Service sucks. The slowest customer service, took 45 minutes for them to ask about our drinks, took another 30 minutes to ask for our order and another hour for our food to be made. Please do us a favor do not come here if you have a life. But if you are looking to just hangout or chill then you can deal with this place customer service. I would like to give kudos to this establishment. Everyone knows they make great pancakes and other breakfast foods, but not everyone knows that they also make scrumptious salads and delicious lunch specials. I ate here on my birthday and was treated to a delicious meal for free! It's easy. Just join their birthday club. Try their blueberry pancakes or waffles with strawberries and whipped cream. Horrible service. Here's a little story of my experience there; my husband and I walk in, no greetings. We were confused if they were even open or not. Finally some guy comes up to us and sits us down after 10mins. He faves us menus, we looked over them and pretty much had an idea of what we wanted. He comes back and asks if we are ready, we say yes. So I start telling him the food I want and he cuts me off. He said (I kid you not) I need you to tell me drinks first then food later. ?????? Slow service. The "spicy Poblano" omelette was described as having "fire roasted Poblanos" and red peppers: I counted 2 little specs of red peppers, and about three little pieces of the Poblanos. It had a lot of Serrano peppers, but whoever likes spicy peppers will appreciate the big difference in flavors. I have gone to this IHOP at least 10 times (I love some IHOP) and have never had an issue. When you first arrive, I am always greeted and seated (unless you go on a weekend morning in which you may have to wait awhile) but other than that it is also a quick seating. Once seated, the waitresses are always courteous and attentive when you are ready to order our meal. I have tried several times from the menu but my only complaint is that the breakfast sausage taste as if it were boiled and then seared. That alone takes away a star but it's a great IHOP to go to and it even has a crappy mall it's made in. read more

My husband and I saw the special that's now running on the Burgers and decided to stop in a try it...we were seated and given regular menus and didn't see the special on them( not knowing that they had a special menu) our waitress her name was Miranda she was very pleasant and engaging. I asked her did they have the 6.99 special here on the Burgers with unlimited fries...she said "Yes we do but it's only on the regular burgers and you have to order a Pepsi product which there is no charge". I asked her which burger was the regular because all had something on them...she pointed to the regular Burger which had bacon on it...So we said OK we will have that...my husband ordered a Pepsi...I didn't want soda so I asked her what other product did Pepsi have she told me Lemonade...so that's what I ordered...after we finished eating and she brought the bill it was to my shock almost 25.00 with a 2.00 credit...She had the manager with her trying to explain that the burgers that SHE TOLD us were the SPECIAL burgers were not because they had Bacon on them...then the Manager told us she gave us a credit for the Lemonade because that was not apart of the special...then she proceeds to tell us it's on the menu...I told her to show us because it wasn't on the menu! Then she says "Do you want me to bring it to you? Or are you coming to the front? We got up and went to the front she shows us a "SPECIAL MENU" which we didn't receive when we were seated. I proceeded to tell her this was not our fault and we shouldn't have to pay for someone else's mistake...It doesn't matter if the waitress was new or not...the manager told us she couldn't give us a FREE burger because we had already eaten it....No one was asking for a free Burger all I was asking for was an adjustment of the bill...each burger turned out to be 10.25...not 6.99 and that was IHOP's fault! She say's I've already given you 2.00...and I told her that I would be writing a review and writing or calling Corp. Her attitude was " YEAH OK" ...not only does she not need to be the manager there...she needs not nowhere! First of all she needs more Customer Service training any good manager would have just adjusted the bill and said " sorry my waitress is new"...the waitress did all the apologizing and the manager just stood there and looked and repeated that she couldn't give us a free burger...Really?? For the record my husband and I are senior citizens and we don't have to play games to get free burgers....but right is right and we shouldn't have to pay for the NEW waitress mistake...I will never patronize your establishment again and I will tell all my friends in Ashburn not too to... until that Manager is replaced...It is too many Ihop's and Family Style restaurants in the area...I don't have to patronize the one in Ford City!!!! Not up to IHOP standards at all. First they didn't have regular sugar for our coffee(really? Needed to use Splenda) then it took 30 minutes to get our food and people at tables around us got there's first but sat and ordered after us. Then we canceled an item that wasn't brought out and when we get the bill it was still on there, we told the waitress and she discounted $2 and brought the bill back with the item still on there but with a discount. My wife had to go talk to the manager because how could you charge or discount something we didn't get at all. Spent 1 1/2 hours here which is way too long considering it was just 2 of us. Today was my first visit to this restaurant located near Midway airport. I am giving it one star because the service was bad and the staff was even worse, from management on down. If you are in a rush, this is not the place for you. A relative of mine ordered a basic breakfast. As you probably know, you can have a pancake or toast with your meal. Her pancake was not cooked properly. She requested wheat toast in place of her pancake. While waiting for the toast, her other food was getting cold. Overall, the food was not good. The staff was another story. Our waitress, Crystal, was efficient when we were initially seated, but when other guests were being seated in her area, she did not return afterwards to check to see if we needed anything else. The other guests were now her focus. Management was dealing with other complaints, slow service, refunds, etc. We also noticed another couple across from us who had not been served after being seated for at least 40 mins. At the front end as guests were entering the restaurant, the hostess was telling people it was a 20 min wait, when in fact, the wait to be seated was at least 35 mins., and the wait for your meal was another hour. So IHOP, not that I visit your locations on a regular, but the service here was terrible. Toast should not take 30 mins to prepare. #onestar read more

Well, first of all there is no air conditioning. Which is important since they keep their doors open to the outdoors which makes it really hot. Also there's lots of people inside which makes it even hotter. Second lots of families come here and the service is really slow sometimes even if there's a few people here. They usually try to cram people into small booths which does not help at all. They usually screw up your order even if it's something little like bacon instead of sausage. I had been there for a couple of times and the last time we were there was really awful first the waiter took a long time to take our order(there wasn't too much people). Second: our food arrived 45 mnts or so after they took our order there was a family who got served first even though we had seated before they came. And Third: When the waiter brought our food my plate looked like it was reheated why I say so because my steak was kind of dried and cold but the dish was real hot so you can tell they reheated in the microwave. What a terrible place to try and eat. I say try because the wait service doesn't give one care about seating anyone or waiting them once they are seated. Waited 10 minutes to get seated even though the place wasn't busy at all. Waited 20 minutes after seating to be ignored some more, watched others who came after us get served, then we decided to just leave. One waitress appeared to be having a meltdown of sorts, the remaining waiter and waitress appeared to not know what tables they had or would have, they would glance at our corner but not even attempt to come by. Everyone looked like they would rather have their eyes removed than be there. They all appeared to write orders down on busted up notebooks. People around us said they waited just as long only to be told half the menu is out of stock. The cups were so small that not even a toddler would be satisfied, and the drinks were nothing like the description, completely flavorless. Very awful service. Yesterday my family and i came in at around 3:30pm. It was very quiet and not busy at all. Our waiter Anthony had to be the mosy disrespectful person I've ever encountered. He comes over and looked very displeased with his job. He didnt even greet us. Just basically asked what we wanted. I order my children their food and then mine and my grandmothers. We asked for warm syrup and he became very sarcastic and said all of that will come out when your food does. He said it in such a nasty way. I left that alone. He came back with our food and handed us our hot hot plates which i felt was a lawsuit in itself. He didnt sit the plates down himself. And he was extremely careless. I let that go. Then he never came to check on us so my grandmother said to me, we didnt get any water. 10 min later he comes back with 1 glass of water. So my grandmother says, you must have read my mind about me wanting water (she's saying as she's laughing). He turned to look at her and says "naw it's my job" and walked away. Very very disrespectful so at this point im ready to pack up my family and leave because I've haf enough of him being blatantly rude. So i pay and we leave. Now i am no stranger to paying with credit card at places. This morning i see that my card was charged more than what my bill was. I called the restaurant and spoke to a manager and he tells me i need to take it up with my bank and hung up. I will never and i mean ever come here again. The waiter got my food order wrong. I asked for over easy eggs (she even repeated it) and received scrambled. Also, I asked for extra toast on the side and just received one order (my husband's). She didn't offer water, I had to ask for it. We didn't get any extra napkins besides the ones that hold the utensils. I didn't get any syrup for my pancakes until I had asked for it (just seems like common sense to me). As she grabbed our plates, she hit my daughter on the head and of course she starts crying (she is only one). She was very apologetic, though. Lastly, she charged us for two hot chocolates, when we just ordered one. Yes the food is good, but service was a disaster. It's safe to say we will not be going to this location again. Me and the wife headed out to ihop, the only place we could find open on Christmas day and we were dealing with on nasty hangover. we walked in at 2:43 pm, that's what the receipt says. Our waitress took our order but didn't see her for 40 minutes later. My food took 31 minutes to get to our table and it was cold. The butter on my pancakes didn't even melt. That was our first meal that day so when now one came by to ask, we just ate it. The manger the one who brought out our food by the way and he didn't really seem to care about the service. went this morning before the lunch hour with my husband we had had a very busy morning so we were hungry. it was a little busy but not so much that the staff they had could not handle it i had been there before in earlier years and they handled things pretty well. over time i have heard that they have slacked off on many things. today i had confirmation of what my friend have been saying. the service was almost non existent. it was cold as we went in and the hostess did not even make eye contact with us except when i said it was cold in there.. she kinda raised her eye brows at me as if to say "your joking". well she sat my husband and i in the corner and proceeded to walk back and forth doing who know what passed us up at least five times and saw we had no coffee or silverware. she looked square dead on at our table and then at us and kept her pacing back and forth..nobody came to ask if we had been taken care of..we sat there in disbelief for 15 minutes and finally called one of the servers who held up her finger as if to say "hold on!" and hurried off into the kitchen. she came back out and she too looked at us and nothing. sat there another 10 minutes waving at someone to tend to us and all we got was glances. my husband was now livid and we got up and proceeded to walk out. the hostess noticed this and looked at one server and shrugged like "oh well" .... :( . i think someone is either about to quit or is looking for a way to go collect unemployment because obviously they are not grateful that they actually have a job in this day and age! horrible horrible service! shame on this ihop! read more
