Went with a total of 8 in our party. Couple of weird things. A bunch of us ordered coffee. Server brought a small carafe of coffee for all of us. There were three random empty coffee carafes left on our table like nobody could figure out didn't belong on our table, as it's not a dumping ground. One thing I'll give out waitperson. She could see that there were clumsy folk around, so she brought us two stacks of napkins so that we can clean up any fallen stuff. Good call, waitperson. It meant that the coffee I spilled got cleaned up. Cool. This entire time, nobody was offered water. That's usually standard when you go to a restaurant, but I guess not here. Very weird. We asked for water eventually, which came out eventually. Food took an obscene amount of time, considering that all of us ordered the menu items as written with very few additions. When food came to the table, different people brought it to us, and had no clue where anything was meant to go. None of us moved positions. Figure it out. Also, some of us were missing items we had ordered. By the time we got the food, it had been such a long wait that we didn't want to keep waiting even longer, because we all had places to be that wasn't an ihop. Service was friendly enough, but really slow. That said, the wait for a table was not at all bad. Considering we were a fairly large group, coming in around 10-ish on a Sunday, they had our table surprisingly fast. I was duly impressed. New Ihop in California, MD its been a long time coming. The old IHOP was terrible finally a new one. If your looking for a good breakfast stop in. It just opened 3 days ago they are still working out some of the kink so give them a few times to get everything worked out, a lot of new servers and a few from over across the street from Cracker Barrel so you may know some servers if you eat out in the area. The restaurant is big will be great for large parties and groups, they also do catering big or small. If your looking for lunch or dinner they also serve a really good hamburger and steak tips that are very tender and they have a happy hour food menu with great prices. So stop in and give this new IHOP a try! read more

Do not order biscuits and gravy from a pancake restaurant. They don't know how to make biscuits. I think they used pancake batter. And really don't have a clue when it comes to breakfast gravy. Worst ever. Service ok. read more

Service was fine, table was clean, seating was almost immediately available. Food was HORRIBLE, in fact I don't remember when I've eaten anything that bad. My son got pancakes. How is it possible that IHOP got pancakes wrong? One tiny pat of butter for three VERY dry pancakes is not enough. He also wanted chicken tenders so I ordered the sampler appetizer to accommodate him. The "tenders" were dry, hard, and practically devoid of chicken. Honestly it was like the tenders you get at a fast food restaurant that have been laying around for hours. The onion rings - the onion pulled away from the batter and fell out which left a big string of onion hanging and the batter elsewhere. I ate one mozzarella stick which was cold and left the rest. Food was good. Service....took over 5 min to get a server to our table. There were only 8 other active tables but there were like 16 employees floating around walking back and forth and 2 managers. Part of our meal was missing...server forgot to go get the pancakes, another server noticed I was searching for someone and he went to get them made; never did get the pancakes after we sat another 12 minutes. The staff were loudly talking as they walked by in pairs. They had 5 people in 2 spots rolling silverware- usual past time of a server - not lots of active tables for the amount of staff. Good to see some place over staffed instead of under staffed. Would I go back, probably no in person. There were 2 servers that very attentive to their tables as well. read more

It's been awhile since I've been here and when we pulled in there was just one car in the lot. We initially thought they were closed, but since it was 4pm, we apparently bypassed the Sunday church crowd. Sunday mornings and early afternoons are usually busy at this iHop. Our server's name is Kaylah. Kaylah was friendly and attentive. She regularly checked in for beverage refills. My friend had the sirloin tips and eggs. I had the $6.00 Happy Hour BLT. I asked if I could have a salad instead of French fries and kitchen staff accompanied. It was a fresh salad with ranch dressing. I enjoyed it! I am highly pleased with my visit. You'll want to go to iHop during their Happy Hour for a good meal for only six bucks in a quiet afternoon setting. Think outside the box- iHop for a late lunch/early dinner! read more

Went there for valentines day, the food was delicious and filling! We had an amazing server Johnathan. He was politely and well mannered and he made sure to check up on our table timely! Some items I've noticed while being here have been unavailable or just not at time serving due to limited quantities. What they do have is always cooked fresh and fast not a long wait time and a overall enjoyable experience. Workers stay clean tables are always wiped especially with this now Covid world we live in, the workers here are on top of their game and only hope it stays that way (great places don't always stay great unless it's Chick-fil-A...). I wonder what will go in this location next. I know this IHOP won't last long. I had heard the service was bad, but we had some time to kill and wanted to try it so we went. The restaurant was very quiet and slow on a Sunday evening, only two or three tables filled. Two women working at the front didn't bother greeting us, just walked away. Then we stood there, and stood there, and stood there. Finally someone came up and we asked if they had enough staff working to accommodate our family of six. She said they didn't and that she was the manager and would wait on us herself. Then she said she would get a table ready for us, so we stood there, and stood there, and stood there. Finally we walked in a little to see if she was setting up a table or what was going on, but she was waiting on a table. Stood there a bit more.... And finally just left. So I went to IHOP today for lunch I thought the new restaurant would be a nice change initially I had a 20 minute wait at 11:50. The wait staff is very very nice however my order took forever. Well over 40 minutes for a grilled order, so I think the cook crew is understaffed. I ordered the jalapeno patty melt with onion rings, they came out pretty good hot crunchy. The patty melt came out ok, the meat was cooked well however the grilled onions never made it to the grill and we're crunchy raw not what you expect when you order a patty melt. I'll give him another chance later on not a total failure but could use improvement. read more

IHOP started out great. The first day was balloons and great enthusiasm . Now it's scowls and poor service. You have to wait 15-20 minutes for a seat. Then you wait for the server. They charged per drink for Iced Coffee which we again waited for. When we finally got our food, it was dried and not tasty. I know that COVID has caused staffing shortages and such, but our experience was ridiculous. We were seated promptly and our server got our beverages and took our order right away. Then we sat. And we sat. And we sat. After about half an hour, the server came back with a drink refill and said our food would be right out. And we sat. And a customer at another table who came in after us got her food - at that point, we asked for the manager. One order and one side came out after we'd been there over 40 minutes. Then a few minutes later, the second order came out. The food was OK - nothing special. The manager did comp us part of our bill. I don't know if the issue was the server or the kitchen - we didn't get any explanation, but the server did look rather frazzled. No matter. We'll not be returning. I really wanted to like the newly opened iHop. I like my pancakes. I went there three different times and the results were the same. The pancakes were barely warm (the butter wouldn't melt) and they were so hard, I could've used them as a frisbee. Was seated quick but then watched another table seated 5 mins after us. A waiter got their order while we just sat. The other table had received their food and we still never even had a server check with us or anything. After 25 mins we got up and left. The service is awful. So took my money to Bob Evens and spent 88 dollars there. They dont want our money it is good at other places. read more

Jonathan and his service is the main reason for this review. Ask for him if you go to this IHop. Went with a friend a couple of days ago for a mid-afternoon meal. Jonathan greeted us, asked our seating preference and took very good care of us. He was attentive without being intrusive. He kept himself busy folding napkins one minute, sweeping the floor the next and he never passed a table without making sure all was good with customers. We gabbed alot so it took is a while to order. I did note that the menu is a lot smaller, but isn't that the case everywhere today? We finally ordered with our particulars/preferences noted. When Jonathan brought our food, he didn't just sit down the plates and leave. He noted each of our requests (how we wanted eggs, no powdered sugar on french toast, etc). After we paid our bills, he thanked us for coming to IHop and when he brought back the receipts he had written a big "thank you" and put a smiley face written on the receipt. He is such a nice young man. We will come back again. If you go ask for him. And please if you can give a nice, hardworking young man with hopes and plans a nice tip! read more

I called my order in & I get it they are just re-opening but placing a phone order was difficult. They said 20 minutes which is standard. Once I got to the store 25 minutes after placing my order. I went to the front desk that had a lot of activity but they probably could have used that activity to ensure orders were coming through. I ordered a breakfast sampler that had only Turkey sausage as a meat product. When I inquired about my order they first had to argue about who would check with the kitchen. Then said the kitchen was backed up. I asked so your kitchen is an hour backed up & they said yes. I was so excited to not have to drive to Prince Frederick anymore but I guess I will be taking that drive. I waited for an hour from the time I placed my order which was 40 minutes pass the the time they said the order would be ready. It may not have been their fault maybe a cook called out but I simply requested a refund & no IHOP today there are plenty of food options out here read more
