    What delivery looks like
    Randy E.

I've been here once for late breakfast, once for take out and recently had delivery. The first time I was there was around 10AM. By that time the morning crowd has just about dissipated. Service and food were food, nothing spectacular, just your usual topnotch iHop. They didn't skimp on anything. My cupcake pancake looked better in real life than in the menu photo! On another day, I did my take out it was around lunchtime. I could feel they were busy so I decided to just pay for lunch and eat it at home. I ordered what I believe is an omelette and 3pc harvest grain and nut pancakes. Instead of telling me that the omelette comes with pancakes, they didn't. Minutes after I paid, I was told my choice of pancake was not available, would I like something else? I said whatever you have, thinking they would get me something closely priced. But they gave me their cheapest pancake, the buttermilk pancake. No complaints there but remember my omelette already had buttermilk pancakes. There I was on my way home with 6 buttermilk pancakes! Tonight I had delivery made and my tip is to check their facebook and other social media accounts of discount codes. I was able to get 20% off from my order. Food was delivered in time and it was a better experience. I indicated in my online order that I wanted the delivery guy to knock and leave the food by the door. Instructions were followed! Because of this positive delivery experience I will have delivery done again soon!

I recently traveled to Albany to visit a friend so she said let's have breakfast. we went to IHOP. I've seen the place on the end of the shopping plaza but never thought about actually going there for breakfast. The restaurant was not crowded yet that morning. That was a good thing. We were seated by the windows in the back which was cool. The only thing is it was freezing in there that morning however it prompted me to order some hot chocolate. The server brought us coffee and hot chocolate pretty quickly and we ordered. Bless her heart I don't remember her name but she was super attentive, pleasant and friendly. We ordered the Big Steak Omelette. It was so so good, and huge. So much food I definitely couldn't eat it all and I never really touched my hash browns because I was full. I never had to ask for more water or a re-fill. It was a great spot. No complaints. Restroom was also very clean.

One of the worst BLT's ever

This place is honestly pretty awful. I will just say that I received a BLT again that was very sub par. Let me tell you my expectations for a BLT: I like a sandwich with just the right amount of bread-to-filling ratio. Bread is possibly one of the most important parts simply because of texture. I like a lot of bacon. You just about can't give too much bacon, but you can surely give too little. You can also under cook or burn bacon -- which would be an issue with me. Finally, the tomato needs to be juicy and preferably even stacked over one another and going off the side. I want mayonnaise on both pieces of bread. The lettuce is the least important to me, but if you're going to have it I don't want it to be overpowering. I don't mind it for a little crunch and texture. IHOP clearly has philosophical differences on BLT's with me. The extra piece of bread on the sandwich just makes it even more dry. It had such a small SLICE of tomato on it that I thought it had none this time around. I have received one without a tomato at all before here and the lady thought that it was acceptable for some reason. This time I pointed out that I did not really receive much tomato for a BLT, so she brought me two more that were not very appetizing and charged me a dollar (and did not advise me of this). These tomatoes are probably kept in the fridge. They are not juicy. They aren't even flavorful. The toast is super dry. The sandwich just sucked. The rest of the food was equally bad.

There were a couple of people at the bar, others leaving, and one other seated party. So it wasn't packed on arrival, but once we were seated others began to arrive. The dining room isn't very big, it's quaint. Low lighting, white table cloth, candle lit, date night ambiance. Love it! Music playing: R&B jazz instrumentals; a little on the loud side, but not a deal breaker. There was no live music while we were there, but they do offer that on certain days. There is one unisex restroom, It appeared clean and nicely decorated, as was the rest of the restaurant. This place specializes in Charcuterie, meats, cheeses, wine, etc. But we were simply on the hunt for the best steak in Albany. Our server Hannah, was excellent! I hope she's there when I go back. She, and the rest of the staff were all perfect; a breath of fresh air in this customer service drought of a town. Hannah explained the menu, specials, what they offer on certain days, and everything else we wanted to know. She checked on us often, and we wanted for nothing. My husband and I don't drink, so we got a couple bottles of sparkling water and a soda. (This day they offered Pepsi products) For starters we had the Korean Duck Tacos and Bruschetta Al Pomodoro. The sauce on the tacos was a lot sweeter than I expected, but still delicious. Perfect tender meat, and choice toppings. The Bruschetta, was pretty good. But not anything I'd just HAVE to order again. My husband got a Medium Well Ribeye, collards, and creamed potatoes. He said the steak was a HIT:tender and flavorful. No complaints. He enjoyed the collards, and potatoes, as well. I had Lemon Herb half Chicken, Broccoli, and Creamed potatoes. The chicken, and lemon sauce were AMAZING! The chicken seemed brined, baked low and slow, so good. The broccoli tasted steamed and seasoned nicely. I'm not a fan of the potatoes. While they had great flavor, even without the lemon sauce; it was the texture. They were too loose. I prefer a thicker creamed/mashed potato. This establishment gets five stars, because customer service was exceptional, they go out of their way to give you a fine dining experience, and the food was overall fantastic! If you're in the area and in the mood for Charcuterie, or on the hunt for the best steak in Albany like we were: Come here! I do believe you won't be disappointed:)

The restaurant is very cozy with dim lighting and soft music playing in the background. This was our third visit to this restaurant and each time we have enjoyed a delicious meal. We chose stuffed mushrooms as our appetizer along with two robust cocktails. They offer an extensive wine selection as well as a full bar. For our entrees we enjoyed a very tasty stuffed shrimp linguini and an interesting salmon Wellington with garlic mashed potatoes and green beans. Both portions were plenty for us to thoroughly enjoy! No room for desert this trip; next time we must plan our dinner meal just a little bit better. I'm sure that we'll arrange another stop over (and delightful meal) in Albany the next time we venture out into Georgia!
