Joy and Dave Chapelle were a pleasure to work with. I came here late night because it was one of the only restaurants open and I received great service. Joy was an absolute pleasure to work with, and there was a cook that stepped outside during his lunch break, but went immediately back to cook as soon as I came in during his break, which was absolutely amazing. I didn't get his name, but he looked exactly like Dave Chappelle so I'm gonna call him Dave Chappelle. After reading the mostly negative reviews of this location I almost didn't go but I'm glad I did. I ordered carryout at the request of my granddaughter and we enjoyed our meal immensely. She had the confetti pancakes with bacon and I had the pancakes, scrambled eggs and corn beef hash platter. The food was fresh and delicious. The restaurant was clean and well run and the attitude of the young people working there was professional and accommodating. I'll definitely be back to dine in next time. From the moment we sat down, Shante made our brief dining experience truly delightful. Referring to us as "King and Queen," she anticipated our needs perfectly, bringing extra napkins and refilling our creamer before we even had to ask. Her attention to detail and warm hospitality brought back memories of my first job at IHOP in Bowie in 1997. Shante exemplifies what great service should be. I'm in Upper Marlboro I had so much hope for this place The first time that I went, I didn't write a review The service from start to end was horrible sooooo... I went back a week later on a weekday hoping for a better outcome I was seated immediately (nice) My order was taken promptly (nice) My food looked yummy (yay) I received all of the condiments that I asked for (yay) My eggs were cooked just how I requested-hard with cheddar cheese (yay) As I'm taking a picture, I realize that there IS A HAIR IN MY EGGS (yikes) She tells the chef, and he makes me more eggs but they aren't cooked like the first ones (boo) I ask where my hash browns are and she says she'll check and comes back and says that the chef said that my order doesn't come with hash browns BUT he made them for me (and added to my bill) I get my bill and ask for a menu because I NEED to make sure that I wasn't misreading what I ordered and sure enough HASH BROWNS were supposed to come with my order!!! So she took off the side of hash browns that she added I'm thinking that I might not be back to this location I was annoyed I was even more annoyed that my food had a foreign object in it and no one seemed to matter. The young man sat me and my grandson at at table in the back near the window , which had ants moved to another table next to window that table had ants also. We decided to move away from windows. We are new to the area (almost a year). We have gone to many businesses and our youth are the staff. This one has the most respectable youngsters. We have had to deal with waits (it's post-shutdown during a pandemic). During those times, my hubby and I walk across the street and shop at Walmart-the lines in there should have you back in time. It switches over to DOORDASH (and that's where it seems to go bad-I was told it was a system issue). Let me explain. I received my order email and the DoorDashers info was available. I received a call on time and was told the food was delivered. We came down ready to feast! But wait, there was no food! Our food wasn't on our door nor any of our neighbors (head scratch). I called DOORDASH and I got hubby on IHOP!!! Long story short: DD:LONG HOLDS...I had to get a lil irate/hangry on my birthday morn...ooops afternoon at this point. Only to hear the dasher has it. The system told him it was delivered and he kept it because he couldn't see the address (after telling me it was delivered). IHOP: will call DD & call us back. Hubby clld them back. He relayed DD's position-because we ordered on IHOP's website they are responsible. Did they take responsibility?! YES!!!! Visited your establishment on Saturday morning with my son and my mother for a little breakfast before we started our day. We were told it would be a 15 minute wait and that was fine with us. Until 15 mins turned into an almost 30 min wait. Then the young lady took a group of people whom walked in long after the 2 people before us were sat. We waited another 5 mins then she sat us. We waited another 10mins for our server to come and take our drink order so we ordered our food at the same time as we had enough time to look over the menu. No one asked us if we needed a high chair or anything which is crazy seeing how we had a baby with us and the car seat would not fit in the booth we were sat at. So 10 more mins past by and our food arrived only to find that the order was incorrect and we had to wait for them to fix that. We ate our food and at no time did the server come back over the entire time we were there to check and see how the food was and if everything was alright or if we needed a refill on our drinks. Very slow service for a newly opened restaurant. We then had to call for someone else to get the server just to bring us our check so we could pay and be on our way with our day. With all of the waiting and lack of care and service I did not tip the server. Tips are earned not just given and as a former server I took pride in making sure my guest were happy with there food and I made it a mission to keep checking on them until they were done. I hope that the management of this establishment fixes this type of behavior otherwise this restaurant will not be open for very long. The food was excellent but the service very poor. read more

The food was good but that did not pay close attention to the order. I ordered the thick and fluffy strawberry and banana french toast and they did not give the strawberries or bananas. Also I only got one piece of french toast. Next, I put in the instructions to burn the sausage and they did not. Also they didn't cook my eggs well. the yolk was too runny.
