I'm locked out of my house from the garage, the door knob won't turn the bolt to unlock the door. I say, so whatta ya want me do do about it? I'm down in the Sacramento area now! He wanted me to look up a locksmith in Carson City that could help him out and fix the problem. So, OK, I get on the internet and look up local locksmiths for Carson City. I find one randomly that seemed local. I gave him the phone number of Capital Lock and Key. They seemed like a mobile service that did a lot of car lock outs and stuff like that, but figured a door lock was pretty basic stuff. In maybe 15 minutes I called him back and asked, so did you get hold of Capital Lock and Key? YES, he was so happy, he said the guy would be there in 20 minutes! Well, heck, that sure way beats some place that might not be there till the next day! Chris Law showed up and fixed him up super fast. It was just a pin that broke in the lock mech thingy. Chris actually had the part in his truck and replaced it, instead of replacing the whole door knob thing and charging way more. This guy was super honest and didn't even charge much. This worked out for my friend super good! Now, I just gotta convince him to get online!

I've had over 10 keys made, and four remotes purchased from this guy. I have five kids, and every time we buy them a used car, we make sure we have a spare key made. We have also purchased remotes for some of the cars. We got a 2015 Ford fiesta and started the normal process where I sent pictures of the key and remote asking the price. There was a guy that texted me that said he was the new '' associate' named Roger working with Santiago. I asked the price, and it had gone up significantly. From the $40, up to $$120 plus. I was a bit put off, but post Covid This type of stuff happens. In the meantime, I put out a request on Yelp to have a key made, and there was another locksmith (locksmith 775 ) that was willing to meet with us and make the key for $50. So I text Roger back and let him know that I was getting it for way cheaper, and that , we would not be needing his service. He text back and as you can read the screenshots, was not a very nice person . After using them for so many years, because I didn't want to pay $240 for 2 keys, he said they were going to block me and that I wasted their time . I was able to leave a text with Santiago, and let him know that I was willing to keep doing business with them, as well as keep referring customers if they were going to remain low price. His response to me was they were going to change their focus to people who want. It really isn't wasting time hunting around for a good deal. That's part of business. So yeah, even if I wasn't blocked.... I would never use them.

Well, let me tell you that I have used this company three times in the last year. Needles to say I…read moream the worst when it comes to loosing keys or locking them in my car. Yesterday I called them to come and unlock my door and make a new key because yes I lost my keys again. It was my 26 year old GMC cargo van. Well they got the door unlocked in no time.....But trying to make the ignition key was another story. After two plus hours and six or seven tries I told them to stop I would have it towed to the GMC dealer. The best part of a good company I handed the tech my credit card and he said I can't charge you because I could not fix your problem. WOW !!!!!! NOT MANY companies have the work ethics today. When the big box store automatic key cutting machine can't cut a key correctly these guys get it…read moreright. I needed duplicate key for the mailbox. The key machine made 2 copies. Neither one worked. Took them back and received 2 more. Two more duds. Went to different store and cut 2 more. Now I have 6 keys that don't work. I used my digital caliper and every one of the cuts were off from the original by .004 to .008. Not a lot, but all the difference. Sigh.
