OK but the waitress was fabulous so the next time you come across me, maybe you will treat me like I'm not worthy of great service you give to at least 3 other tables. You acted like we were trying to get something person or trying to comped the meal or whatever you thought was going on I've been fighting cancer for six months and I've had some pretty crappy days but not one day where I was thought holy crap I have to deal with this too? You might be better suited for the cashier job as your customer service is pretty low. I have never not left a tip. I m beyond disappointed how you made others feel they deserved your best but somehow we deserved less. Judging others to decide who might be the better tipper is an old game, shameful for sure. Be better to those who might need you to be better.

    Where's the bacon?

I ordered the bacon extravaganza omelette. I thought it would be full of flavorful bacon. It wasn't. In fact, you had to really look for the bacon! This was a very disappointing omelette and failed to provide "crispy" hash browns.

Came in at 12:30pm 06/29/1024. First thing i noticed is how slow it was but at the receptionist desk two hostesses were casually braiding each others hair. Hello this is a restaurant and no one wants ur little nasty hair fingers all on the menus! Thats sick. We Sat down and our server Laurie was awesome. After we ordered we were looking around and saw the ceiling tiles covered in dust...baseboards full of spill stains and bad mopping, condiments not full at our table. Instead of sitting around braiding hair....do some cleaning. The glass in our booth looked like a kindergarten class. This is probably one of the nastiest IHOP'S I have ever been in. Food was good but ita hard to rate it good over-all because it was so nasty in there.

It was quite eerie walking in here at around 8:30pm on a Saturday night. There were maybe 4 other tables in the restaurant filled up. I came in a group of 15. Boy was everyone in for a ride. There were only 2 servers and 1 cook The town gave me some country roads vibes. Anywho, we got seated and the 1 server we had did a pretty good job, but I could tell she was faking a smile the whole night. The first person got their food about 15-20 min away from the last person. Have you ever seen a sad puppy waiting by the window for their owner to get home? It was quite like that except a person waiting to get their food while watching others eat. It was pretty good time for 1 cook, though. Also, bathrooms were really clean. Good job

Regulars clearly know each other and the staff, which you don't really see much anymore. Refreshing. Service matched that energy -- warm and good throughout. I went with my go-to order, the chicken fried steak. It's not the best I've had -- the steak itself had more of a ground meat texture than a proper cut, which was a little different. But it was enormous and absolutely hit the spot. The biscuit on the side was solid too. My husband got the ham and said it was juicy and well done. Not a destination spot necessarily, but a great find if you're in the area and want a hearty, unpretentious brunch.

Now you all know that I am one very picky eater I will be able to identify the best thing or the worst in a bite or two. It is 1:30 on a Thursday afternoon. I had heard they had good fish chips. So I already knew what I was going to be ordering. Hubby was going to order the same thing except a spied clubhouse sandwich, which is really hard to find these days and we just ordered a clubhouse sandwich with chili and we would split the both meals mine and his. Well let me tell you I was kind of regretted offering to split my fish and chips after the first bite. But I quickly snatched a half of his sandwich as he was chowing down on the lovely brisket chili. I knew it had to be extra extraordinary as he didn't even offer the smallest of bites to his wife. He just kept going on about how amazing that chili was. I never did get a bite. I didn't even ask I suppose in hindsight I should've because he informed me three different times. I would come here just for this chili. Now I suppose you all know by now my hubby will eat just about anything. He will rarely ever say something is bad. Hearing him say something is spectacular is just shocking . He informed me that that was the best chili he has eaten outside of New Mexico. I look at him and inform him that the fries are really very good. He looks at me with utter shock like I said the sea is pink with kangaroos swimming in it. He doesn't understand the words coming out of my mouth because I never say them I'm not a FRY girl. In fact I rarely even order fries, but it's fish and chips after all, you gotta do it. Mind you I'm about to take my first bite of this very nice very light very very, very beautiful piece of deep fried fish. I have my lime and squeeze it onto my first fish then dip a lovely piece of fish into the well bodied tartar sauce, and Nirvana absolute pure Nirvana. I am beyond aesthetic that this fish is within a mile of my doctors office. I am thrilled beyond words that it is not oily. It's not greasy. It is not overcooked. It is just perfection. I know that word coming out of my mouth is uncommon. I get that I'm gonna stand behind that fish until I'm dead. It was that good! Let's talk about that sandwich shall we this is Hand cut ham smoked turkey is beautiful the garlic mayo is amazing. The bacon is a little too crisp for me, but the toast is toasted correctly a little too much mayo on center toast but other than that the lettuce has not wilted by some miracle, and it is falling apart halfway through, but you can't expect anything more. Everything that was supposed to be dry was dry. Everything that was supposed to be moist was moist everything it was supposed to be crisp was crisp . There's three pieces of toast trying to hold that whole puppy together. It was an exceptional sandwich, and I finished a half of it, which I never eat that much food in one sitting so Hubby had a piece of fish. We took a piece of fish home. I had a piece of fish he ate the terrific bowl of chili and we both finished our sandwiches. Was it worth the $60? Hell yes all day long will I make it a monthly habit probably not but when I need fish and chips, I don't have to agonize any longer where I can find such Nirvana . Service by the way was great. Our waitress was absolutely friendly and sweet. She was the only one there she was taking way more tables and tending the bar too. Personally she had no business taken care of that many tables and the bar too but she handled it all beautifully and she gave us some advice. We talked about me being a FOOD snot /snob and she gave us a couple of names of restaurants if we were going to be visiting other areas of the PNW. I had admitted that I had not found any edible fish and chips in the Stanwood Camano area. Kristin thank you so very much for everything. We will be bringing our out of town guests to enjoy the great service and outstanding food soon! But next time I will have to just make sure that I get some of that chili for myself since clearly the hubby won't share his. Charming atmosphere and bathroom had both soap and paper towels! Table was clean. Tv was set for fifa and was not too loud at the time of day. The food arrived quickly and everything that was supposed to be hot was hot and everything that was supposed to be cold was cold and there's plenty of napkins and silverware. We didn't have to ask for anything. So it is an easy 5 star food service and atmosphere.

The patio faces one of the main streets so there was lots of good people watching. I ordered a beer flight and was very satisfied with all four of my selections: Prickly Pear Kolsch - it was creamy and easy to drink, bursting with prickly pear flavor; just the right amount of tart and sweet. Lightly Buzzed Honey Lavender Blonde - my favorite of the flight; it was very hoppy but light and refreshing and well balanced by intense lavender flavor and a smooth honey finish. Get it! You won't regret it. High Five Hefe - lighter/less hazy and more hoppy than most hefes it made for a unique and complimentary beer on my flight. Pommeroys Citra Pale Ale - a perfect West Coast IPA. To eat, my pup got the Lucky Dog hamburger (which the chef pre-cut) and loved it! He chowed down in less than a minute. And I got the Mac & Cheese Burger (sub a veggie patty) with the Garlic Fries. It was a very indulgent meal to say the least. The burger was loaded with so much Mac & Cheese that I couldn't even put the top bun on it and pick it up. lol I had to knife and fork the whole thing which was totally worth it. The Mac is a classic home style recipe (think Stouffers but better). Their fries are shoestring and super crispy and salty. And they loaded those up with an amazing garlic aioli and Parmesan. I got a side of their house-made curry aioli and was obsessed with it. Every fry that didn't have sauce or parm got a dip in that deliciousness and I added it to quite a few of the burger bites too. All in all, a great brewpub that I look forward to returning to in the future!

Our server was Rainey, she was awesome, very attentive, and came to our table right away to take our order. The atmosphere at Temperate Habits is very nice, there is outside seating but we sat inside due to the bright evening sun. Our meals took quite a while to arrive, I think we were at the tail end of the dinner rush and my guess is they have a small kitchen. My classic cheeseburger was about the most generic, predictable, and utterly boring burger I could imagine, and for $17 I would certainly not return for that or the mundane shoestring fries. The burger patty, bun, and fries were all non creative and the there was nothing even the slightest bit unique about my burger, in fact I swear it is the exact same burger that the Skagit River Brewery serves just around the corner. The surprise entree was the Crab and Lobster Tots, now whoever thought that would be good? The plate looked very strange to say the least but I have to say.... this dish was really good! So you'd think if they could create that total mayhem of a dish that they could get far more creative with the burgers and least have a house burger sauce or a higher quality bun for $17, something? I might return to Temperate Habits to have a drink with friends and share some tots, because they give you a large enough portion for four people, but I would certainly look elsewhere for a good burger. 5 stars for atmosphere and service, 1 star for the burger, 4 stars for the tots.

The cheese curds were nicely battered and fried and the housemade ranch was a nice accompaniment to the cheese curds. The spicy crispy chicken sandwich was only crispy on the outside where the batter was applied! The rest of the chicken was tender and juicy. So tasty . I didn't think the sandwich was all that spicy, but that would be my fault because I eat jalapeno like candy and routinely use habanero hot sauce on my food. Even though I didn't think it was all that spicy I did enjoy the flavor and crunch of the sandwich. There was a bunch of steak fries served with my sandwich.
