ants everywhere, if you are an anteater then i couldn't recommend this place more

calling all anteaters and spiders if you are hungry this place is an all you can eat any buffet!! i, a human do not find this very pleasing or appetizing at all. dirty dining room, food was less than mediocre, and servers/hosts are not very good at their jobs.

    Classic burrito with avocados.

I really enjoyed eating here this morning. The staff was very polite and met our every need. Our drinks were out immediately and food was to the table within 7 minutes. The food was delicious. The manager definitely sets the tone and gives her staff her expectations. I'd definitely come again.

The place was empty, but the leftover food was left at lots of tables

I use to come here in my younger days, we should have know better when we saw a total of 3 cars in the parking lot at noon, during Mother's Day weekend. The host sat us almost immediately and was very friendly. Everyone seemed to be working hard but there was food settings leftover at at least 7 tables with only one party remaining. After reading some of the review of 75 minutes for a burger, we decided it wasn't worth the gamble.

They staff was wonderful and accommodating! I sang Christmas Carol's with the waitress as she brought me out my holiday hot chocolate and was rewarded with an awesome ornament from Jorge!

This IHOP's reputation for mediocre service is well-earned. Add to that the bucket for the leaky roof that somehow never gets fixed and you have an experience that indicates's the company's undercover inspectors never come here. Edit to add: We finally gave up and walked out stopping at the register to pay for our two drinks. The host woman apologized and said something about only one cook on duty. Maybe we would have had some sympathy if our server had checked back with us a few times to explain the situation. But we never saw him again after he brought the two soft drinks. If he had, we would have told him that one of the drinks was defective. Instead my friend flagged down the host who said she would check on it. But she never returned. So while waiting for our change (this place is pay-server so we had to wait for him to bring out our change) my friend inquired about the drink. Host said she'd fixed it. Yet she never brought out a replacement. Frankly she should have comped us on the drinks especially knowing full well that one was defective. These are two incompetents that don't need to be working there. Also, just for the record when we bailed another couple behind us did the same thing, waiting behind us to pay for their drinks. And why is the place so bitterly cold? I'd avoid it for that reason alone. This visit took place early evening on 8/9/19. I've added a photo of the rain bucket. It was there a month earlier. They don't want to pay to fix the roof? Incredible.

Traveled to Illinois and since we are I hop lovers,we couldn't miss to visit one here! GPS guided us to this location, we are all amazed by the great service! All we can say omelet should have some chopped serranos for a Mexican like me lol...yes yes we did ask to add some!if we ever come back we surely stop by again!

So sorry to give this review, we can in around 2:30 on Saturday (10/20/18). The hash browns had to of been left over from the morning, the were almost clear then crispy, no flavor and too much crunch just like a potato chip. Certainly not what a hash brown should be like. We ordered our eggs over medium because we don't like the white to be running out in the plate when we cut into the. The yolks were hard and the whites had a lace crystal sheen as if cooked at too high of heat quickly although to long because the yolks were hard, all 4 of them. I sat through the second half of the meal with nothing to drink yet 3 different servers and a manager walked by but couldn't ask if I needed a refill even though it was out on the edge of the table. Not a friendly place. Plus side the chocolate mousse pancakes were very good.

For place called international house of pancakes, I found their pancakes lacking. I had a split decision breakfast so I can sample both their pancakes and French toast. I gotta say that everything I ate was below average. However, the service was friendly enough.

Pancakes, mixed fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, coffee

More okay food for okay prices, though this location has really declined over the years in my opinion. A clearly overworked staff and the place is crumbling apart from the inside, not to mention the food has gotten much, much worse. Chicken and waffles used to be very good but the most recent time I had them they were both burnt to a near crisp. Pancakes are always good, but hash browns are saturated in butter and sausages are never good. Eggs are consistently meh, but if you're going there for pancakes you really can't go wrong. Everything else you can do *much* better.

I ordered the bacon chicken sandwich to go but it looked so delicious that I decided to dine in. I had a great overall expierence. The staff was very friendly and fast and the food tasted awesome!

    This bugs me.

No trouble getting a table but the bar area was pretty full. Our server was fast and professional. She nailed everyone's drink and food orders with no issues. Food came out fast and hot as well. Tough to do with 10 people at a table. I ordered the Honey Glazed chicken. It was pretty good but the chicken had a few chewy spots. Flavor was great though. The glaze was sweet but not overpowering. 2nd night I ordered the Parmesan chicken. That chicken was great but o didn't care for the pasta it was served on. Flavor was good but just not my thing. Service was great both nights. Pricing is fair as well. Recommend if you're in the area and looking for something different than your typical nationwide chain.

Service was slow -- to non existent -- at best. We ordered two saganashkees that were bland, with little to no crust. The server said he has never served two at once before, so I guess we loose. I ordered the Poke. It too was bland and some of the tuna was hard!! Yes, hard!! The serving included a dollop of guacamole that had no business on the plate, in my opinion. Chunks of avocado, that I thought I was getting, fine, but not a traditional guacamole. Not good. Three of the four persons at our table ordered burgers and were all equally disappointing. It seemed like the burgers were diced up like it we to get used like in chili. But then, there tried to make a hamburger out of it!! Really weird. The taste was good, but unmanageable as a hamburger. One of the persons at our table ordered a shrimp appetizer. He said it was "ok". This restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is quite comfortable and the beer is okay. But, that's all it has going for it. Our previous visit a few years ago was much more enjoyable. We see no reason to return.

A big time popular place in the summer around here. It's a classic but it still gets quite a few people, and there's usually a line. The food is pretty much simple and there's nothing really special. It's about $3 for a pretzel, including a side of cheese. Slightly better than those boxed frozen ones. Most of the draw is the hot dogs. These are basic looking, and can come with their signature chili sauce. Also ice cream. They have the required root beer floats. Burgers are another of the eats. The stuff usually comes out pretty fast, which is great for how busy it can get. Have the best experience here in the summer when it's warmer and you can sit on the outside tables and eat the nostalgic food. It's pretty good prices for what they have. This isn't great, but it's pretty okay for around here though.

In the years since its demise, the building has housed several restaurants. Perhaps the most notorious replacement was Piggies(or something like that name). The owner in the 1980's painted the building pink as an act of defiance against the village. Later, the owner took it one step further and set fire to the building to gather Insurance proceeds. He was convicted of arson in local circuit court. Well, as I said, a few months ago, I decided to try the new restaurant occupying this classic downtown space on Broadway. I was relatively optimistic as I entered the restaurant with a friend. We selected a booth with an excellent view of the then operating dry cleaner across the street. I chose as my meal a basic breakfast staple: French toast... So, nothing fancy, like Eggs Benedict. When my French toast arrived, at first, I thought the waitress had brought the plate to the wrong table, because I did not really recognize the food on my plate as French toast. Well, when questioned, the waitress admitted that the plate she brought to my table was in fact the order I had placed. So, I settled in and began to eat the food on my plate. It resembled in some ways French toast, I suppose. But, in critical ways, related to texture and taste what I tried to eat was not French toast. Rather, it was somebody's idea of a concoction that built upon the concept of French toast. Perhaps that was a good artistic idea, but it did not satisfy my need for French toast. I have not been back.
