    How much I spent !

Ordered IHOP today and once I arrived to pick up the Oder they notified me that they didn't have part of my order! Should have notified me before I drove to pick it up!

Burned pancakes. Look at the difference between the ones that are done and the one that was burned.

Food was ok. Had to wait 15 minutes to get waited on. Once got our food nobody came back for refills or to see if we needed anything else

Less than decent so I won't be back. T-bone steak tasted old and their omelette is very dry.

The Sirloin Steak Tips are super good. The tips are well down but soft, and it's a little sweet, very delicious.

It's located right down the street from Northwestern University's football stadium (whatever the heck they're naming it). This is a nice hidden gem in Evanston. Not located downtown, it may have a chance to stick around a while. As Jane V. noted in her review, you are greeted by a delicious smoky smell when you enter the restaurant. It was an inviting smell (at least for me), others in our group thought we were walking into a barbecue joint and were less than thrilled, but the menu put them at ease as it has a lot of options. There were five of us and one couple decided to share a couple appetizers as their entrees. They ordered the Cauliflower Buffalo Bites, and the Macho Nacho. They were huge portions easily enough for us all to share. However, my wife and I don't see eye-to-eye with our eating habits (she is mostly vegetarian and I'm a card-carrying carnivore), so she was not about to share the smoky wings and cheesy tots with me. I opted for the Chicken Vesuvio entree, and she and our other friend both ordered the Inside-Out Grilled Cheese. I would say most the sandwiches looked good (no portobello for me, thanks). I would say though, the desserts are pretty generic, so we opted out, but their is a door inside the restaurant to the donut shop next door (which was closed), but I wanted to try that place, so I'll have to make another trek out there for them and review them later. I'm amazed that the donut shop, DB3 Donuts, does not appear on their menu at all, despite having a connecting door from one establishment to the other, but alas, I've heard their apple crisp and brownie are good, but neither were too appealing that night. All meals were delicious and I definitely need to go back and try other dishes. And may DB3, if they are open. Give this place some love as it is a nice gem in Evanston.

Holy Moley, did we find great food in Evanston!…read more We celebrated Saint Patrick's Day at Ten Mile House restaurant in Evanston @tenmilehouse When we walked in the door, they had a delicious smoky smell that was driving me crazy. So much so that I ordered the smoked Sampler plate, and was I glad I did. I started off with their Top O' The Morning special Saint Patrick's cocktail (Titos, Curacao, and orange juice shaken and poured over ice). I really loved this drink. My hubby had a Margarita that was just delightful. Our appetizers were: Angry Shrimp (really delicious) shrimp with a spicy tomato garlic sauce. Served over polenta cake. Ahi Tuna Wanton (mango jicama salsa, avocado, and teriyaki sauce) This should be their signature appetizer). The presentation is impeccable. It appealed to our eyes before the 1st bite. And,the first bite, as well as the rest, was wonderful. We would gladly return here just for this. Our entrees were: Grilled Salmon with corn risotto, grilled asparagus, smoked tomato aioli. The salmon was well cooked to medium, not too dry, and not too rare. The plate was well balanced and everything was very tasty. Smoked Sampler My favorite! Rib tips, brisket, pulled pork, Texas toast, cole slaw. For dessert: Chocolate Brownie Apple Crisp Both were so good that we did not want to share! The next time you are in the Evanston area, you really must stop in for their delicious food!

First thing, I was disappointed they had no hot dog special, you know, like 2 hot dogs, fries and a drink for x dollars. It was all a la cart. And one hot dog was $5.05, fries not included. I decided to get the Herm's special, which is supposed to be a 1/2 lb. Cheeseburger with fries and a drink. It was $18.55 so i figured it was going to be on par with Five Guys, which charges around $21 but you get a ton of fries and a really good burger. Ok, I'm waiting for my dinner. Here's where it goes off the rails... While I'm sitting, waiting for my food, the guy is making a hot dog for another customer. He's holding the bun in his left hand (no gloves), while applying the condiments. After he's done, he takes money from the customer with the same hand, and proceeds to make another hot dog, with the same unwashed hand. That's a major red flag. My burger arrived shortly after that. The burger? Good but undersized for the price. The fries were thin and average at best. Small portion for the price. I had to use the bathroom downstairs, and it was out of soap. Another red flag there. Look, Poochie's is better, cheaper, cleaner, and right down the road. Sorry, but I was disappointed with Herm's.

Nothing overly complicated -- just a really well-executed burger. Little Bad Wolf has the accolades to back it up. The Little Bad Wolf isn't just a story... it's a phenom dot com restaurant that you NEED to visit! My family and I visited after a Saturday Cubs game and luckily, there were still a handful of tables available and we were promptly seated. The staff were super friendly and provided excellent service! Almost everyone at our table ordered the Wolf Burger after hearing my sister and her husband rave about it. When our orders came to the table, we were all PLEASANTLY surprised at how beautifully stacked and dressed our burgers were. A triple stack of patties, topped with cheese, bacon, a fried egg, crispy onions, and housemade pickles?! That's a recipe for delicious success right there! The Wolf Burger was indeed SCRUMPTIOUS! My goodness, I am still thinking about it two whole days later and how I can't wait to revisit this restaurant and try some more of their menu items. An honorable mention goes out to the delicious fries on the side!! They were the perfect cut, well-seasoned, and out-of-this-world. I HIGHLY recommend Little Bad Wolf to all folks looking for a delicious experience! The burger is sensational, the environment is impeccable, and this is a great spot if you're going on a date or out with friends.

We stopped in today to grab a little lunch. Our server was extremely friendly! But the service was lacking. Our meal came out. We had to ask for napkins. So I just used the toothpick to spread the chipotle mayo. The cheesesteak sliders sounded so delicious. But there was barely any meat on them. We took off the top bun, but even then not enough meat. Listen, I am a true Evanstion and I really want them to succeed! But they're definitely going to need to up their game. On the positive side. There were many large green TVs with lots of football! It'd be a super great place to go watch some football. Definitely give it a try for Monday night Bears game.
