I am super impressed with the service. Although my IPad was not charging, they did everything including checking the battery ports and installing a new battery...still it was beyond repair. Fixed my water damaged phone! Took it to the Apple Store first. They said they couldn't do anything because the battery was showing water damage. Told me my phone was done for. Figured I'd try a phone repair shop and IDoctor was the right choice. Took it in he thought it would be 100$. These guys are quick and reasonably priced. I've brought several iPhones there for various fixes from cracked screen to replacing a battery. They've unlocked my iPhone's when I was going from AT&T to T-Mobile before they were buying contracts which saved me hundreds of dollars initially. I recently cracked my iPhone 6 Plus screen and they were honest that the price is high but that's only because they still didn't have 6 Plus screens in stock (I had to have the top iPhone). So I had an iPhone 5 that I let a friend use that all of a sudden stopped working and I brought it to the Apple Store since I know it wasn't damaged. Apple wanted me to pay $279 for Out of Warranty charge. Which I would say was not a bad deal but... I asked Apple what the issue was and the Genius Bar guy said we can't really tell since it's easier to just troubleshoot and turn the "broken" phone in to the factory to be refurbished vs trying to isolate the issue. These guys are quick and friendly. They take walk-ins and do quick work 30 minutes to an hour. Also, the price to replace the screen isn't that bad. ($75 for an iPhone 4s) However, I am not impressed with the quality of the screen replacement. My original 4S screen lasted over three years with normal drops, falls and abuse. The replacement screen I received from them lasted one drop that was four days after I had it repaired. It was about a 2 foot fall from my couch to the rug and it split the screen from top to bottom. When I contacted them to see if they would cover it since it had been so recently replaced. I was offered a discount but declined because I did not want to sink another $60 into a three-year-old phone. Maybe this is just my bad luck or the universes way of telling me to upgrade my dinosaur of a phone. read more

I cracked the screen on my iPhone 7 while on vacation and went here upon my return to have my phone repaired locally. The young man working when I arrived yesterday assured me he would have my phone repaired in approximately 30 minutes. I left and when I returned about an hour later he was very frustrated and informed me that he damaged my home button function while changing the screen. He was able to provide a home button but explained to me the Touch ID function would never be able to be repaired. He gave me $20 off and said that was the best he could do. Please consider this and get some assurances up front so you are not stuck like I am having to manually enter your passcodes and passwords. read more

Had two screens replaced by these guys. They were fast and competitively priced. But each time the screen felt thin and "dinky." Both times the screen broke from a bump and not a significant drop. I finally took my phone somewhere else and learned the screen on my phone was an aftermarket, cheap screen which is why it was breaking so easily and felt flimsy. I then googled and learned this is typical for mobile repair stores to help increase margins. The screen from the other place feels and looks like a screen should feel and look and I feel like I'd been had by these folks. I paid less at the other place and got more. Won't go back to iDoctor for this reason. Buyer beware. read more

Wow. Not used to the level of service and care provided by iDoctor. My wife is in town for one day only and accidentally dropped her phone in the sink getting it slightly wet. Phone was acting up so took it in without an appointment expecting a hefty fee for assessment and repair. Staff there opened the phone and did a quick assessment. Realizing that she could not keep the phone there for a proper drying due to our timeline, and noting the phone was in very good shape, he dried the internal components with air, made sure all the connections were proper, put the phone back together and then advised us all should be well. Recommended eval when we get home to Michigan if not working proper. No CHARGES. We visit Charleston regularly for family and we will always think of iDoctor for all our future phone repair needs. I visited the Ashley Phosphate Road location today, and was very impressed with the young man, Justin, who helped me. I dropped my iPhone 6 in the pool on Friday, and promptly put it in rice for two days. When I turned it on yesterday, it looked like everything was fine except I could not make a call. Justin told me from the get go that there wasn't a lot of hope since it was a salt water pool, but I decided to have him do the initial check up. He called me several hours later to let me know that it can't be fixed. Although I had hoped for better news, I couldn't have asked for a kinder, more professional person to check it out. I will definitely go there again if need be, and will be referring any friends that are searching for electronic repairs. read more

Very unsatisfied. Went to fix after a crack in my 5c and paid $140 for a new screen. I figured the money was well spent and I would be satisfied with my purchase. The next month my screen cracked twice in the span of two weeks from normal use. No drops, but the screen seemed super flimsy and cracked not once, but twice. iDoctor replaced the screen he first two times, but when I brought it in again after it was cracked, (two days later after a fix) they wanted to charge me for a new screen. Im questioning the integrity of the replacement screens they use and whether they are of the same quality as an original apple screen. I would go somewhere less expensive if I needed a new screen. read more

I took my 5c in because the screen was shot from a drop and i paid 140 and was satisfied at first but the very next day IT CRACKED AGAIN. i brought it back in and they assumed i was lying about dropping it but fixed it anyway. About a month later, i put it on a table and the screen broke completely, the phone works just not the screen. Again, i took it in and they were going to charge me AGAIN even thought "if the screen goes out" is supposed to be under warrenty. I went to the one on Ashley phosphate rd in n Charleston and Justin was so nice, accommodating and did a phenomenal job fixing my iPhone. It could no longer charge and I couldn't hear incoming calls. It would've been way more if I did it the second cheapest way... going to Apple Store all the way downtown charleston to get the screen fixed (which didn't need fixing but one crack in the corner voided the insurance) and then afterwards bringing it back to the phone company in goose creek and getting it processed with the insurance. That would've been a long and inconvenient process, having to wait for them to send the phone back. He did it as a walk in, and I went home with it that same afternoon. I actually found out about this place because someone who worked at the phone company told me about him, so I knew it would be a reliable source.
