Surprised to find civilization along the 9. It was my first time on this highway. It was a fluke that we stopped. The cafe is decorated nicely. We even took a picture with the mural painted outside. We were greeted by a friendly young lady and she answered questions we had regarding the menu. I ended up ordering the green chile pizza for myself and chicken tenders for my 9 year old. I've tried many different style of pizzas. So far my favorites are pastrami pizza and a carnitas pizza at a local pizzeria in my hometown. The green Chile pizza blew me away. The texture of the dough, taste, and flavors all complemented each other perfectly. This is hands down my favorite pizza now!! I'm in mourning just thinking I may never come by here again. I wish Uber Eats was an option so I can taste this goodness again. read more

On a road trip, was about to make a right hand turn and just felt the glowing open sign drawing me in. So glad I stopped! I wasn't too hungry so I went with the enchilada fries. I'm from San Diego so my bar is pretty high for carne asada on fries, and MAN these were amazing. From the texture of the fries, to the flavor of the sauce, meat, and cheese... I'm blown away. Love this place! Ate here heading to Ft. Worth, hubby got breakfast and I had a sub, both were fantastic! Heading back to Arizona started to take I 10 but decided of Hwy 9 so we could try again. Once again they didn't let us down. We both had breakfast this time, had to send my eggs back due to new waitress not listening to order, no problem I was very happy when I got my eggs over easy within 2 mins!!! I love the whole wheat toast, it was fantastic! The eggs were nice and a rich yellow yolk almost orange! If going thru Columbus, NM, do NOT pass this place without a meal. They have great burritos to go. We got 2 heading east and then 3 heading west heading home, they were great!! Hope they keep it going, Thank You for Great Food and Friendly service!! As former bakery owners, we are tough customers and hardly ever go out to eat because we're often disappointed, especially while traveling as getting good intel on what is good is a challenge. We were staying at the State Park​ nearby and I went for a walk and saw how cute this place was so hubby and I decided to have breakfast. I had to twist his arm because he really wanted to get an early start. I told him if we ate out we wouldn't have to wash dishes, plus, the cafe opened at 7 am​. What a cute place, done up right with just the right amount of charm, and you can tell a lot of love went into the building of this place. The owner and his awesome server added to the homey relaxed atmosphere. I had the green chili breakfast bagel with a side of sausage and my husband had the "classic breakfast". Both were served to perfection with ample coffee refills​. They also have breakfast burritos ready to go in their hot case which the locals were totally taking advantage of. Forget taking the 10 all the way east or west, take a detour to hwy 9 and see better sites with less traffic and more gems like this cafe. read more
