Ever have one of those meals where everything goes wrong? Normally I try to highlight the good everywhere I go. Couldn't do that here. I don't even know where to start so I will just hit a couple highlights. Eggs were undercooked, hash browns were burnt, bacon was half soft, half crispy. The star of the show was our waitress. I got to sample the taste of her fingers on the rim of my glass, finger in my hash browns, pancakes, and my friend's pancakes. Refills can tucked in between her armpit and breast. The problem was she probably didn't know any better. She couldn't get the computer to work, couldn't recite a simple order. I hate writing reviews like this but I think it has to be put out there. We won't be back to this IHOP anytime soon. read more

I always get the same thing at IHOP so I wanted to try something different. I ordered Steak medium well with mash potatoes and broccoli. The server was super nice but I personally didn't like the steak maybe I should've gotten it well done not sure if that would've made a difference. It looks good but needed more seasoning. Then he said he would find our server. 10-15 mins later a Hispanic looking kid from the back took our order. He was great. We were not white and everyone else was. This was my first meal at this Ihop and I could not have been treated better. I was greeted at the door by a pleasant hostess/server who immediately made me feel welcome. She took me to an appropriate table and within a few seconds my lovely and gracious server , Triniti, welcomed me as well. She gave me some options on the menu and was every so accommodating. My wish was her desire. The manager came over and greeted me as well. Everything was wonderful including the burger. I highly recommend this restaurant as long as they keep the same employees. The first waitress we had was absolutely horrible and never checked to see if we needed refills or anything and gave us an attitude when we brought up refils... for our first time there we were getting disappointed because the only other one is even worse! Thankfully, Kacy took over and saved our trip! She made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond! We will definitely be back again, as long as we have Kacy! Our meals were good and Kacy made sure my daughters meal was replaced since the first time around it was cold and even replaced mine since it was not correct. Stopped in for a quick bite. 5 of us total, 3 ordered off the $6 menu. I had the ham and cheese omelette, I have to give a prenote I am extremely finicky about eggs. Took one bite and gave it to my son who eats military food daily so he's not phased. They were over cooked. The pancakes were the same. They leave them on too long so they are hard. Wife had spinach and mushrooms omelette. She said it was fine but didn't finish it. The military son ordered steak omelette, but he would eat a shoe if it had Tabasco on it. Daughter and other son got chicken tenders and pancakes, she wasn't impressed. Other son drowns food in ketchup and syrup, so he wouldn't know anyway. Ordered the $4 appetizers of mozzarella sticks (bar food) and fries and onion rings (20 fries and 5 rings). Stopped here on a Sunday morning about 11:30 coming home from a trip. They were busy, but kept up with the demands. Excellent service, plenty of help, very attentative to our needs, very friendly, quick and excellent food! Food was hot, coffee was hot and great. Believe it or not, I was looking forward to having a big ol' greazy breakfast at this relatively new joint... 1. It's annoyingly loud. It's an echo chamber. Put up some drapes or something. 2. While the waitress was nice enough, the service was incredibly slow. Putting that on the line cooks. 3. Food was lukewarm. The eggs were impostors at best. I don't come to expect much from an IHOP or any other chain for that matter but this was the worst experience I've ever had an any restaurant. I'm 43 and have been eating for 43 years (a little longer if you count the time I spent on the inside) and eating out on my own for 2/3 of that time. This was the first time I've ever decided to not leave a tip. My waitress had two tables other than mine...it was 2 too many because it took 53 minutes to order, receive and eat an omelette (didn't even get the pancakes or potatoes) and pay. Denver omelette came out without salsa or toast. Asked for hot sauce and my toast, she left to get it and never came back. Well, she did but it felt like never. Oh, but she forgot the hot sauce and there was no butter on the toast. So...I asked for hot sauce (again) and butter. She brought the hot sauce buttttt no butter and disappeared again. I'm assuming there's another dimension past the kitchen doors. When I got up to find butter she reappeared, something like the butler in Mr. Deeds, and said sorry I forgot the butter...no shit. Now that my omelette and toast are cold she wants to warm them up but I wasn't about to risk it, I ate them cold. Now comes time for the bill anddddd she gives me the wrong one, shocker I know. Then charges me for toast as a side. I tried to explain it came with it and she said nope, I showed her in the menu, she said yup. So she was going to leave again and get me my $2.00 but again, I couldn't risk her never coming back so I said I didn't want it, she said "that can be my tip" and that's how she won. read more

Sometimes I like to treat myself to breakfast for dinner. Not sure why I love this so much, but now I've got my family hooked too. IHOP is our go-to place for breakfast. I'm a retired chef and admittedly some will say I'm a food snob. I can count the times on one hand in twenty years that I've eaten at big chain restaurant's like IHOP. I have several reasons for this as I have several allergies and one being gluten, I don't like mass produced food, the staff never knows the ingredients, usually terrible service and truthfully the food is always awful. This was NOT the case on Sunday, 9/5/21. My husband and I had spent the weekend in Lexington for his college reunion and I wanted to have breakfast before heading on our long trip home. We very reluctantly decided to stop at IHOP because it was on our way home, early afternoon and most restaurants weren't serving breakfast anymore. When we pulled into the parking lot it was full with only one makeshift parking spot left. When we walked in there was very long line of people that stretched outside as well. We expected to be waiting for a table for at least 30 - 45 minutes. NOPE, we were seated within 10 minutes! The table was clean and preset, the hostess was very personable and made sure to ask if we would like beverages. The server came to our table within a minute and introduced herself. I told her I had food allergies and she asked all the right questions. I chose Gluten Free Pancakes, Eggs (basted) and Bacon (semi crisp). I asked if they had "real" butter and low and behold they did! Not whipped margarine mixed with butter but real whipped butter and also real butter pats. Our food arrived hot and steamy, perfectly cooked and in a timely manner. Our coffee cups never had a chance to get empty and our plates were cleared in a timely manner. We sat awhile because I was just blown away watching the staff move like a well oiled machine! Seriously blew my mind, I mean come on this is IHOP and on a Sunday! Upon leaving we introduced ourselves to the manager, Rick Sanders. He told us he had just bought this IHOP a month earlier. We told him how well the staff worked together, how amazing our server was and how good our meal was and how blown away we were by it all! We asked for his card and told him we would be leaving a review because dang if they didn't all deserve it! Give this IHOP a try! Very unpleasant experience. Stopped in here during a cross-country trip because we were starving. When we walked in one of the employees looked at us and then looked at one of the other employees. They just stared at each other for a second before one of them finally acknowledged us. The woman seated next to us complained to the waitress when her food came out that she had waited 30 mins to get her omelette. I was concerned that the wait would be long for my food, thankfully it wasn't; however, I couldn't even finish it because the eggs were lukewarm at best, the bacon was chewy (I asked for crispy), and the hash browns were completely burnt and inedible. Absolutely the most scrumptious omelette I've eaten. Ever. Last night, stressed after a bit of car trouble + needing gas and victuals, I stopped at the T/A-IHOP on Route 11. Sat at the bar and requested coffee + a menu. After a few minutes I told the waiter I couldn't decide between the BLT and the Bacon Temptation Omelette. The waiter sang the praises of the Omelette & had me sold. And I'm so glad he did! In addition to being the most scrumptious omelette I've eaten, it's probably the unhealthiest, also! But at that hour I wasn't concerned with healthy. Small Fries on the side were good, the Coffee was just what I wanted, and the Omelette OMG! We were hungry and we're not seeing anything other than fast food joints, so out of desperation we stopped. My husband got his usual, coffee and Nutella crapes. Both were good. The bananas were fresh and there was just the perfect amount of Nutella. I got something from there new menu. Bacon crusted chicken over red potatoes with hollandaise sauce. I started with hot tea and a side salad. I was impressed by how fresh the lettuce was. The only negative was 4 large pieces of onion. The "bacon crust" was more like sprinkled on top, but boy was it tasty. I am a huge fan of hollandaise so I asked for extra. I would not say that there was "extra " but there was enough for the chicken and some of the potatoes. I would say that's my new favorite. It's with a stop! read more

Looked shady at first because the entrance is through a gas station, saw the low rating and was hesitant to go, but gosh, am I glad I went! Was instantly greeted by a bubbly woman with a sense of humor, and my server was fantastic. Sonya was very attentive and kind. Everyone was so respectful and the food delicious. I ordered the lemon ricotta mixed berry crepes and the coffee was great, unlike most other IHOPs I've been to. So grateful to have been so wrong. The low ratings are apparently from when the restaurant was under old management, but there's a new manager with a lot of experience and knows what he's doing. read more

My T-bone was too tough to eat, full of gristle and chunks of fat, and generally the poorest quality of grey, unseasoned and bland beef. My husband had an omelette which was excellent, and the salad and sides that came with my order were excellent. Server was excellent, but the hostess seating us appeared a little disgruntled and not well focused, and we were about ready to leave because no one was showing up. Was actually very impressed with this IHOP. I've never like any IHOP but as a truck driver this was my only choice tonight. Server was awesome. Food was amazingly delicious! I ordered the Poblano omelette and all you can eat pancakes. The omelette was amazing! Spicy and very tasty and surprisingly big! The pancakes all came out hot and very fresh. It pains me to write this negative review, since I was really happy when this IHOP opened, because I like their pancakes - particularly their Holiday specials. Our first visit was good, even though they did not offer the Holiday specials. Our second visit was okay. Our third visit... Although the place was almost empty, we were seated in the side room next to the kitchen door. The "waitress" brought us coffee and menus, and then we never saw her again. 20-25 minutes later, we got up and left after telling the cashier what happened. Breakfast was at the McDonald's in Fairfield (good food and fast, friendly service). This morning, we decided to give IHOP another chance. There were maybe 3 tables of people there when we entered. We were seated in the main section, the waitress brought us menus and took our drink orders. Maybe 10 minutes later, she brought me coffee and my wife a small milk (supposed to be large) and a large orange juice (supposed to be small). While taking our breakfast order, she seemed very unfamiliar with their menu. 20 minutes later, after tables that arrived after us (with a different waitress) were served before us, I flagged down someone and asked her to check on our order since we needed to leave about 25 minutes later for an appointment. She disappeared into the kitchen and we never saw her again. 5-6 minutes later, our waitress came by and said that our orders would be ready soon. At that point, we told her to cancel them as we had an appointment and needed to get some breakfast before it. As we were leaving, the Manager(?) asked us what the problem was, since the kitchen reported that our order had been submitted only 8 minutes before (undoubtedly by the woman we asked to check on our order 20 minutes after we placed it).We explained that we had ordered almost 30 minutes before and had an appointment to keep. He asked us to give them another chance, and we told him that this visit WAS that chance, and that we would not be giving them another. Breakfast was again at the Fairfield McDonald's (good food, but slightly slower service since they were busy). My advice: Traveling north on I-81 with a taste for IHOP? Stop at the ones in Salem or Harrisonburg. Traveling east on I-64? The IHOP in Zion Crossroads is good. Traveling west? Sorry, I do not know what is available west of Lexington, but I would not stop here in any event. read more

Once again I try and go to Sunday morning breakfast at this iHop only to be left standing in the doorway with others waiting for someone to seat us or at least tell us there is a wait. After standing there for several minutes and not seeing anybody making a attempt to serve us I left! I'm a local and have choices where I eat breakfast not like the travelers or poor truck drivers that have to eat there. If I owned that truck stop I would get rid of the iHop and put something else in that I managed. The place is giving to truck stop a bad name. read more

The food here has been very good everytime I have ate here. The service however is another story. Waitresses are completely incompetent. I have been here at there busiest and there slowest times. Makes no difference staff is slow never follow up for refills standing around talking to each other arguing about each other in front of customers. Just horrible service.
