It was our first time trying Blake's Lotaburger and we loved it!! The employees were so sweet and even offered our dog a treat. Everything was made fresh and tasted delicious. We loved the New Mexico Burger- spicy and super tasty. The milkshakes were yummy and we loved the ice in our sodas. We also tried all three fries and can't decide which we like better!! I wish I could've caught the employees names but we were there on 2/24 around 1:30 pm. Bottomline: we are Blake fans now! read more

Everything I expected from a late night burger! Great employees, $26 to feed my family of 4, freshly cooked and good taste. The vibes in here were 100%. Employees did a great job. Good ambiance. This place is truly terrible. I last visited a Lotaburger almost 30 years ago and was excited to relive what had been a fond memory. The current Lotaburger reality--at least at this location--is a nightmarish take on fast food. My burger was cold. Not lukewarm; COLD. When I told the person working the register, they just said, "Sorry," and shrugged. My nephew's chicken tenders were frozen in the middle. Frozen as in "visible ice crystals." Now those, the front counter person was willing to make right. Except "making right" in this instance was of a punitive nature, as what we received in return were charred pieces of carbonaceous material masquerading as poultry. Perhaps they were understaffed. Perhaps the kitchen crew was just having a bad day. But I can only judge this establishment on what I experienced during the unfortunate timing of my visit...and I judge it as the worst fast food meal I have ever endured. read more

The Blake's in Bayard is way better food and service then the one in Silver. The last 3 times we have ordered the food was hot, fresh and delicious. The young men behind the counter were helpful and friendly read more

Blakes is a New Mexico tradition. Hard to beat a Blake's bacon green chile cheeseburger! All locations are great.

So the green chile cheeseburgers are great, HOWEVER, you are missing out of you don't try their breakfast menu. Usually only until 11am and not every Blake's offers it, but if they do, the green chile burritos with either bacon or sausage are amazing. Super flavorful and hot green chile, fresh eggs, and hash browns. The red chile is equally as good and not is hot for those with less of a chile-heat tolerance. The ladies at the Blake's in Bayard were very polite and helpful. read more

I love Blake's. I always get one when I am in the area. This place was not the best. My green chili burger had very little green chili on it. I could barely taste it. The hamburger was decent as always, but the green chili is why I come here. The guy at the register kicked me out because I did not have a mask. The entire staff had their mask on below the nose. Hamburger was good but the facilities are just filthy and the staff is not trained well in presentation. Handed our bag of food with a huge greasy hand print on it, handed me napkins they to had a huge greasy hand print. Floor is dirty, tables dirty, facility and bathrooms old and not well maintained. Dropped over $20 in this afternoon lace order was wrong, told the carhop (can't go inside to order right now) waited another, 30 mins got tired of waiting went to door she came out told me that her manager said order was right. I said ok then give me my money back she grabbed somebody else's order went back into the store. Comes out after 10 mins and says nope my manager said order was made right go talk to her if you want. Ok well you have to put mask on. Now mind you ALL STAFF INSIDE ARE NOT WEARING MASKS. So I put a mask go tell her it's wrong and I want my money back. She tells me no it's right, no that's not what was ordered it doesn't even match the ticket. Manager picks up both burgers puts the extra patty on my burger and says there you go it's right now. I laughed and said no I'll just take my money for the 2 burgers. She says I have to call my General Manager I'll let you know what she says. Waited another 10 to 15 mins for a grand total of 1 hr and says my GM said 1 of 2 options I can make the burgers again or you can have your original order back. So needless to say I'm out $20, and won't be returning there ever again. read more

As In and Out burger is to California, New Mexico has it's LOTA Burger. Get the Lota Burger with New Mexico green chile diced. Excellent flavor and the burger truly is amazing. Although cooked medium well that's the only true criticism of this Iconic fast food chain. If you are ever passing through the Southwest of New Mexico, and you're ever in the Grant County area, Las Cruces or Deming areas try this fantastic place. read more

Got my daughter a grilled cheese today. When we got it there was two hamburger buns flipped upside down with cold cheese inside. When I took it in and asked about it they stated that's how they do it. I stated no it's not it comes on Texas toast and the cheese is supposed to be melted ! We go to this lotaburger a lot. We always order over the phone because we are driving from mimbres. The last three times we've tried to get food here, we order two burgers and 3 seasoned fries. They say okay and charge us, but when we arrive they tell us "we didn't make your fries because we shut our Fryers off" If you're going to shut the fryers off, make every order you've taken before doing so. Tonight they made our fries, then right in front of us, gave our order of fries to an EMPLOYEES friend who had been there socializing, for free. Then told us we couldn't have fries because they couldn't make new ones because the fryers were now off. Utter bullshit. read more

If you want the "Old-School" Blake's experience, you need to go the Lotaburger in Bayard! This place is classic, and the people who work there actually care about making the burgers just like the photo you see on the menu. And if you see the Peach Shake on the menu (seasonal), you better get one, or two; they are that delicious! read more

The green chile Burger was as delicious as usual! Have to get one of these Burgers every single time I'm in town!

While visiting my cousin's, they turned me on to this yummy place. Not only was the Lotaburger good, you even had an option to add Hatch Green Chile. Which of course I did. The burger was perfectly cooked and I split in half to share with my dad. It was plenty big and the meal came with fries and a drink. The view was outstanding looking at the back side of the mountains and my cousin pointed out what they call the Needle. It was a hole at the tip of the cliff, very cool. Back to why I didn't 5 star, even though I know soda isn't good for you their machine was out of syrup making it all carbinated....yuck. read more

First visit ever, and had high hopes based on other reviews. But the only good thing was the milk shake. We placed our order at 1:19, not a busy time, but there were other people there. We received our order just after 2:00 p.m. Two Lotaburgers, one fry, two drinks. Not hard to do. But, as I told my wife, at least they will be hot off the grill. Wrong. How could they cool when our order was just called? And the bun was hard in areas, maybe too grilled? Hard to think about going to another Blake's. read more
