They lost our ticket and never came to our table to tell us our waitress left on an emergency people came and went after us. Ended up our food had to be redone waiter brought it to us but acted pissed that he had to wait on our table and never checked on us. Truly I don't think this ihop deserves an overall rating of 2/5's that it currently has. We arrived late morning today, no wait, meal was standard ihop quality and delish. Waitress was attending and paid attention to details. Only complaint is it was a little awkward walking in as the host walked off as we were walking in (noticing us) to join a group conversation of workers discussing reporting someone to corporate. Definitely didn't feel like a conversation we were suppose to hear and wasn't a warm welcome. However, I know everyone is so short staffed that I want to give this hard working group benefit of the doubt. read more

My experience with this establishment was exceptionally disastrous. With no utensils we found ourselves feeling as if we had bought food from a homeless person, as we were eating like homeless people. Your current rating of 1.9 is too high. Ordered with a food delivery company. Not only will I not order for take out from you, but won't come to your restaurant either. You had the driver wait for 20 min. and hadn't even made the shake. Shake wasn't a shake just soupy milk. Seafood platter was supposed to come with tarter sauce, cocktail sauce & lemon. The service was not the greatest. Our server smelled as if she hadn't showered in weeks, and she looked like it too. Her shirt was filthy and honestly appeared dingy. We got stuffed into a booth next to the only other two full tables in the restaurant, when there were many better options. The food tasted as if it were thrown in a microwave before it came to our table. Additionally, we watched our server walk past our food that was ready in the window for about 15 minutes. So I went in today around 8:30 ish am there were a bit busy as expected on a Sunday morning and I took my 5 year old since I have just gotten off a grave shift and was hungry we waited a good 15 mins nothing wrong but when we got seated the waitress was very rude slammed down our menu and didn't offer us any condiments took forever to even check on us slammed our drinks down just was very rude and when she seated another family she was polite checked on them constantly and even offered them everything condiment more refills I was just very unhappy and tired don't think I'll be going back again read more

Prefacing this review, I'd just like to point out that I've been to it before, and have never had food or service this bad until tonight. My girlfriend was craving an omelette, so we decided to have IHOP for dinner. Hadn't been here in quite a while, and I like their pancakes so it was an easy choice really. As we walked in, the server greeted us and immediately seated us. That would be a bonus except for that she placed us so that I was staring directly into the sun. As she came back from taking our drink order, we asked her if we could move and she agreed to let us move to the back of the restaurant. All fine and dandy. I was a bit indecisive on choosing a food item to order, because I didn't really feel like having pancakes at 7:30 at night. I ended up ordering the Tuscan Chicken Sandwich. Still, after taking plenty of time to decide, the waitress probably took at least an additional 10 minutes to come around and take our order. Girlfriend chose the International Omelette. After a little while, our food arrived. Taking the first bite of the chicken sandwich, I knew this wasn't going to be a pleasant experience. I couldn't taste the pesto (which is one of the reasons I ordered the sandwich in the first place), and the sun-dried tomatoes tasted off. As an option, I chose the french fries as my side. I love french fries, but these tasted like they just came out of the freezer, and were pretty bland overall. My girlfriend was annoyed that she didn't receive any salsa with her omelette, and had to flag down our waitress to get some. In return, she got a small cup that was barely enough for a few bites. She didn't ask for more, but that was likely because the waitress was too busy goofing off and laughing with the kitchen staff. This is with only 2 tables that our waitress was attending to. You see, this particular IHOP has a shade that separates the dining room from the kitchen, so we could hear everything. There were constant bursts of laughter, and occasional loud phrases heard (one was "That's terrible!" I'd hope whatever was "terrible" was nothing more than a simple, lewd joke and nothing else). Not something I want to hear from a kitchen. Overall, the best part of my dinner was the pickle spear that was next to my fries. After all, they didn't have to cook or prepare it in anyway, so how could they screw it up? My girlfriend was disappointed since she was really craving an omelette and the lack of salsa and inattentive service made it impossible to enjoy. read more

Alright, I'm giving the staff of Idaho Falls IHOP the benefit of the doubt; note the 3 stars. I'd give 2.5 if possible. After reading all of the unfavorable reviews, and then noticing that most of them were over a year old, I decided to give it a whirl and see if I could refresh the reviews. My experience was far less than favorable. I came here at 5:50pm, prior to catching a 7pm showing of Skull-Poop-L. (Highly recommend). I was seated promptly by a young lady, who was playing as both the hostess and the waitress. After a few minutes, my drink order was taken, followed by my food order. That's when I realized that IHOP was severely understaffed. My waitress was the only one there taking of care of half a dozen tables. After a while, 2 gentlemen helped join in the fray as the crowd grew larger. One man was pulling the waiter/host combo as well, while the 3rd gentleman seemed to be involved in a triple threat combo, moving between a host, a waiter, and a kitchen staff. The whole ordeal was chaotically unorganized, with the 3 employees rushing around, clearly stressed and overwhelmed. I had plenty of time to observe all of this because I did not receive my food until 6:45pm...15 minutes before my movie started...color me annoyed. So after waiting nearly an hour for my food, and realizing how close I was to my movie, I had to scarf down my food. While doing so, I was able to actually taste some of it, which was surprising because of how quickly I was eating. The bacon was a sad texture; not cooked very well, not crunchy, and it had a strange aftertaste. The toast was dry and unbuttered, and my chocolate chip pancakes were burned around the edges. They didn't even have any maple syrup at any of the tables, and I didn't have the time to ask for any, so that attraits to my pancakes being dry. I finished my food in a record 7 minutes, and soon after had my check and was out the door. While the overall experience was severely disappointing, the reason why I'm leaving this review with 3 stars is because of the staff. Previous reviews have described the staff to be rude or unfriendly. This was not the case tonight. They were all very friendly, kind, and helpful. The triple threat even offered me a free soda, which I politely declined. They were all just clearly not provided with the means or staff to run the night smoothly; I honestly felt sorry for them. I've visited many IHOPs before, but this was certainly my least enjoyable escapade. While I may return here, I don't see that happening in the foreseeable future. read more

There was 4 of us that decided to go for breakfast on a Saturday morning. We got seated quickly and our waiter was friendly but our meal took an hour to come out. I know they were busy so we expected to wait but we were expecting the food at least be somewhat enjoyable when we got it. It was terrible and disappointing. The omelet came out with literally two stiff pieces of deli cheese on top, we asked that to go back to have it melted. The crepes we ordered were thick and pancake like with no creme filling. Our toast came out when we were done with our meal. I kindly told the waiter how terrible the food was also mentioning that I knew it wasn't his fault. I know I shouldn't have super high expectations for IHOP but this was ridiculous. They offered no discount off of our food. Will not be back. read more

Ok I do this review with reticence, because of past bad experience. However, when things go well, they deserve to be reported. I was compelled to go because my wife loves the harvest grain and nut pancakes. So after a 2 year hiatus from the IF IHOP, we went back. It was 10:30 am so maybe the Saturday morning rush was over, we were seated right away. So far so good , usually they lose me just trying to get seated here. My wife got the breakfast with cheese scrambled eggs and the HG&N pancakes see pic. I got the bacon burger. All was excellent. I had said hold tomato and cheese and she misunderstood and didn't put on the bacon but more than made up for it by quickly bringing 4 slices of bacon. I asked for extra mayo and Heinz 57 and she remembered and lemons with the diet coke and she brought 4 large slices. So all was really excellent especially compared to the past. A fantastic place to eat. My partner and I got out food and quickly realized that one should never get anything besides pancakes at the house of pancakes. The food wasn't the best but what really sent the experience through the roof was when my partner noticed some mold on his Serrano pepper that came with his meal. Our waitress didn't come back so we finished the food we dared eat and once we both started doing origami out of the napkins she finally returned with the check. On the way home I got to see my partner park his car in the Burger King parking lot and vomit on the side of 17th street. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I just came back from IHOP half an hour ago (I live in a different town) and again I'm fairly disappointed. Last time I went (about a year ago) they completely undercooked my chicken so I didn't go back. However I decided to give it a shot. Our server was...very and I mean VERY boring and plain. We did NOT feel welcomed at all. The seating was weird too. He sat one family in one room and then sat us right across the other side of the restaurant. It was also only two tables including us. It took him a fairly long while just to get us waters. And even longer to take our orders. Not to mention how long we had to wait for our food. I noticed we were there for 40 minutes and my husband and I usually take about 10 minutes to eat since we don't really sit around. So all that 30 minutes was just sitting there waiting. I ordered the sirlong tip mushroom omelet. And my husband ordered the breakfast sampler. My sirlong omelet was such a let down in presentation. On the picture (now I know not to expect much) it was an omelet covered with mushrooms, tomato, hash brown, cheese and steak pieces on top. Mine literally (no joke I counted) had three...THREE mushrooms and ONE steak piece. And the cheese was completely just thrown on the side of the omelet. I was very disappointed by the presentation. My husband's dish was very greasy looking. Also my hash browns on the side was burnt. There wasn't even that much too! It was like a children size hash brown that was half black and half brown. Thankfully, it was decent. But our waiter was very poor. Just like Talor B. said, I heard him and the freaking MANAGER laugh and joke very loudly. I was hoping the manager would tell him to work or something but instead they ignored us and joked with each other. And we overheard them making fun of my husband for being mexican. Very disrespectful! Another thing that bothered me was that as soon as we got our meal, ten seconds later he handed our tickets and never checked on us again. Waitress took my two plates away, there was still food on them. She never asked if I was done! I mentioned this to her when she brought our check. She said she could get another order! Not good at all. The wife ordered chicken that was completely RAW AF( blood vessel and all). After she threw up in the bathroom and I sent her chicken back they brought out her salad finally. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Will never ever go to IHOP in IF again. Steak tips were worse then shoe leather (have no idea what shoe leather taste like, but has to be better then their tips), way, way over cooked. Potato Soup, the potatoes were hard, and some where like rubber, very chewy. 3.99 for a Strawberry shake that was the size of a kids cup. No whip topping on top, no cherry. Ordered a Philly Steak sandwich to go, with not side (no fries, soup or salad) still had to pay full price. If that is how all IHops are, I will not go back to any of them. Prices are way to high for what you get. Can't even give them a one star. read more

I love the Butter Pecan syrup, in fact it is the only reason we go to I hop. Unfortunately it takes one to ruin it for all in some circumstances. The waitress was horrible. She took 20 minutes to even take our drink order brought halfthe drinks (there were only 2 of us) and then stated that they were out of hot chocolate. I ordered a different drink. We ordered our food when it came to the table I asked for a side of ranch and a side of sour cream. The waitress acted put out and only brought back the ranch. Another table came in and ordered hot chocolate, which they recieved. The waitress never came back to check on us. I had to request my check. My husband used the restroom before we left and was only in there for 3 minutes. There were syringes on the toilet paper dispenser. We will never be back. read more
