I cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about Ideal Dental of Mansfield. Dr. West and her team (major shout out to all of these ladies!!) have made going to the dentist -- a feat that used to give me major anxiety and high blood pressure... -- something I actually look forward to. I had always been so self-conscious of my smile and debated for YEARS about Invisalign (all while berating my younger self for not caving to braces like a normal 10 year old should have...) I took the plunge last year and set up consultations at all the main places to see what was the best fit. Ideal Dental blew them all out of the water - especially since I could get my trays and dental work at the same place (Being a frequent traveler, this was a blessing!!) No stuffy office wait time, no snotty receptionists or billing agents, no awkward waiting in the dental room staring at gingivitis posters - no, Ideal Dental is different. Used to be a regular here. I'm hitting that age where my parents insurance no longer covers me. For two visits, I asked if I was still insured because of this - as to which I was met with "yes." Finally I call just before my wisdom teeth appointment out of anxiety to really triple check I was insured. Thankfully, the lady on the call took the initiative of verifying my insurance was active. It was not. She said it hadn't been for my last visit either so my down-payment for my wisdom teeth appointment was used for that last out-of-pocket visit. I'm glad she told me and clarified some things with me, but it's frustrating to have asked about this during prior visits and have out-of-pocket costs for something I wish they could've clarified. I called back today to cancel a future appointment since I'm not insured anymore just to be met with the lady cutting me off and stating that I have a nice day and hanging up. Once I work out my coverage, this isn't somewhere I'd come back to, but before all of this - the staff used to be accommodating and friendly. read more

I've been coming to Ideal Dental for over a year and this is the best dental experience I've ever had. Rachel, the hygienist, is always quick and also extremely friendly. Dr. Ali always explains everything really well, and she even accommodated my end-of-year scheduling. So long as these two people work here, I will always come here. read more

I went to ideal dental for tooth removal they told me my X-ra would be covered by my insurance and I would need medical clearance because of the medication I take I got clearance and called them to set up a appointment. They told me they will get in contact with me. I have been a customer of Ideal Dental, Arlington for many years and have nothing but praise for them. I move to Mansfield and for the past 3 years, this Mansfield office has been steadily going down the hill. They seem to have new employees at this practice who do not care about their customers. A couple of weeks ago, I was yelled at over the phone. Last week my child's appointment was canceled while we were there because we were 8 mins late. Today, my other child's appointment was canceled for no apparent reason. They told my child that because I rescheduled her siblings' appointment with another Ideal dental office, they were going to cancel her appointment, which they did. I am definitely going to publicize this Mansfield office's bad reputation on social media, also with insurance companies, and let people know to avoid this place like a leper. read more

I have disliked my dental experiences in the past. I explained it to Dr. J and he listened. Finally, I found a dentist who is caring, and attentive. He listened to my concerns which had given me anxiety about my past experiences. Pretty reasonable, booked a new pt appt at 3 and unfortunately haven't seen a dentist in a while which had me there until closing. They gave me many options and provided an honest opinion about what I could do with my future care. I appreciate the breakdown of cost and the many different options to pay I was provided. While I'm not a huge fan of Care Credit, since I used to work with them in a prior employment, it seems like the payment plan was pretty cut and dry. I didn't need to, but that options were there were nice. Staff was nice and I'm super uncomfortable with dental visits, they seemed to take time to make sure I was okay. This location is unorganized and poorly managed. At the time of my first visit, the office was running a "special" for Invisalign and my smile wasn't perfect, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I paid for the Invisalign up front and was specifically told that there would be no additional costs associated as this was an "all inclusive" package. Now, I'm done with my final tray and was told that the retainers were an additional $500 because I was given "Invisalign lite, not Invisalign." I was never told that I was purchasing a lite package, just Invisalign. The ladies up front acknowledged the fact that I was told the package was "all inclusive" and directed me to their manager. So, after speaking to the regional manager (over 2 weeks time) they are charging me $250 for the retainers. It's the principle of the situation that bothers me. They'll get the $250, but have lost my trust and my growing family's business forever. read more

I saw Dr. A and loved how she explained everything to me. I have never had a dentist explain the mechanics of teeth, etc. she also did my cleaning which is a little unusual but cool. The office staff was awesome and accommodating. The office itself is beautifully kept and modern. read more

Dr. Cao was the best dentist ever! And the staff here were super friendly and fun to talk to! I went to get a routine dental cleaning and checkup and Dr. Cao took the time to show me pictures of my teeth and walked me step by step through her analysis of each one, with detailed descriptions of what she observed and what could be a solution. For example, before I told her anything, she asked me if I tend to bite and grind my teeth a lot because she's noticing the beginning of what could be damage from chipping teeth. She then went through why it could cause problems down the road and what I could do to prevent those problems. We then went through all of my teeth and she paused at each one that seemed to have something of concern. She wasn't pushy for me to get anything done for the issues that seemed to be minor. I very much appreciated her approach to teaching me and I trusted her completely. A few hours after my appointment, Dr. Cao called me just to do a check up that everything was okay. Apparently she does this with all her patients and I think it's such a nice touch! If it wasn't obvious already, I highly recommend you to see Dr. Cao for your dental needs! read more

Well the last few weeks have been quite an experience. One I soon won't forget. I never understood why people said they didn't like going to a dentist until my most recent encounters with Ideal Dentistry of Mansfield TX. I go in for my first visit Jan. 3rd after suffering from two teeth being severely chipped. They come up with a plan. We can schedule surgery for the next week and in the mean time we could knock some other issues out. So that day we start procedure 1 for a temporary crown on a tooth that I would be coming back to get the permanent put in at a later date. Procedure 2 was on January 9th for the surgery to remove the teeth that where giving me issues as well as another wisdom tooth I was suggested to get removed. While under anesthesia they where only able to pull 1 of my teeth due to me coming out of sedation early. Unfortunately it was the wisdom tooth that was not giving me pain, so I still have the 2 teeth in my mouth that where giving me issues. I called the office back on Monday Jan 13 to attempt to figure out when we are going to schedule to complete the surgery after complications. The young lady stated the office manager was out today but that she would have the district manager Zaria call me and send me an email with her contact information. I received no call back as I was told. Jan 14th I call back and speak to their office manager SALLY who tells me how sorry she is and she will be sure to call me back. I received no follow up. Finally on Jan 23rd, 2 weeks after my initial surgery I am completely fed up. I call again and speak with another lady Jessica in their office who advises me they can not share the email or number for their district manager. She let's me know I will hear back from someone. In this instance I did receive a call back from Andy, who is the surgeons assistant letting me know he can handle the refunds and concerns I am having for the surgery but not for any complaints with the general practice at this location. Andy advises me they would not be able to get me back in for surgery until February 8th in Frisco, which is 50 miles from the location I visit. I found this to be ridiculous and a poor way to handle an issue out of my control. Today is January 25th, I still have 2 exposed chipped teeth in my mouth on the right side, and a temporary crown on the left side with no plan in motion to fix the pain I am still suffering from. Waking up in the middle of the night to take another ibuprofen just to get some sleep. I will never be a patient for this dental practice ever again and Highly advise for you to seek out someone who understand the value of their patients, THEIR CUSTOMERS!! read more

This dentist office OVER charged me by $200 and filed a false claim with my insurance. I highly suggest choosing another dentist. They did prodecuders without even consulting with me that I would owe money and to top it off the procedure wasn't even necessary. read more

So many issues with this place. First, I booked an appointment around getting my son from school and when they confirmed, they said it was a different time. I wouldn't have booked an appointment that would interfere with my son's school school schedule as I drive him to and from school. Secondly, they quoted me service that was excessive. 4K, worth of work. I went to another dentist as my insurance changed and she confirmed I was all set and nothing was needed. Worst Experience The office staff is not friendly. The females at the front desk didn't give a welcome greeting. I had a 4pm schedule appointment today. To the Ideal Dental front desk staff, If paid dental service isn't going to be completed then don't schedule appointments at 4pm. Shelby rushed my cleaning then put fluoride on my teeth and DIDN'T COMPLETE THE JOB. Shelby is rude and unprofessional! Shelby took the digital pictures of my teeth. I asked Shelby what was one of the device used for and she had an attitude. Once the dentist came in and exam my teeth Shelby clean my teeth. Shelby clean my teeth so fast and put fluoride on my teeth and hand me a bag with toothpaste and toothbrush and said she was finish! I asked Shelby to FLOSS my teeth after she had put the fluoride on and she said "OF I HAVE RAN OUT OF TIME" and she didn't complete her job! I told Shelby I want my teeth Floss and didn't move until it was completed! Shelby left the room and did not floss my teeth! The female dentist came back and floss my teeth. I also inform the female dentist that completed my exam what Shelby told me and she was nonchalant. FLOSSING A PATIENT TEETH AFTER PUTTING FLUORIDE ON IS A PROCEDURE THAT IS SUPPOSE TO BE COMPLETED! Shelby need to be retrained so she known to floss a patient teeth after putting fluoride on and complete her job. When you stand for nothing, you fall for anything! There is too many dentist office in the DFW and I will not deal with an ignorant person like Shelby who think she will tell me anything like "OF I HAVE RAN OUT OF TIME" and I should be okay with it! It's not okay! Am sure when my insurance is billed by Ideal Dental the billing office is not going to say "OF I HAVE RAN OUT OF TIME" don't worry about the payment! Shelby is rude and have no customer service. Customer service is bad ! My dentist visit prior to today was great but today was the worst experience! Last me first start by saying, I am the biggest crybaby when it comes to dentists! The only reason I finally went was because my husband threatened to remove me from the dental policy. Upon first entering, everyone was so nice and helpful. When I sat in the chair my heart was racing but Veronica (the tech) and Dr. Chan quickly put me at ease. After the exam, I decided to have the fillings n crown done. I am petrified of needles near my mouth!!!!!! Dr. Chan numbed me with some numbing gel and when she gave me the shots, she does something with your jaw where you barely even feel the needle. Just a quick lil prick n the rest was history!! I've had an appointment scheduled for over 6 months. I had my son in this same office less than a week ago and verbally confirmed my appointment for today. Because they didn't get a '24 hour confirmation' from me, they canceled my appointment! The wait is ridiculous. They appear to double book. The first appointment I had, a woman walked in 5 mins after me and was called back within 5 mins. 10 mins after that (waiting in lobby 20 mins), they take me back for x-rays. I sit in front be chair for almost 45 mins before asking when my cleaning will begin because I had been there more than an hour at that point and had other things to do after the appointment. That is when they told me the dental hygienist would be at least another 15-20 minutes to complete her current patient, which was the woman that had arrived 5 mins after me. They said my cleaning should only take 45 mins to an hour...I asked them to reschedule the appointment. Now I am back for the rescheduled appointment and I have been here 35 minutes in the lobby and no one has offered an explanation for the delay or when my appointment is actually going to begin. Worst experience at a dental office ever!! Inexperienced staff and the wait was ridiculous on 2 different occasions due to the staff being focused on getting additional funds from patients. Wait one day was for my husband was 2.5 hours...staff claimed that a surgery went over. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. The next day I visited for a cleaning and x-rays. X-rays were taken and I sat for an hour before they claimed that I needed fillings done. I agreed to have them done; however, they requested payment to be made before my teeth had even been cleaned. I ended up walking out before having any services done. I called the Corporate Office to make tgem aware of my experience and someone claimed they would get back with me. I never heard from anyone until I called back to request my x-rays to be sent to another dentist. Do yourself a favor and do not patronize this business. read more
