-First Impression- Sooo many products! I only went in for a couple things, but I imagine you'd be able to find what you're looking for no matter what it is. The store smelled nice and I liked the music. -Service- I was greeted right as I walked in the door. Opi (I apologize if this is not the correct spelling) was extremely sweet and helpful. She asked me what I was looking for and directed me to it. When I brought my items to the counter, she suggested I swap one of them for something else that would yield better results (the items were the same price by the way). So glad I listened to her! Thank you for the advice! -Price- I was actually shocked by how good the prices are, especially compared to big companies. This is my go-to hair supply spot. The owners are very friendly and interactive with all of their customers. They go beyond answering your questions but teach you and give advice as needed. It helps when someone has similar hair as you and can actually help- that's why I don't go to Asian owned hair spots anymore because how can they help me? But yes this is a great family owned spot. Something is wrong here. Very, very wrong. And my conclusion is even worse. The following is as concise as I can describe it. I've been coming here for several years to buy one hair product. No problem. About 6 months ago, I posted a RAVE review of business on google reviews. Review could ***NOT*** have been more positive. Purchased synthetic men's wig online, mostly for fun. Needs styling. Sent business an email explaining this on 12/01/21. No resp. On 01/02/22, I phoned. Polite woman (not owner) said she would search for email. Still no resp. Man, this is weird. On 02/07/22, decided to downgrade google review. Review is gone. Only explanation I can come up with: I am White. Business is Black. I will bet big money that owner will post mock-outraged reply with some lame, teary excuse ranging from "we couldn't find your email" (ah, ha, but you had my phone number, too) to, we treat all our customers with respect and no one has ever accused us of racism (well, there were several google reviews from Black women accusing you of racism!). [BTW, racism is a violation of Federal and State law, but you know that.] I stand by every word that I written. Good Morning! Yesterday 2/5/2020 i went into this store for a small amount of supplies 1st I was so happy it is a black owned establishment! 2nd the staff was so accommodating and attentive! I found absolutely everything I needed ! 3rd the prices where great! I recommend this beauty supply house to everyone in the area! I live in the bronx, however when i come back again I will stock up! YOU DON'T TREAT LONG TIME CUSTOMERS THIS WAY! I recently purchased a unit/wig from this store. Within one week, after three wears, the wig begin to mat. I went back and show them the matted wig that I purchased for $67. They told me that all they could do for me was to send the wig back to the manufacturer and let the manufacturer replace the wig. They have a store that is currently filled with hundreds of wigs! I did not want my money back. I just wanted a new and different wig. But they are too stingy to have customer service skills. I will never spend one damn dime in that store again! read more

I just came in with a friend to buy a wig for work. I was not only yelled at in the store for touching a wig (which says you can touch if you sanitize as we did when we walked in). Customers also then yelled at us for the same thing. The owner then proceeded to follow me around the store and watch me as I went by the wigs. I will never give this woman my hard earned cash. I AM a Loyal customer of Ida since she was located behind Route 211 & spent lots of $ at her store over the years! I was even there on her North Street opening day showing support & so I find it hard to believe that she can see NOTHING but dollar signs!!!. She refused to let my daughter receive a product for store credit worth a measeley $13... The product didn't work & we were told by her oldest daughter after complaining about the items over the phone that we should come back to the store! So we did that same night & she didn't give us ANYTHING!!!. You wasted my time & precious gas!... People Always assume that you have a car that you can swiftly jump in & just strut on down to there!! We went back 4 days later to speak to Ida directly & she also refused to replace the product for store credit! I know they were shut down for about 4 months (from the Pandemic) but her business isnt hurting that much!!!... I can NOT believe her attitutude & how losing all of my future money I planned on spending in her store meant more to her than simply replacing the item!... Ladies, It is worth heading to Newburgh Beauty Supply a New, Well Stocked & Well Mannered Beauty Supply Store located on Robinson Ave in Newburgh, N.Y.... Tgere is also OK Beauty & Yes Beauty in Middletown, NY. Also there is Sense Beauty on Broadway!
