When you first go in, everything appears wonderful and warm, but the quality isn't what I expected. My family and I waited 40 minutes for our breakfast, and it arrived dry on our table, indicating that it had been ready for some time. Furthermore, a couple who arrived after us had already received their breakfast and left, which I find strange and intriguing merely because we arrived first, just a note. As we sat down to eat our breakfast, we saw that several of the items I described and/or requested were missing on the table. Hair on the food is now a common blunder and as a result, my family and I were dissatisfied with our ihop experience. It was not quick or simple, and our specific requests were not fulfilled when it was supposed to. The one positive aspect of our ihop experience was that our waiter, Susan, went out of her way to assist us, despite our dissatisfaction with the service. We got sat down and it took a while to see a waitress. Then The guests behind us noticed a roach on the bench and informed us. Then what looked like the manager plus the store manager came over and inspected the booth behind us and told an employee to take the booth apart and clean it and in the process killed another roach. Didn't even try to inform us about it while both just walked away and didn't care about it one bit. We decided it was a good time to walk about before getting charged anything. I've gone twice. The first time was on a Saturday morning around 8:00 am. The server was a middle aged woman, and she was great! The food was ok. The second time was Thursday morning around 9:30. We walked in and there was a group of workers just standing around the hostess station. A girl finally seated us. We waited 10 minutes for anyone to ask if anyone had taken our order. The lady, (older) was being run ragged, while the same group was still standing up front talking. It was ridiculous! The food came, and it wasn't great. I Hop used to be one of my favorite places but not now. My granddaughter and I stopped in this one at about 2 pm. It was pretty much deserted. Only 3 people inside eating. We saw what appeared to be 3 waitresses. The first one that sat us did not seem to know anything about anything and left and brought another lady to our table. She gave us menus but did not seem to know if the drinks were refillable or what. It did not take long to get the food but no one ever came back to the table. We wanted refills but no one was around and my granddaughter went looking for someone. The service was horrible. They had 3 customers and still couldn't check on the table. When we finally left no one was at the register. We waited and waited. Finally, someone came and stood there and complained about customers leaving without paying. It was understandable as no one was around. One of the waitresses that took us to the table seemed sweet but was painted up like a circus clown with lip makeup and eye makeup that looked like she was going to a Halloween party not waiting on tables. I heard this place was bad now I know for sure. The one in Richmond, IN I used to go to was nice. I think I will skip IHOP from now on. If I could give no stars I would. We came here this morning and our food was cold and hard. The server was nice but the food was horrible. The manager kept pulling our server aside to do stuff for him and so our food was cold by the time we got our condiments and when we told the server the sandwich was hard and cold he just said sorry and didn't even try and give us a discount. I knew I should have checked reviews first. This ihop is still open, how? Not open at 6 when said. When opened, chairs still on tables. Looks like employees are still sitting in cars, way before 6, but don't care. Only 3 of us in here and it wouldn't surprise most to know, it still takes quite a min to get your food. I think this location is done. Other 2 people got half their stuff in 30 min and I only got half my order as well because they said they burnt the pancakes, what were they busy doing, with only 3 orders to deal with and the other 2 were small side orders. Then after I got my entire meal, 2 more people come in and sit down and then I see a cook come out to sit and eat. Guess they thought they had it under control. Must be nice to come in to work and start out with a break. More to say but doesn't matter, nothin will change. But I suggest y'all support a business that actually cares and steer clear of this place. The only plus, to this experience, out of sheer luck, someone paid for my meal. It was an unexpected miracle! This is one of the few places in the city of Dayton that you can eat at 24 hours a day. This establishment has taken the welfare of its patrons into consideration. Masks are required as well as social distancing, hand sanitizer is available booths are separated by plexiglass. Now let's talk about service. Most of the servers are good, but I must make you aware of one by the name of Kendra. She is excellent, she checks back on her customers frequently making sure their dining experience is a good one. Her personality is that of sunshine on a cloudy day. Lol, wait thats a Temptations song. Anyways as a regular customer of hers may I suggest she get a raise or promotion, scratch the promotion. Phoned in an order for 1 waffle and sausage links on Sunday morning. They told me it would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived about 15 min. later. The order wasn't ready. A lady said she would check on it. I waited off to the side and she never returned. I asked another lady if she could check on it. She said she would. She didn't come back. After about 20 minutes waiting- the original waitress came to.me and said she was sorry - but she would ring me up. I paid 13 dollars for 1 waffle and a couple sausage links. No offer to take some off for my inconvenience. I waited another 5 minutes and FINALLY got my waffle. The waffle and sausage links were cold. DON'T GO TO THIS IHOP!!! Sadly I can't give zero stars, if I could I would! I ordered online for pickup and they didn't even give us all of our food. I asked for hash browns which I never received, I also asked to have toast instead of French toast that also didn't happen. However one thing the manager Robert did in fact do was give my information to the police for a falsely accused hit and run incident. So after we ate our wrong and sad looking orders from IHOP. My partner and I had the pleasure of clearing our names at the police station as neither of us had or have any affiliation with said vehicle in the report. We gave this one a second chance. In the news they say they wanted to have a better experience than previous IHOPs in the area, epic fail. Both times we were there waited 15 minutes and were ready to leave and a waitress from another area stepped up and took care of us. Last trip one of the silverware sets was dirty, this time a coffee cup had lipstick on it. On top of all of that each order was missing something it should have had based on the menu description, and none of it was really warm. My wifes waffle was not even warm enough to melt butter, and the bacon was undercooked. From now on we will stick with Bob Evans down the road. read more

Just want to make people aware, on the weekends they cut off their online ordering and do not let you call in an order either. They make you come in an order food to go. I feel this is really inconsiderate of them to do while their is a pandemic. People should have the option to pay online (and only online if it's a problem of loss for the company.) This is the only IHOP I know who runs like this and it didn't a few months ago so I'm not sure why they would make a change that could negatively effect how people feel about this particular location. God damn this place sucks. My boyfriend and I visited 4/18, and the hostess is doing her best but the management is awful. I believe they're short staffed on the front end but things were at a stand still while the hostess was being run back and forth between online orders, seating, and messaging people in the queue. We were sat at a table thats top literally spun, and when I asked to move to a booth a waitress refused to take us because she was oversat. Once again, bad management. The worst ihop experience ever! Was told 25 minute wait time and it turned into an hour! Pretty much forced our way to be seated... after being seated the people to our left, right and behind us got they're orders cold messed up and just nasty! They kept saying they got hit with a lot of online orders! The waiter was nice but the kitchen staff is a mess they either need to replace the kitchen staff or hire more help! From what I see if they can't handle a dining room half full during Covid restrictions it's gonna be a lot worse after they get a full dining room.
