I was late , having already missed an appointment ( that's an hour of a business's income!) because of death in family . So here I am 10 minutes late for 2nd appt and preparing myself for a little attitude. Nothing could've been further from the truth. Lorraine, bless her heart, ended up having to work with me. This meant a lot of rearranging and rescheduling and figuring out what the best course of action would be for me. She not only rearranged 2 1/2 months worth of appointments. She also had enough time to do my Botox. Which, btw, didn't hurt didn't bruise didn't bleed - I barely knew she had started when she finished.She's like a miracle worker ; you know that one family member who really wants things to go your way while preventing you from going way over the top and embarrassing yourself. So after rearranging my schedule, injecting my Botox and giving me suggestions on how to attain realistic goals within the timeframe I had given them ( I have an important event in late March) AND not end up looking like the cat lady or platypus lips. Subtle was the operative word. Lorraine understood. We've set out on a course of action. No coercion, no manipulating me just to make a sale. Lorraine took all of me into consideration and I'm just ...I'm just... can't think of the words ...hmm ...delightfully excited, thrilled and feel safe. The rest of the staff at Ideal Image are equally nice and accommodating ; my bet is you can't go wrong. The facility in Newton is understated , soothing colors, most importantly Clean. Lost a customer today after 2 years of ripping me off. This place is EXTREMELY expensive and the staff has been very rude and unhelpful. They used the lowest setting laser on me without my knowledge and have charged me full price for every appointment even when they don't do the full area and yelled at me over the phone for being "non compliant." Bounced around with my appointments I finally get one I go in and they don't have me on the calendar after I drove an hour and a half in a storm to get there. They said they would fit me in. I followed all of the instructions but I really think she just worked too fast. It was like an oops when I left but then I woke up like this in the morning. I have felt so welcome at both of my appointments, both were made within the small window availability I had given them. The girls all remembered me from my first visit and made sure to take the time to ask how things had been between my appointments. DO NOT give them your money !!! They are quick to take payment upfront but won't give you an appointment and ghost you one you've signed the payment contract. On Mother's Day the staff was on top of me luring me into signing the contract. I signed a 5700 dollar contract. And now they don't want to give me not even the first appointment and they hang up on me when I call to try to schedule. They say that they won't give me an appointment because I purchased too many laser hair removal areas and they are not able to accommodate me. It is ironic because when the sales rep Leah Stafford sold me the package she never said anything about me buying too many areas. Now as a paying customer they say that the issue is that I bought too many areas ? Then why did they allow me to buy "too many areas".they keep asking me to book my areas of concern. If I start only with those areas when will I ever be done and get my money's worth ? I worked with Leah Stafford. Please call back in a week for the December schedule to open up. Me: When I called 2 weeks ago, you said nothing for Sep and October, and November is blocked off. Now I call back, you say nothing available next 50 days, and December / January is blocked off. How on earth am I able to book an appointment for a service I paid for almost a year ago? Receptionist: I can put you on the wait list. I can see if other clinics in other towns have availability. Me: I purchased the service for Newton because I live here. I'd be okay with something one month away, even two months away. But I am not even able to book an appointment because there's nothing available for next 60 days, and anything after 60 days are blocked off by the manager. Terrible. Terrible. I recommend using alternative companies. I used the Newton MA location and paid for an 1 year contract with appointments every 6-8 weeks for that one year, full body laser hair removal, for a cost of $5,500. First, the treatment itself: 3 of my 5 appointments were completed by new technicians on their first week on the job. One used the wrong setting, another was still training on how to use the equipment and practiced on my body. This conflicts with the advertisement of "highly trained professionals". Second, the scheduling: Ideal Image would not schedule my appointments within the 6-8 week window. They continually only offered 9-10 week windows (which means that instead of the 9 appointments I would receive at a 6 wk interval, I only receive 6 appointments). Additionally, on my 6th appointment was cancelled on an hour before my appointment due to technician being sick and bumped back another 4 weeks, which would put my appointment at 13 weeks since the last one. The front desk associate, Kayla, called the police when I came in anyways and demanded to be seen by a different technician at my scheduled appointment time. Tough to speak on effectiveness of laser removal package I bought 2 yrs ago yet haven't completed yet due to "provider issues". Essentially, after a few times this happened, I asked what that meant and they told me it was a staffing issue... meaning they can't keep a fixed reliable staff on schedule and depend on a rotation of "providers". I have had multiple confirmed appointments get cancelled due to "provider issues". I was flexible with their rescheduling offers on multiple occasions and even accepted to visit another location 40min away just so I could get it done, just to have that location also cancel on me last minute.. as in hours before the confirmed appointment. They cancelled my appointment 3x in a row, putting me out months beyond the "treatment window". I'm fed up and still probably have 3-4 prepaid treatments to go. They often weren't able to look ahead beyond 2 months in their schedule and always said to schedule through their app, which was also a joke. Months were always blocked off and nothing ever opened up. It should not be this difficult to book things, especially when they push the idea that you need to get in within 6-8 weeks of treatment for maximum effectiveness. What I really want to know is if their booking issues is affecting the quality and effectiveness of my treatment package, how will they compensate me?? I prepaid thousands for a package of multiple areas and would expect much better as a bare minimum. This was the worst experience! Ideal image constantly cancelled appointments due to staff personal emergencies and was unable to re-book appointments within the 6-8 week window we were to adhere to. I cannot honestly even give them one star but I was forced to choose a rating. HORRIFIC would describe my review the best. I don't even know where to begin with the experience we have had with Ideal Image. I purchased a very expensive laser hair removal package lifetime free maintenance etc. contract for my daughter-Ideals mission statement "to instill confidence, look and feel your best"......certainly is not what we have experienced. My daughters self esteem and confidence has been immensely shattered by her experience. I will attempt to share our story as simply as possible. We did have difficulty getting appointments near us-after I called and complained about this aspect, we were able to get some appointments at two different centers which are about 30 miles apart from each other. My daughter had 4 treatments at two diff. centers with diff. techs-with no issues. On her last visit, she felt the pain was far sharper and questioned the tech as to the setting, etc. The tech assured her all settings were the same as her previous treatment etc. It is important to note her that my daughter is a 3rd year nursing student and is very aware of pre/post laser care. She does not go in sun, use abrasive creams/etc. She follows the care protocol exactly to the T. Immediately after her visit, she phoned me from the train to tell me her legs were burning and this had never happened before. When she got home and was able to remove her pants, both legs from ankle to hip had red swollen marks on their entirety. My daughter was hysterical! We called the center and asked what should be done-my daughter does not have a car and depends on public transportation-in addition this was during test week and she did not have the availablity to go to center in person according to the timeslots they were willing to see her. They told me/us that this was an unfortunate side effect of laser and assured us that it would fade away over the next few days or week. Well, let me tell you-the burns got worse-they scabbed-and a month and a half later they are still present-imagine my poor daughter's self esteem now? I called numerous times requesting to speak with a medical director-I have documented all emails that I sent and all phone calls that I made. A nurse did call me back and assured me again that this was a risk, unfortunately, but it would be fine. I asked about the machine settings etc. and was told they were exactly the same as previous sessions. Basically they took no responsibility and accused my daughter of not following protocol which was so far from the truth. When another week went by and things weren't getting any better, i called/emailed again requesting to speak with someone other than a nurse. I asked for the name of their residing medical director and was told they could not provide me that information. Imagine that? I was given the run around each time I emailed-and called. Only one other time did someone phone me back (while I was in a meeting) and stated they would follow up with an email of which they never did. (again, i have saved all email correspondence between us). Now, given this horrific experience where my daughter was physically burned on both of her entire legs, we were not comfortable ever returning there for services-all the while I still owe thousands to Ally lending. I wanted to bring this to the medical directors attention so that this would not happen to anyone else. I wanted to demand a refund of my money that remained outstanding on this contract-nobody ever in management nor on the medical side had the decency or professionalism to address our concerns. I then went with my dauther to two other laser centers to ask their opinion of what happened to my daughters legs. Both stated these marks covering all of her legs were burns-and that neither of them had ever had that happen to them in sessions with their clients-this was NOT something that was common and this was in their opinion due to user error. We were advised by both of them to call the center to address our concerns-of which I told them nobody cared to discuss this with us. I told Ideal several times that I would have no choice but to inform the public of this horrific experience of which my daughter remains scarred and i am out thousands of dollars. They did not care! I am in the process of seeking legal advice for this entire situation-because they need to be accountable for all of this! Please please please do not use this center-they do not care at all about their patients well-being, confidence, or safety. I'm hoping to add the pictures here to see. I am going to see if it is legal for them to deny me the name of their medical director-i would think consumers have the right to know who is carrying the medical license for such neglectful acts? You might think that once they are creating such inconvenience they might be interested in fixing it pretty smoothly right? Think again. They cancel 4 hours before the appointment and offer you to reschedule it to 2 months ahead! But they do speak with you very politely if that counts for you. Not for me. I don't need politeness, I need to RECEIVE what I PAID FOR without this hassle. I swear to God if these people were not holding my money I would NEVER put my feet in this place again. EVER. I decided to get more treatments and would have loved to keep it all at the same place but no no no, you guys won't see another penny of mine. Extremely poor customer service! I had a virtual consultation with Alyssa on October 2nd. She explained everything well, but she was very pushy from the start. On October 16th I sent her an email asking a question, and after getting no response I sent her another email on October 20th asking her the same question, still no response from her. On October 29th she emailed me just to tell me that the new client offer is ending soon, with complete disregard to my two previous emails. When I responded to that email mentioning that she never responded to those two previous emails, she replied the day after apologizing and also mentioning that she was out of office for a while. I want to mention that it is fine that she was out of office, but when she was back in office rather than responding to my emails she instead sent me an email about the new client offer without even answering my question to those two previous emails. On November 1st I sent her an email, asking her several questions. November 6th she emailed me AGAIN about how the new client offer is ending in 2 days and AGAIN with complete disregard to my email from November 1st. Because of this extremely poor customer service, and also because now I am now convinced that Ideal Image apart from Guaranteeing permanent results (like she said), Ideal image ALSO guarantees that this company is just after their client's money (something she forgot to mention, but is obvious through her emails). I do not want to do my treatment with a company where my questions are continuously being ignored, and instead I am being chased after for my money. I hope she can keep this all in my mind when she is talking to potential customers in the future. I've read all of the other bad reviews for this location but to be honest I don't understand them. I've been coming to ideal image newton since the fall of 2021 for laser hair removal. I've been to 4 total appointments since then at the time of this review, and I have had only pleasant experiences. I've had appointments with 3 different nurses on staff and each of them has been incredible and answered all of my concerns patiently from the start. The front desk staff is always kind and professional. And my treatments have been going well and I'm seeing results! It is important to note that as a patient you receive a confirmation text/email a few days before your treatment. You have to click on a link to confirm that you'll be there- it takes literally 2 minutes. That may have something to do with other reviewers having their appointments get canceled. read more

Very pleased with the level of services I received at Ideal Image in Newton. I purchased two services at the Braintree location, but was able to book my appointment at the Newton location. Very convenient! Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly and knowledgeable front desk staff, and introduced to the highly trained nurse practitioner on staff. I can't remember her name, but she is a miracle worker in my opinion! She explained everything, didn't rush, and wowza, the results are fantastic. Been trying to place a final appt in a laser series for 2 weeks. They transfer you a million times until you are either 'disconnected' or don't answer at all. Very disappointed. I paid for the full package in advance for bikini hair removal. I talked to the consultant and she said the procedure would not be painful, and the nurse would test my pain resistance first. She said if the pain is too much for me, Ideal Image will give me the medicine/cream to reduce the pain. When I came in on Feb 4th, the nurse immediately did the hair removal procedure on me. It was so painful and I tried to stop her and asked her to give me the pain relief cream or medicine but she said no. After the procedure is finished, I told the receptionist/ consultant there that I could not stand the pain like that, and she told me she has already requested the Triple Anesthetic Cream (TAC) for me, and the prescription will be mailed directly to my home before the next session. Today, I received a call from a lady from Pharmacy Innovative. She asked me if I agree to pay $45 to get the cream. If not, I will have to call Ideal Image Newton to ask them to send Pharmacy Innovative a different form to waive this cost. I then called Ideal Image in Newton and met Aimy, who gave me the cream prescription on Feb 4th, and she told me I have to pay for that. Ideal Image does not care about the well being of their clients at all. They do not provide any assistance or measure to reduce the pain from the laser hair removal procedure for their clients. They keep insisting that the procedure is completely pain free, even though it is not, and even after their clients complain to them that it is in fact painful, they seem to not care at all. They seem to only care about how many clients and how much money they can get. I will request a refund if they don't provide the pain relief cream without the additional charge. read more

I would not use this place again. My friend recommended as they were having a sale on Botox, and they are convenient to me. I spoke to them and was signed up for the membership, which should give you discounts. I did get discounted prices, not exactly the same as what I was quoted, but, okay, close enough. I went in to get my forehead area botoxed, the technician said that as my forehead was small, she was not going to inject all that I had bought, as "sometimes it can make your eyebrows droop". She told me she would reserve the rest for me. And, in fact, 10 days later the front part of my eyebrows are scrunched down, pushing on my eyelids causing a whole new angry look. I look like I am scowling all the time. I called to discuss and sent before and after pics, which another technician said: "oh! you look great lifted!" But, she was looking at the better BEFORE pic!! I had a follow up appointment scheduled as part of their regular care, that was cancelled due the technician being ill. When they called to relay this news, I was told I could have my follow up appointment in June, when their own instructions say you should be seen within 10 days of your first botox appointment. They apparently have only one technician, and appointments are limited and if you need an emergency consult or anything else, you are out of luck or they can schedule at another one that you can travel to. And, Of course, there is no refund on anything. I had put down a small deposit amount on a cool sculpting session, which is "non refundable" even though I have cancelled weeks in advance. Its too bad that 1. I had a negative outcome on the botox, which I think any other place would be anxious to correct 2. they are so limited on technicians that the whole place basically shuts down if one gets ill 3. their rules are so rigid as to guarantee client unhappiness. This is a a place with good installations. I went there for botox. They told me that the price included a retouch 2 weeks later. When it was my appointment for the retouch, they told me that i had to pay more for the "extra botox". I was upset and left immediately. I was not hapoy with the ending results. I was very excited to go to ideal image for the first time for botox (after a friend referred) I have been to other places before for botox and have been happy with the results but since this was convenient, being located in Newton, I decided to give them it a try. I had my appt and it was fine - I was a little confused when I paid for 50 units (the most units and $ I've ever paid) ahead of time. First, I should have some units leftover but she kind of brushed it off like it basically was 50...I'm sorry but I want what I paid for. Second, and most important after a week or 2 I could see the results and then they were gone. This is absolutely ridiculous and has never happened before. The results for me have always lasted at least 6-8+ months if not a year. I read another review that said she had the same situation as me, so Idk how this happened but I would not recommend this place. I have called the customer service and been on hold for an hour or longer, left VM's, I finally got someone on the phone today from the actual location, she was very nice and said she would have the manager reach out to me - but then I would be due for a visit anyway being it had almost been 3 months now and that's how long it lasts...I have had botox 3-4 times and I'm 32, it has lasted almost a year - this lasted maybe a month MAX. Hopefully, the manager reaches out and will either refund or be helpful in some way. Will update review based on that. 10/12/20 Update: It's been over a week and I still have not heard from anyone. I called first to learn about their pricing. I was given a price if I was to use the cosmetic services that day. I went in armed with the name of the person I spoke with and the manager gave me a different (much higher) price and disputed me. When I was prepared to walk, she "went to see her superior" and they decided to honor the price. That service was fine. I went back for another treatment. I was left with huge bumps and the lines I requested to be filled were not--she told me I had to buy more! When I went back a week later, the nurse told me it wasn't the injection causing these bumps, it was the tissue and give it a couple of weeks. Well, 6 weeks later the bumps remain and the lines unfilled. But if I want to see them disappear, there's another treatment for even more money. Don't be fooled. Eventually,( 1-2 weeks later) I met Joy ,the traveling nurse, who explained that I metabolized Botox faster than most, and suggested Dysport ? I had to wait to see how to transfer my money into Dysport units and not Botox ? Never has happened. That was in Sept. I have never heard from her or anyone at Ideal Image. The receptionist refused to give me her name or the name of the manager or the franchise owners. There is NO ONE to complaint to, so here I am. On Oct 30,2019 I received a call from Danielle Zdenek ( I don't know her) who stated " your refund is no problem. You will receive it in 7-10 business days. It will be credited to my bank acct." NOPE! Hasn't happened and no one will tell me what my refund will be, even though I have asked each time I have called? By my calculations $360.00. We shall see? I am so angry at the lack of concern for the client and the rudeness of the snooty staff. NEVER use Ideal Image anywhere anytime. They are a charlatan operation, with zero accountability. I suspected their Botox to be diluted. I have had it done at a doctor's office before and it was very expensive but effective. What if their injections caused grave harm to my face/body? There would be no recourse because NO ONE stands behind their product or business. They are such cowards they can't even return a call. Joy was reasonable but marginally, she works for them.I will tell everyone I know how awful this place is and I hope they go out of business but not before my refund, Attorney General's Office here I come! I wish I can give 0 star. I reviewed this place and gave them 4 star few months ago after my 3rd BBL treatment. This time I gave one star because I've just had the last treatment, and it's totally waste of my time and money. I purchased a full treatment which has 5 sessions. The first two and the last one were done by this girl let's call her N. After the fist two sessions, I've already had my doubts because the girl always perform the treatment so fast like she doesn't care just want to finish her job. She always lift the laser gun so quickly that when the laser gun flash, it already left my skin. And because of this wrong performance I don't see any improvements after the first two treatments. But this was my first medical spa experience so I thought it was supposed to be like that. Well the third session was done by a different person called Kat. She was amazing. She really listened to my concerns, and perform the treatment so carefully and throughly. I see obvious improvement after the treatment. She made me feel that I'm in good hand and she really took good care of me, that's why I gave this place 4 star right after the third treatment. So I booked the remaining sessions with Kat. But today when I went back there for my last session, I was told that Kat left this store, and they ask me if I want to reschedule, since I don't know anyone else better, so I thought I'll just give it a try, but it turns out it was the first girl, N, who treated me for the 1st and 2nd sessions. So same thing happened. And I asked this girl why she lift the gun so quick, when it flashes it already left my skin, and that cannot make any effect on the skin. She insist that this is the way to do it, if she hold it longer it will burn my skin. But let me explain what's happening here, it burn only because she performs it so quickly and won't let the gun cool down itself-yes this gun has a cooling down function, it just need to wait for one or two seconds to let it happen. But she doesn't wait. And during the treatment, I was burned not by the energy but by the heat of the gun!!! It is so disappointed and unpleasant! I got bad experience but no improvement. I was thinking having Botox injections at this place but now I'll never come back! 5 sessions BBL cost more than 1 thousand! I've wasted three sessions with no improvements! I'm so upset! That's unacceptable! I understand that some treatments just don't work on some people, but having good results after treatment with Kat, I'm sure it's just because this girl N doesn't do it right! Whatever you do, do not give Ideal Image one cent of your money. They are scam artists. They sell you on an unlimited number of treatments within a particular time frame, and then fail to ever have appointments available. Appointments are scheduled out on such an irregular basis that you never get any results, and they constantly cancel or reschedule you. I had an appointment booked in February that they cancelled, and their solution is to reschedule me in May and make me pay for it (since it falls out of my contract timeframe). They constantly blame their scheduling problems on being short staffed, but that's frankly not my problem. After paying thousands of dollars, I would expect they can do better than MONTHS in between appointments. I'm considering taking Ideal Image to small claims court as I feel completely taken advantage of. I have tried calling and emailing customer service and it has gotten me nowhere. Perhaps this company should reconsider taking on new clients until they can adequately care for their current, paying clientele. I cannot stress this enough - take your business elsewhere unless you're looking for outrageous pricing with subpar results. read more

I had such a great experience at the Ideal Image (Newton location). The facility was bright, clean, and easy to get to. I was great upon arrival by front desk receptionist, Mikala, who was helpful to check me in and get me all settled in. After filling out some initial paper work so they could learn about my medical history, allergies, etc. I was quickly connected to my nurse, Jess, for treatment. She was extremely informative and thorough with her consultation. I'm so extremely happy with the botox/dysport treatment I received! Feeling fresh and glowing just a few days later. I would highly recommend Ideal to anyone in the Boston area!!! read more
