Upon my consultation, I was so nervous as I had my breast implants for twelve years and had a less than satisfying experience with a different surgeon then. Dr. Poulos saw how nervous I was during my consultation and spent almost two hours with me discussing what the next steps would be and how she could help. She spoke directly to the point and did not sugar-coat anything, which I was very grateful for. I didn't want a Doctor who filled my head with maybes, I wanted someone to say, this is the body type you have and this is exactly how it will change. I found great comfort in how she spoke. Surgery day came, again, I was so nervous but the outcome was so much better than I anticipated it to be. I went home to recover and was amazed with how little bruising and pain I had. My pain was easily managed with tylenol and my bruising was only a few yellow spots under my breasts. Her office called me the next day to check in and continued to call leading up to my follow-up appointment. My follow up appointments with her and her staff have been wonderful and they continue to be attentive and supportive even as I am 6 weeks post-op. I find it hard to articulate the words to describe what Dr. Poulos has done for me. She has been a light in a time of darkness and has given me my femininity back. He does not take the time to evaluate each patient properly, and his communication skills are inadequate. I waited to write this to see if my scars would heal over time, and they have not. Working with him was the worst decision I have made in the field of plastic surgery. There is more, as he did three procedures, but I will not go on. I wasted my money and am permanently scarred. The lack of communication left me feeling empty, uncared for, and cheated. Please! Dr. Lee and Carly Matthews, his PA, explained every detail of what could happen in surgery, good and bad, in a way where I didn't feel I needed to pull out a medical dictionary. He reiterated at the pre-op appointment and on the day of surgery exactly what he would be removing and re-implanting during the procedure from start to finish and I knew I was in good hands which is always a plus before you entrust a surgeon to make that first cut. I received first rate care from everyone I interacted with starting on the day of the initial consultation at his office as well as with the coordinator who scheduled the surgery, the nurses and Anesthetists on the day of the procedure at the River's Edge 1-Day Surgery Center and then back at the office for post-op care. My husband is in the medical field and looks for faults with providers and their staff but couldn't find any flaws with Dr. Lee and his team.
