First, I called the number provided and nobody answered. No biggie, I left a message on the obvious Google Voice system, it's been 48 hours and I'm still waiting for that call to be answered so I'm guessing nobody monitors that number. After I called, I took the time to fill out a detailed "request a quote" form and provided exceptional information to the respondant to save them time and effort if possible. I did receive follow up message where I described my issue in depth, I provided my availability and my general location and was told that I would be notified of appointment availability. Long story short, 18 hours of silence from the company led me to take my vehicle to a local shop and get my vehicle serviced. Almost 48 hours after requesting a quote I STILL haven't been offered an appointment. I guess it's probably a good thing that I'm not stranded beside the road waiting, I'd probably be carjacked by now. Not saying the dude doesn't do good work, but you must need to be special to get respect of an appointment or at least enough courtesy to decline the work because you don't have time.

I don't usually write reviews, but the customer service I received at Newby's was so disturbing…read morethat I felt the need to advise other potential customers not to go here. Based on a referral from a neighbor, I took my VW in for a check engine light issue. After a diagnosis, my purge valve was replaced and I was advised that the car was repaired with a $900 charge for the valve replacement, an alignment, and a diagnostic fee. Within a few days of picking up my car, the engine light was back on and I returned to Newby's only to be told they couldn't diagnose the issue and I was referred to VW. If I had initially been told that Newby's did not have the capability to fully diagnose my car's issue, I would have taken it to VW and put the $900 I paid Newby's towards an accurate diagnosis and repair with VW. When I tried to discuss my dissatisfaction with Newby's owner, I was advised to come back and discuss after the VW was repaired. It took me two weeks to get in touch with the owner after several phone calls and messages. I tried to discuss the situation with the owner, Connelly, but he took no responsibility for the inaccurate diagnosis of my engine light and actually told me that they had advised me that they couldn't accurately diagnose the car during the initial service which was a complete fabrication. Why would I have left the car, it they couldn't accurately diagnose or competently repair it? The owner offered no resolution or accountability and hung up on our phone call. Don't make the same mistake I did. I realize dealerships are more expensive, but at least most stand behind their service with warranty's and offer videos and descriptions of the issues with your vehicle. My advice, find a different repair shop to go to if you care about quality work and good customer service.
