The whole process from the help to select the flooring to the actual install was a great experience.

We love Ideal! The owner and the staff do excellent work. Our new countertops look wonderful!

Hey Arnold, I just wanted to say thank you for all your hard work and effort to resolve my LV floor issue. I appreciate the fact that you kept me informed throughout the entire process. I don't have any more popping sounds! I was at a gathering last night and someone asked me about the outcome and resolution. I was bragging on your flooring company when I told them how you continue to follow up, communicate and worked with the manufacturer of the flooring. We all agreed that we need more businesses like yours who are honest and truly there to help their customers. Thanks again for all you did to fix my flooring issue. The crew could not have been nicer and professional. read more

I wanted to have carpet installation in a 11 x 11 room including the closet, so around 170 square feet. I called and wanted a quote for carpet installation and they said they couldn't give me a quote over the phone, so I asked them if they could come out and measure or give me a rough estimate for the job and they said no. They said I had to go to their store and set up an appointment to have them come out to the house. So I drove over there and picked out a carpet and when I told them I just wanted to get a room done they told me there would be a surcharge of $195 for anything less than 450 sq feet. I wished they would of told me over the phone first instead of me driving all the way out there but I understand that this is a small business so I didn't think it was unreasonable. They came out to measure and then they called back with a quote of around $1018 for the room. Needless to say that I decided to go for a different company since they quoted me double the amount of all the other 4 companies I got quoted for the same project. One of the employees was very accommodating and nice but the other was not very communicative and I felt like I wasted my time with all the back and forth. read more

We recently replaced one wood floor and two rooms of carpet with LVP flooring. After getting several estimates, we chose IDEAL Carpet & Flooring and were thrilled with the work done. Reuben and Arnold were so much help and so patient while we worked through choosing the best product for our lifestyle. Those poor guys had to field so many novice questions! The two men who did the work in our home were meticulous. Their attention to detail was astounding. They worked hard and consistently, and went above and beyond the call of duty to contain the mess when taking up the old wood floor that was glued down. The end result is beautiful and the floors have no hollow or spongy feel in any areas. IDEAL Carpet & Flooring will absolutely be our go-to for future needs and I gladly refer them to anyone who is in need! read more

Second time using Ideal Carpet and Flooring in Richmond! I wanted to re-do my master bathroom and thought "call the experts". Arnold was AMAZING (just like before) guiding me through the process of "what to pick", that is always my hardest problem. After selecting the shower tiles and flooring (which were FABULOUS) the rest was pretty easy. We were to start the install right after the crazy winter storm that Texas had in early March and they did some juggling and stuck to the schedule....THAT WAS AMAZING! The whole team was wonderful, I cannot express my gratitude for such a fantastic design and install. Thank you so much guys, I am in love with my new bathroom! I will definitely use you again in the future. I attached a few pictures :) read more

Great company and staff! I had about five to six companies give us bids on two large rooms and stairs. They gave me the best price on a specific carpet we wanted. From the time we walked into their showroom to the completed project, everyone was professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Ruben and Beto were awesome. We love to help out local companies and they did a great job! read more

Our new floors look amazing! Workers were on time, tidy, professional and highly skilled. Highly recommend this company!

The 2 stars isn't because their final product is bad. My bathroom is beautiful and I couldn't be happier with the final result. My 2 stars is their inability to communicate properly with me over things and my bad feeling about being overcharged for materials. I was told I would be getting a "tile artist" who could do amazing and beautiful tile work. I was told their exceptionally high fee was because he would be laying tile with near perfection. What I got was 3 days of this "tile artists" helper laying my floor and a few hours each day of the tile artists putting the tile design on my shower walls. One day he didn't show up until late in the afternoon and that was just to tell me they didn't have enough of the floor tile to finish. I asked the sales guy who sold me a "tile artist" what was happening. I was told that the "tile artist" was to put up the design tile and his helper did all the other work. And they were looking for more tile so they could get done. I asked for an itemized cost list because the helper picked up two boxes of unopened tile and left with it. Was I being charged for this tile even though they were taking it back? Why was an opened nearly full box of the expensive tile laying on my garage floor? Did they order too much and charge me for it? I was told they really didn't DO an itemized list for their customers. Now I'm feeling taken advantage of because who knows what they really charged me for. So if you use them GET AN ITEMIZED list of the work they plan to do and how much the material is they will use and if they will deduct the tile they don't use. This was my fault...so I'm passing along what I learned. The tile is beautiful and I wouldn't change my bathroom for the world. But the bad taste they left in my mouth over the poor customer service and lack of detail on the cost can't be washed away in the fancy new bath. read more

Absolutely loves working with Ideal Carpet! They listened to exactly what I wanted and pointed me in the right direction for flooring. I had many questions and they were amazing at answering them and not never seemed frustrated with all my questions and concerns. The crew that came out to install the floors were absolutely amazing. They were very professional, cleaned up after themself, and did amazing work to make sure everything matched. Theses guys are great! I would highly recommend to anyone in need of flooring. I love my floors! Professional from start to finish.

Poor customer service. Been waiting for 4 days for the final cost and details and still no call or email. Nobody answer their phone

We replaced our carpet with "pet friendly" flooring (karndean art select flooring) and absolutely love it! This place has very competitive prices and the two men who came to install the floors were professional and polite. We did about 800 square feet which took a 3 full days. We haven't even had the floors for 3 days and my husband already emailed them for a quote for the master bedroom. This company came recommended by my inlaws, and I would definitely recommend them to the others. Great local place to meet your flooding needs! read more

Ideal installed cherry hardwood floors throughout our home about 7 or 8 years ago. We since moved and used them to install hand-scraped wide plank harwood throughout the house. Both time price and install were excellent. read more

Reuben and Arnold have this flooring business down! I have worked with them on three wood flooring installation jobs to-date and they are always responsive, punctual, and do not leave until the job is complete. I have had the same workers each time over the last three years. which says a lot about their business. After the first project, I never considered anyone else. Their attention to detail is perfect and they do fantastic work! They also worked with some scheduling around other work being done without any hesitation. It is so nice to hear "we can work with you on that"! read more

The Ostera family at Ideal Carpet and Flooring have done work in our home three times over a period of 7 years. They first laid tile in the entry and kitchen area. It was perfect and still looks good today. They next remodeled the kitchen and their craftsmen did an outstanding job. The granite and the tiles backspash craftsmen were impressive to watch. It is really well done. We then hired them to remodel our master bath. The attention to the details of the tiles in the shower and the floor created a stunning and beautiful bath. The granite work is as good as that in the kitchen. The team members are courteous, knowledgeable and reliable. read more

My experience with Ideal Carpet & Flooring was wonderful from start to finish. I recently had hardwood floors placed throughout my home and the finished product is fantastic to say the least!! Their customer service is superior to most flooring stores I have visited especially the big box retail stores. During the entire process of looking through sample floors; removing the old flooring in our home; laying down the new wood floors; they communicated with me every step of the way. I received a phone call each day letting me know what the process would be like for the day. My family and I are so pleased with our floors and the superior customer service that I have taken the liberty to refer our friends to them as well. In addition, I plan to use Ideal Carpet & Flooring again. I can't say enough how pleased I am with my beautiful wood floors and the entire process! I would highly recommend this flooring company! read more
