We stopped here on our way home last night and was not impressed. Yes, I realize this is a pancake house but the food was not an issue. We ordered burgers and fries - they were good. The service was where we were disappointed. Our server visited the table to take our drink order, our food order and then when our food arrived - no problems there, other than it was slow and they were not busy. We were less than 1/2 way finished when my son had to visit the restroom...as soon as we left the table the server came by to ask if we were ready to pay the bill- which we weren't since all of us were still eating. The next visit - 5 minutes later - came the bill. The server came by every 2 or 3 minutes after that to see if we were ready to pay. I doubt we got out of there as fast as they would have liked. I would literally give this place zero stars if I could. Our waitress "birdie" stopped by about ten minutes after we were seated... She took our order and then disappeared... About twenty minutes after that, we had to grab a bus boy to get our drinks. We then proceeded to wait another twenty minutes for our food... To give perspective, there was about five customers in the place... When we got our food, we asked for our checks because we were in a hurry... She brought out mine and my wife's check... Messed up our friends check... So she went to "correct" their check... Fifteen minutes later our friend wakes to the bathroom.... She's sitting there visiting with the other waitresses... I love IHOP. This IHOP in Deming, NM has issues. The dinning room seemed fairly clean. Service was ok. Food was not up to par with other IHOPs. I had the big steak omelette with some pancakes. Later that day I fell ill from the food. When I asked others in the area about the place they all said stay away. It was not a good place to eat. read more

This is a chain IHOP with their standard menu. Opened in Jan 2014. Very clean. The cook had a little trouble with "basted easy" but got it perfect on the second try. Service was excellent and friendly. We added this restaurant to Yelp because it was not listed on Yelp or google maps and we stumbled on it on our way to Denny's. This afternoon my husband and I visited this location. The service was great. Unfortunately my food came out cold and not fully cooked. The WORST service I have ever had. My mother, myself, and my three children stopped to eat on our road trip. We waited over an hour for pancakes. When our food was brought out it was cold. We were all so hungry we ate the food anyway. My son ordered the Nutella crepes and the bananas were rotten. The waiter was in incompetent. We asked for warm syrup that never came. At the end of our meal, we expressed our frustrations and refusal to pay for the rotten banana crepes that my son wouldn't eat. The waiter didn't apologize and made excuses for his lack of service. Drinks came after we asked another waitress where our waitress was. After a number of excuses she got our drinks. I asked for silverware and finally got up and took some from another table. Food came: soup lukewarm, eggs ordered over medium came out runny, fries were cold A "manager" came to table and asked about food. I said ok. She said only ok?? I told her about the poor service etc and she said "so sorry" and walked away. Waited for our waitress/cashier so we could pay. Lots of reviews indicating problems with service and food so I gave them a try myself. My hostess was training a new employee and there were some delays getting seated for that but my simple breakfast came out promptly and tasted just fine. There is some uncertainty in the air and open talk about procedures and personnel matters among the staff, surprising after the restaurant has been open this long - perhaps the staff turnover has been high. Diners near me were informed of a long list of menu items that were unavailable, that due to kitchen problems most fried items were not available, and that their supply truck was two weeks late. But the place was clean on a weekday morning, food was fine, and overall met my expectations for an IHOP although there are clearly some logistical issues to be straightened out. I'd suggest the personnel talk be taken out of the dining room but I would return. read more

My boyfriend and I have eaten here twice within the last week. Both visits were during dinner. The parking lot was practically empty, good news for us. Both times our orders were correct, tasty and delivered within a timely manner. The staff was polite and responsive. Or second visit the young lady may have checked on us a little much. We were on a road trip and decided to find a sit down restaurant to eat at. the table we were shown to had not been cleaned yet. The waitress came over and gave us menus. We got our coffee finally, they said they were making a fresh pot, however it was warm, not hot. Then we ordered and also ordered glasses of water. after asking a couple of more times for water, water arrived. When our orders finally arrived, everything was warm, not hot. No telling how long the order had been sitting waiting. the pancakes were soggy underneath, probably put on a plate with water in it. Eggs were runny, though I had order fried hard, as it is hard to mess up eggs. Food was not really worth it, should have gone through a drive through and kept on the road, as it was we lost over 10 minutes extra waiting and having to keep reminding about water. Our waitress, Suzette was a complete gem! The regional manager, however, was absolutely horrible and rude. She spoke to her employees as if they were incapable of understanding and not worth the respect they deserve. Absolutely mind boggling. We usually love to eat at IHOP when we are traveling because we have a consistent experience no matter where we are. However, we ate at the location in Deming, NM and had a horrible experience. First off, the server ce to the table and said "after I serve you you can tell me how horrible of a job I did" which should have been a clue to us. He was incompetent, and he either did not have the mental capacity to do the job, or he was acting like he was stupid. He served my friend coffee then brought a straw and said "they told me to give you this", we ordered grits and he brought them to the table and told us "he has never made them before" they were so watery and undercooked we could not eat them. The rest of our meal was not much better. I had cold scrambled eggs and sausage, with undercooked French toast, and my friend had cold food with pancakes that were raw in the middle. The resturant was relatively empty, and we were the only table this server was waiting on. We spent $37.06, and two dollars of our change included two rolls of pennies, and we were handed the bill before any of our food. I am appalled by the service at this location. read more

It took 45 minutes for our breakfast to arrive and they were ICE cold!!!! Plus, other parties that arrived after us, their food arrived before ours and weren't sent back because they were cold.
