REVIEW OF MY 88YR OLD LEGALLY BLIND MOTHER ATTEMPT TO RETURN AN END OF LEASE CAR TO NISSAN ON…read moreSTATEN ISLAND. This was my experience! First i callled Nissan Financial and asked if there policy on lease returns. I was told that i could return end of car lease at any cerified Nissan dealership. I also double checked by calling the dealer and explained the situation and asked if i needed an appt to return the car. I was told that no appt was needed and just drop in and theyll take the car back. I was thinking wow this is easy. But unfortunately I was wrong. I took the car to this dealership and I informed them of my legally blind 88yr old mother and her 89 year old KOREAN WAR veteran husband situation and how the due to health related issues had to use this dealeship to make the lease return They asked if the car was infact purchased there and obviously in this case it wasn't. And I was bluntly informed that I can not return the leased Nissan to that dealer. That it was Nissans policy to return cars to the dealer of orgin. So, technically what they told me was that if I bought a Nissan in California and relocated to Staten island I would have to now drive back to CA to return the car. I once again informed them of my 88yr old legally blind Mothers situation and I was them informed that under no circumstances can she return the car to them. I was also rudely and matter of factly told " that the same way I drove the car to there dealership "convenient" I can do the same and drive the car back to the south jersey dealer it was leased at. And again under no circumstances can my legally blind 88yr old Mothers and 89yr old demtia diagnosed Korean war veteran husband return the car to them. The Reader can decide if you want to do business with a dealership that treats there handicapped, eldery, veteran customers like this. Or choose another dealer. Ok so you can see my prior review and I had given them 5 stars. Well....my new car had a problem…read morewith the screen that is my navigation and air conditioner. Screen was completely black. I called and spoke to Michael. I assumed it was the general manager because that who I had requested to speak with and he proceeded to tell me I can bring the car in and they would provide me a loaner The next day I arrive at the dealership and guess what ....there are 3 Michael's and I'm being questioned which one did I speak with. Now yes ...my fault for not getting his last name but I work in an emergency room so I was a bit busy when I called regarding my car. Regardless I'm sitting at the dealership and I haven't been able to speak with any of the 3 Michael's and the covering manager is saying they do not give out loaners for a screen malfunction even though supposedly it may take days to fix. Excuse me???!?!! The car has 3000 miles on it. It's 3 months old and I'm supposed to leave the car and go pay to rent a car???? What kind of service is this??? I've been driving 35 years and I've never encountered this situation. Are you freaking kidding me?? Now my original salesperson has stepped in and they say they are looking at the car and hopefully they can fix it within an hour. I'll let you know the resolution of this but if this is how they treat customers I want to say stay AWAY from this place. I'll update you once I leave. Ok. They definitely redeemed themselves. Not only Mr Popo who was my salesman but also the general manager Michael. Mr Popo made sure I left with everything working in my car and the manager Michael called to apologize and ensure everything was corrected. Both of these gentlemen cared about my experience and no one could want more than that. They truly went above and beyond and I am grateful. I love my car that I bought from them and the fact they ensured my experience remained positive means a great deal. Mistakes can be made but it's what people do after that that counts. I thank them both sincerely

Absolutely terrible experience with Island Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. I currently own over 6 Jeeps…read moreand have never dealt with a dealership this bad when it comes to service. Trying to schedule a service appointment is a complete joke -- they are booked out for OVER TWO MONTHS. That is unacceptable, especially for loyal customers who have spent so much money with this dealership and brand over the years. To make matters worse, they have absolutely no loaner vehicles available and make zero effort to help you find any kind of solution. No urgency, no customer service, no accountability. The attitude is basically "too bad, figure it out yourself." If your vehicle has an issue, be prepared to either wait months or be left without transportation. A dealership representing Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, and Ram should know how important customer service is, but clearly this place does not care once they've made the sale. I would strongly recommend going somewhere else for service unless you want to waste your time dealing with rude, unhelpful staff and terrible scheduling.
