Ribs and wings with onion rings; Italian Nachos
    Shelby C.

We definitely enjoyed our visit to the Firehouse Grill! I say this in the most positive way possible- it is basically an elevated Chili's or Applebee's, or what those restaurants used to be. Easy, likable comfort food. The menu provides options for every palette- mainly American classics, with a few twists and surprises thrown in. I had the Italian nachos, which were so fun and flavorful! My husband had the platter of wings and ribs with a side of onion rings- the wings and rings were absolutely delicious, but the ribs could have been more tender. Service was friendly and efficient. I would visit again!

We come here at least every couple of months. I love the turkey avocado club sandwich with fries. My wife prime and cheese sandwich. We got California rolls for an appetizer. They were delicious.

    The Mediterranean salad

A find it's hard to get a really good salad in Idaho Falls. But the Firehouse Grill has some very good salads. The one in the photo is The Mediterranean with black olives, parmesan cheese, roasted chicken, artichokes, and other lovely stuff. It's very good. Another salad of theirs I like is the Gryo Salad. It's delightful as well. Definitely if you want salad this is a restaurant you need to consider.

We had a server who friendly helpful/hospitable. We were seated immediately, after ordering food arrived in timely fashion. I enjoyed my meal while watching multiple sport channels. It was wasn't noisy but we came in late in the night (8:30).

    Daily specials (August 2021)

I came here during their happy hour (Monday through Saturday 3pm-7pm; Fridays and Saturdays 9pm-close) which include $1 off big beers, 50 cents off house wines, and other discounts on drinks and bar food. They also have daily specials such as discounted big beers on Sundays, happy hour wings and beers on Wednesdays, and happy hour margaritas on Thursdays. Because it was Thursday I decided to get their house margarita ($5.85) which was good and easy to drink. I also ordered their strong island ($6) which is their version of the long island which is also on their happy hour menu and it is what its name suggests. It is strong and really good; it only has a splash of coke so you'll taste way more liquor than normal because the coke isn't there to cover it up. For food I ordered the boneless wings ($4.99) and the chili cheese fries ($5). For the wings I ordered medium which was their buffalo sauce but they were good. The fries were very cheesy which is what I love; there's a good amount of chili too but it's just smothered by all the cheese. This is your typical sports bar with tons of TVs everywhere. It's a Boston sports bar with the large Fenway sign on the wall and was a good place to watch some sports and talk to some other people at the bar.

April 2026 Idaho Falls, Idaho…read more I was surprised to see this place is attached to a hotel when I drove up. Typically I do not eat at restaurants that are attached to a hotel. However, Yelp told me it was a 4.3 star place to eat. I asked if they had any nonalcoholic beers. The waiter brings me a can of beer to show me what it is. When I tell him that I will have it. He says well I'll just take it back and put it in a glass. So they bring me a 16 ounce glass with the beer poured in and it only filled 12 ounces. I ordered the Nacho Mama's Dip. It is a chicken nacho dip. The waiter told me it was a large portion so I am eating that just as my meal. My husband ordered the fish and chips. When you walk in the front door, the bar is right there. Pretty large bar for one to sit and enjoy a drink or a meal. To the right our booths and high tables that line the wall as well as some booths in the middle of the restaurant that make you feel like you are sitting under a gazebo. There are tables and booths on the far wall as well. The tables are cut to appear like a live edge wood top table. The booths sit too low and the table sits high. Even my husband who is 6'2 felt an imbalance with the table to chair. My nachos come out and the cheese sauce is dripping off the side of the dish. It is an absolute mess. The nacho chips are off to the side. The toppings consist of black olives and onions with four pieces of diced tomatoes. Accompanied by a side plastic dish is salsa, sour cream, and guacamole. The guacamole is definitely not homemade. My biggest complaint is the cheese sauce is definitely from a can. The cheese that they did put on the nachos was a slice of cheese that was not even melted. See picture. Reminds me that I am eating in a restaurant attached to a hotel. There are no beans. The chicken is mixed in with the cheese sauce. And it is sparingly there. This dish is absolutely disgusting! The fish and chips were terrible. They're served in a basket with four pieces of fish and they sit upon fresh cut fries. The fish was not good. The batter has a odd taste. Perhaps the oil it is fried in? I think I would've been better off going to Culver's and having their fish platter. Although my beYr was in a can, it was very cold. It was truly the best part of my meal. I am so disappointed that yelp led me to this place. This is my warning to others. Stay away. We had two completely different meals and neither of them were good.

It gets chilly at night so it was great to find an indoor bar that allows dogs inside. I ordered the flight if beers, which is essentially a sample of 8 beers on tap. Now I can't remember all of them, but I did like 3- cider and 4- cream ale. I ordered the trout with clam chowder. Soup was really good and had lots of clams in it. Very flavorful and it didn't need the crackers. My Trout was pretty big! Wish there were more veggies in the plate. The fries were good, but should've got the baked potato instead. I got suckered by the hand cut Idaho potatoes. My boyfriend ordered the elk burger medium rare and they made it perfectly! I personally thought it was a bit too raw in the middle, but he loved it! He also enjoyed the onion rings.
