While our waitress was attentive, I could tell she was new. There were 4 paying adults in our party and 4 kids. When I asked about the kids eat free with a full paying adult entree, I was told that yes but they could only order 1 type of item. I showed her the menu and the promotion and she said ok (one kid wanted pancakes, 1 wanted a burger etc). So about 45 mins goes by and the food comes out slowly but surely and of course none of it was hot so you could tell it was sitting out. I always advise the waiters to please bring the kids food out first so they can eat because after a beach day, they were cranky and hungry. Long story short she bought 2 kids meals out and all that was on their plate was a cheeseburger. I asked her where the sides were because an entree is a whole meal and she said the manager said the kids cheeseburger entree doesn't come with anything but the burger. We come to OCM once a month every year from March till Oct and have frequented this IHOP before and this has never been the case. Ashamed to say we will not be back. And I forgot about the flies. Yes 6 flies kept frequenting our table. If you can find another place to eat, do so. read more

Most people aren't strangers to ihop and it's unique taste especially the pancakes. George and I eat at an iHop at least twice a month. With that being said this new location can use some improvement. All areas seem to be a bit unorganized. I only saw two or three servers for Tuesday lunch, however I witnessed a manager tell an applicant that only PT hostess positions were available. When our food was delivered our server changed and then changed back when it was time for the bill. It may be my fault for having a complicated order, but the kitchen put cheese on my sliders that I requested to be left off. I would've just taken the cheese off and kept it moving ( because I was THAT hungry) but the cheese was melted into the pancake sliders ( ugh, ew) so I had to send it back to be corrected. Hungry. The #1 disappointment was the regular pancakes. IHOP pancakes are large and fluffy. The pancakes we were served were thin small and dry. I'm used to getting pancakes the size of the large plate. Please see photo of my pancake on a large plate. Also I genuinely don't need more than just butter on my ihop pancakes because of how good they are on their own. Today I drowned it in syrup. I give this location 0 stars. Came from out of town and wanted to get breakfast with my family. We had a party of 3. When we originally came in the hostess stated it would be a 30 minute wait. We waited for over an hour and when asked when we would be seated they stated another 10 minutes. When going inside they had 6-7 empty tables but customers were still waiting. Customers were coming in for takeout orders they were prepared in 10 minutes. This is absolutely ridiculous and what seemed to be the manager was even worse. She was a plus sized African woman, short, with long wavy hair and a hoop nose ring. She seemed to have an attitude due to frustration but that is a part of management in the restaurant business as well she didn't apologize to any of the customers for the long wait or the inconvenience. I will NEVER come to this IHOP ever again!!!! You shouldn't have to wait a hour and thirty minutes to be seated at a table when you have 6-7 empty tables that are available. The manager was rude and unapologetic and the food wasn't even worth the wait!!! Unacceptable!!! Do better!!! As well once we were seated they seated us near the kitchen. Terrible service! Unfortunately we didn't make it to a table to be seated. We were told when we arrived that there would be a table ready in 5-10 minutes. There were 10 vacant tables when we arrived. Fifteen minutes later, there were 14 empty tables and we were still not seated. The hostess tried to be proactive and asked to have some tables cleared so we could be seated. Still, nothing. I'm no stranger to IHOP. I get their over 55 breakfast menu quite often but this particular store was the most disorganized one I have been to in quite a while. I don't know if it's because we went on Veteran's Day or if they are still new but we waited an awfully long time for our breakfast order (over an hour). Our waffles and pancakes came out look warm, which is more likely our servers fault than the kitchen. She never checked on us after taking our order until bringing the food. Worst breakfast experience ever! Sat at the table for 20 minutes before we even received our beverages. Food finally came out after half an hour, only one entrée arrived and it was ice cold. Eaten here several times since they opened. Good menu selection with no flexibility for substitution to account for customer's dietary needs. Service and food is inconsistent. It has been hit and miss from really good to just ok, but never bad. There is no pattern, it seems like most of the issues are related to staffing, training and stabilizing their workforce. I had to wait for 20 minutes which is normal for a table of 6 during covid times, however we waited and they put us at a table of 4 and 2, eventhough we have 6. We asked to move to a different table that could fit all of us and was more than 6 feet apart and they were rude and didnt even bother to let us move. Everyone seemed like they didnt want to work there and seemed pissed the whole time. There were flies everywhere. Our waiter was very nice. The hostess was very rude, he tried to call our waiter to do something right as he was about to take our order.
