Electric sign says open. Hours on the door says open today 12/31/2025. Walk in told we are closed even though people Were there eating at 2:00pm. Don't have all your signs say open and make people walk in from the parking lot one who is disabled and then told closed. Horrible! read more

Nowhere that's where, and this Hackettstown location represents their brand solidly.    This was my first time trying their version of Chicken and Waffles and I gotta say the meal didn't disappoint with it's Crispy Breaded Boneless Fried Chicken on one side and Light Fluffy Waffles on the other side all covered in Maple Syrup and Butter it definitely hit the spot. We were looking to kill some time in the area and thought a breakfast at IHOP would hit the spot. We were greeted and seated as soon as we arrived. Our waiter Thomas was helpful and attentive from start to finish. I ordered the pancake combo (strawberry banana pancakes, sunny side up eggs, bacon and hash browns) and everything tasted great! My mom got the lemon blueberry ricotta crepes which she also thought were delicious. Towards the end of our meal the waiter asked if I needed a refill, and I said yes. However, since it took a few minutes, and we were near the end of the meal, our waiter brought it out in a to-go cup so I could choose to finish it here or take it with me, which I really appreciated! The Rating & Reviews got it wrong ! Driving into NJ from PA for family adventure day with the wife and kids . The kids said they wanted IHOP . So I googled and got directions to the Hackettstown NJ Location . I looked at the reviews and seen they were low but the kids wanted IHOP so we went anyway . I must say the bad reviews do not reflect what we experienced. The food came out fast and hot . The fruit bowls were fresh & crisp unlike other IHOPs we have visited . The Pancakes were like the Oldschool IHOP traditional Pancakes . The Pesto Omelette was outrageous (my wife's choice) MY kids had pancakes fries and chicken tenders but I also ordered them a broccoli. My 6 year old daughter loved the broccoli so much she ordered another . She ate 2 orders of broccoli (She never eats anything) Then after eating I needed to use the restroom . It was pristine ! Very clean . All in all my wife and I were shocked at the bad reviews and it was not our experience . On a final note the waitress was very pleasant and on point with everything . Overall the experience was 5 stars truly and I am a hard critic . Don't believe the nonsense. We will come back to this specific location again just for the broccoli alone if my 6 year old will eat it like she did ! lol keep up the good work guys !! read more

This is the second time I've gone to IHOP and ended up walking out because of the service. There were two servers-- the female tried her best, but the male spent more time going to the restroom. We were seared by the male, but never offered a glass of water. The people who sat after us were served before us. Not once did a manager come by to ask if everything was okay. read more

seems as though most of the servers are new, so don't expect fast services however they are kind but just know you'll be waiting a while (an hour in my case) to get your food. food is to be expected average so no complaints there. read more

Haven't been at the Hackettstown IHOP for years, but I was in town and grabbed a bite with my wife. Food was good and service by Genesis was amazing, nice sweet girl, she was on point all the time asking us if we needed anything. As for the rest of the restaurant it was filthy and the Mens bathroom was sticky and disgusting. You can see the pictures yourself. The restaurant needs a revamp, very old and rundown. The booth latís divisions are all broken and falling, looks like a hazard in my opinion. read more

I have had several stomach surguries for gastrointestinal disorders so I cant eat meat. Asked for the impossible sausage. I didnt realize it was normal sausage until it was to late. I got sick while i was there and have been having to go to the bathroom to vomit with stomach pains since I left. This also wasnt the first time they did something like this. They once tried to convince me there was no butter on my food when you could clearly see the small scoop of it on top. These people need to take their sausage and go to the Turkey Sausage king... Cracker Barrel, and do a taste test. We walked out.......I am a 55 year old female who accompanied my mom's aid and my mom, who is disabled in a wheel chair. I had to find someone to get us a table. We were placed away from the crowd. It took 30 mins for someone to take our order and bring coffee. We waited and waited. Everyone else got their food but us! I went up and asked a waitress and she said it's coming. We left after waiting an hour an a half!!!! We never felt more excluded in a restaurant. It was obvious they did not want to serve us! We left $10 for coffee. Well it's what can be expected of an IHOP. I love coming here because it's never super crowded and we typically don't have to wait for a table or long for food (unlike the IHOP on route 17). They had a new salted caramel banana waffle, and me being the uber eat-badstuff all the time person that I am just HAD to try. That we were the only customers in the place should have been our first clue that this would be an awful experience. I ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns and pancakes. The eggs had a funny taste and I stopped eating them because I thought maybe they were bad. My hash browns were basically a clump of once-frozen potato shreds that were burnt to a crisp and hard as a rock. My mom ordered a spinach and onion omelet but it only had onion in it.
