Drinks were refilled quickly, rolls were brought out before being asked, and everything that we asked for in special, like remove this or that or add this, was met! Good, the food was good. I rarely leave less than 4-star reviews but it's unfortunate I have to. I feel it wasn't the servers but the management and training. We had 7 people to arrive after 9pm; The host tried to sit seven fully grown people at one table. We explained we wouldn't fit and asked to sit in another area of the restaurant where others were seated. We were told there wasn't a server over there. Question, can the server for the tight table walk over to the open area. Then we were told the area was already cleaned. To me, that was great news however we learned that they couldn't clean the space a second time. So by the time we walked back to the tight space the bar space open were we could all sit comfortablely and talk to one another. Unfortunately, I sure the bar staff wasn't prepared to be a server after she had cleared the bar. I would have thought the tight spot server would have assisted the bar server. Needless to say, it wasn't a great experience. She took one round of drinks and she didn't refill. She was upset, we were upset. Good Ribs Good Company, Good service on a beautiful Saturday. Texas Roadhouse was a pretty decent place for lunch and drinks. Ordered the full slab of ribs with gravy mashed and broccoli. Drinks were the sangria margaritas frozen. And of course it was delicious. Even the Food was more tasty. Ribs fell off the bone. Early afternoon wasn't too crowded and music was just right. Ambiance in my humble opinion is decent. My fiancée and my mother and I decided to try this steak house. We ordered drinks and our waitress kept disappearing on us. She said that they were short handed. I get it. But twice we had to ask a hostess or another waitress where our waitress went! One time they said that they cant find her. HUH? Then the food came. I ordered steak of course. It was subpar at best. I mean, it was fatty and very thin for the price. I felt like it was rushed. We all agreed to never patronize another Texas Roadhouse again. The good, its food you dont have to cook and clean up after. The bad, well, let's start with the crowds. Its a good sign that the place is busy but who wants to wait an hour for food? So I usually opt for the bar. Not great but if youre hungry and want to eat dinner before tomorrow's breakfast, you compromise. Then there's the over abundance of salt. In EVERYTHING. The rolls are perfect. The rest of the meal is so salty that you waddle out of the place swimming in your own skin with cankles that take 3 days to go away. Im not a silly, elderly person but the cankles are just too much. I get that they like so many other restaurants do, add excess salt to boost alcohol sales. But there are those of us who dont drink so we end up drinking so much water that we are full before the salad is gone. Then, and this is what got me...I ordered a nice steak. My favorite cut, Ribeye, that i usually enjoy medium rare. Well, this one arrived cold, nearly raw and was mostly grissle. There was more of that than edible meat and when the manager walked around to see how ppl were enjoying their meal, he even said, wow, that's harsh! He offered a new steak but by this time, I was heated enough to reject it and since I was swelling from the salt in the sides, salad, rolls and water, I was ready to check myself into an emergency room for a dose of Lasix. OH, and then there is the never ending screaming happy birthday and yee haas while youre trying to eat. Those of us who work in the streets of chicago can live without the sudden violent screaming while trying to eat. Now, this last thing happened every time I went there (but one forgets when one is hungry) and since it happened to everyone I was there with at my table, its a real thing. That's the aftermath of this saltblock meal. It caused an everything must go sale in the intestinal department. So for the next 8 to 10 hours, our bodies purged the salt and other mystery bacteria. Host Maya, who refers to herself as a manager, is rude and has poor customer service. We arrived at Texas Roadhouse @ 6:50pm on 05/18/2025. We were told that we had an hour and 1/2 wait for a party of 9. Then, Maya made a face and stated it would be a 2hr wait instead. We then decided it would be best to break up our party, and we alerted Maya of that. We joined the online waitlist and split up our party online, and we were given a 15-25 minute wait time. After 40 minutes of waiting, we proceeded to check our time remaining, and Maya stated we would have to wait until 8:05. At 7:40pm we proceeded to check in on wait time again as we saw several big parties walking in and being seated. Maya then said we would not be seated until 8:30pm. When we followed up on our online waitlist reservation, we were told they had automatically canceled them. At 8:15pm, when we noticed the lobby was empty and we were the only customers waiting; we proceeded to the check in counter again. Maya was extremely rude, and stated "we will sit you as soon as we can." We then proceeded to ask for a manager, and she stated she was. I asked to speak to another manager because, at this point, we believed Maya deliberately made our party wait. All hostesses at the counter continued to look in our direction, and laugh. They were walking around the restaurant gossiping to other employees, who all proceeded to stare in our direction. Destiny, the floor manager, then walked over to help diffuse the situation. By this time all the staff throughout the restaurant were staring in our direction, continuing to laugh about the situation - acting with a complete lack of sympathy for the fact that my family had been waiting for nearly two hours to be seated. This was very poor customer service even after I explained that my husband and elderly mother were diabetic and I was concerned about them having a to wait too long to eat. I have never witnessed such poor customer service. Maya should not be the first person customers see when they arrive at this Texas Roadhouse location. Texas Roadhouse should represent themselves better. We are from California & Iowa and have never experienced this issue at Texas Roadhouse. We felt a sense of discrimination, as we were Hispanics. Because we feared what could potentially be done as an aftermath of us complaining to the manager, Destiny, we decided it would be best to leave after waiting for nearly two hours. Food: I had the full rack of ribs, baked potato and the corn. The ribs were as advertised, fall off the bone, meaty, covered in their bbq sauce. The potato was huge. We were trying to leave the Chicago area the Tuesday before Thanksgiving to head down to New Orleans. It was pouring and traffic was more insane than usual. After several hours we need to stop and decompress. We chose this Texas Roadhouse and were thoroughly impressed by the staff - everyone was so friendly. We were quickly seated in the bar area and our waitress was so sweet. We ordered two beers and a lovely salmon dinner. The food was perfect and reasonably priced. Very hostile staff, food was cold and not my made to my request which I reported to the manager and he scoffed and told me "Well my staff said the opposite so I'd rather side with them." After I showed my obviously overcooked steak. After that he was very passive aggressive for the rest of my dinner. Also while eating I noticed movement under my table and seen a mouse run away under the seats and that was where I had to get the check. While on my way out the staff was giving me hostile looks. I really wish this establishment gets looked into by some higher ups, because everyone from the hosts to the manager were very unprofessional. I would not recommend this place. My wife was craving a country fried steak and was told they did not have the batter to make the item because the warehouse where they get their batter caught on fire. So my son wanted chicken tenders and same think. I guess they use the same batter to make the chicken tenders. So they were both forced to order something they weren't really craving. I had started with a bowl of Chilli and it wasn't bad at all. I then ordered their pulled pork plate and it just tasted horrible. The pork lacked flavor and was extremely dry. Some parts weren't even chewable. My wife had ordered strawberry lemonade hoping to get real strawberries we ended up getting the nasty tasting syrup. We were then later told that they had ran out of lemonade and were told to order something else as a refill. I don't know much about running a restaurant business but you would assume that if there were a lot of menu items that required batter or whatever it may be and you had some decent chefs in your kitchen, that you would got the owners approval or corporates to make some of your own batter to satisfy the customers. I do however have experience in inventory management and feel like maybe some key items were replenished properly due to poor inventory management. We were unfortunately charged for the drink, even though they Had ran out of we had initially ordered and weren't really offered anything. We will definitely not be coming back here. read more

I'm visiting from out of town and wanted to treat my sister and her family to a nice dinner since they have been hosting me. All of the side dishes were positively delicious . We ordered steaks --ribeye and a couple of NY strip steaks. None of the steaks were cooked as ordered and besides that, overall the steaks were a huge disappointment. They very very tough and even hard to cut. Even the Ribeye which is good almost anywhere you order it was really terrible. It was embarrassing as I watched my family have difficulty trying to politely eat their steaks. The food wasn't finished and was wasted. Even the rolls were tough, almost as if they had been microwaved. Worst experience I've had at a Texas Roadhouse. The customer service was excellent and polite . My uncle went there yesterday a restaurant that he frequently visits and spoke an employee named Tara who stated because he is disabled and asked that the cook cut his steak as they always do for hm he was then refused service and told to leave unless he has another able bodied person with him that he is not welcome and refused service complete and total discrimination all because he asked for his steak to be cut before brought to his table I'm sad to see that he was openly treated so poorly. He is a hemiplegic so he only has use of one side of his body arm and leg . Horrible service, I was there for almost 2 hours and at first, it was great but when the food came they had messed it up. We had a burger that was supposed to be extra well done but they ended up making it Medium-well and then when we asked them if they could bring it back and cook it a little longer they said that they would take it off our bill but then when the bill came they had only taken half of the price of the burger off. The only thing that was technical thing good was the ambiance. Also what happened is the table next to us when we where about to leave we saw that they were making the table longer and then saw that they put a chair in a place and behind that was a coat hook and that means that was a safety hazard. I went here on Monday President's day with my youngest grandson. We had an exceptional dinner. We ordered the onion blossom for an appetizer (ordered it well done) it was cooked perfect. Best I have ever had. Then we ordered steaks and sides. They were also cooked to perfection. My grandson also bragged about the green beans with bacon, he said they were great. What a pleasure it was. I also want to give a shout out to our waitress Alexis she made our dinner that much more enjoyable. She was personable, polite and knowledgeable of there products and she was on top of everything. Like I stated we couldn't have had a better time. The BBQ Chicken was OK. The ribs had a strange texture and not a lot of flavor. The green beans were awful and the mashed potatoes were not much better. It's our go to place when we have some time to kill before evenings we have to spend in town. We've only had to wait for a table once, but it wad less than an half hour. The service is great, possibly the best in the area. They have plenty of menu selections and are very happy to accommodate special diets. Why do you go to a place known for streaks in the first place? To order a medium steak and get it pink and juicy in the middle (not barely pink and dry --that's medium well). My partner's steak ordered medium well was well done and dry as a bone.
