I've been here a few times and the food is consistent. The servers are friendly and warm. I love their omelets, coffee, and pancakes.

Food was good, service was too. Restaurant a bit small compared to a regular IHOP so there was a 20 minute wait. Will definitely return.

The food is decent not too bad. The service however was kind of slow. My eggs were cold when i got them. Everything else was good though.

Meat was like butter!! Perfectly cooked medium well - more on the well side like I ordered it. Very tasty. The potatoes were amazing to pair it with and let's not even talk about the crème brûlée for desert! Amazing!

For starters, we had the French Onion Soup and the Wedge Salad. The soup was good, it was on the sweeter side though which wasn't my favorite. The salad was fresh, crunchy, and light. Definitely a highlight! For the main course, we had the 8oz Filet, 16oz Ribeye, and the Char-Grilled Jumbo Shrimp. This is what made this steakhouse standout to me. Everything was season and cooked to perfection. The side of the Brandy Mushroom Sauce was a great addition to the steak. The Filet was soft, juicy, and just perfect in every bite. The Ribeye was full of flavor and overall was a very good steak. The shrimp was some of the best shrimp I've had. The seasoning was impeccable, it was juicy, and tasty. For sides, we had the Baked Potato and Broccoli. The potato was a 10/10 and you were able to add more or less of what you wanted with the do it yourself style. I loved it! The broccoli was cooked great it was just very saturated in a pool of olive oil. Finally, dessert was a huge highlight and I loved every single bite. We got the Triple Chocolate Double Fudge Brownie. It was like eating a molten lava cake as a brownie. It was soft, gooey, chocolatey, fudgey, and everything you would want from a brownie and so much more. If you have not tried this steakhouse and are in the area of San Antonio, you need to come here because it will not disappoint by any means!

The staff fully commit to their roles--expect to be served by everyone from superheroes to movie characters--and they're not shy about interacting with you. It's high-energy, a little over-the-top, and honestly a lot of fun, especially for kids or big groups celebrating something. The atmosphere is wild in the best way--think quirky themed booths (yes, even inside cars), colorful decor, and a kind of organized madness that keeps you looking around the whole time. It's loud, lively, and not the place for a quiet dinner, but that's kind of the point. As for the food, it's decent but not the star of the show but you're really paying for the overall experience rather than gourmet quality. A couple tips: get there early because wait times can be long, and be prepared for a busy, sometimes slightly chaotic environment. Overall, Magic Time Machine is a memorable, one-of-a-kind spot that's perfect for families, birthdays, or anyone wanting a fun, interactive night out. Just come for the vibes--and you'll probably leave smiling.

He really stayed in character the whole time and made our experience so much fun. We ordered the chicken Alfredo, shrimp Alfredo, and a bacon burger with fries--everything was delicious. The salad bar had tons of options and everything was fresh. I saw some bad reviews mentioning things being sticky or messy, but we didn't see any of that. The place was clean, and the atmosphere was awesome. It really feels like stepping into another world--so many themed rooms and characters walking around. We saw Barbie, Ace Ventura, Velma from Scooby-Doo, and Cruella De Vil, plus a few others we didn't get to meet because we were too busy exploring! A balloon artist came by ($10+ each), but it was worth every penny to see my grandson's huge smile. Later, Ed the Science stopped by offering group photos ($15), which came in a really cool Magic Time Machine frame--such a fun keepsake! Also, random but worth mentioning--the AC works great! It was a very busy day, full of traffic so we arrived a few minutes past our initial reservation (they give a 15 minutes grace period). I was relieved that Valet was included when you dine here so that took a lot of the headache of finding parking in downtown San Antonio. Service and Food: Our service and the food was swift and taken with great care. Our server was fantastic and really did a great job helping us figure out what to order for someone who was dining here for the first time. Our waiter even recommended my father who is peculiar about his steak (liked it rare, but the outside to be crispy) to order his steak Pittsburg Style which he ended up loving. My waiter was even kind enough to hand craft me my own Sangria when I noticed it wasn't on the menu. The food was absolutely amazing but overall I think our waiters great service really made our evening enjoyable. Im unsure if this was intentional but we noticed the staff was always considerate in making sure the ladies orders were taken first and served first before the men. It was a thoughtful gesture which was appreciated. Additionally the manager checked on each guest which was also nice to see. Overall, it was nice to see my family enjoy their dinner together. I would recommend Ruths to anyone who wants to celebrate a special occasion or just have a nice evening out in downtown San Antonio.
