Very nice staff. The place looks clean and inviting. Lots of options to choose from as to what type of ice cream you would like and toppings. Rolled ice cream is amazing. I absolutely love the ice cream from here. The people who work here always do a good job. The only downside is the actual location isn't nice and sitting and eating your ice cream there isn't ideal due to the loud sounds of them preparing the other people's ice cream orders and the street noises. It's fun to watch them make the ice cream and roll it in front of you. $11 for a bowl is a lot but you do get whatever toppings. I got the berried in mango sorbet with strawberries, mochi, blueberries, popping boba, and lychee jelly. I thought it was really good and there was chunks of raspberries in the sorbet that I really liked. You can get as many toppings as you want which I liked because it made the whole thing better bc each bite is different and fun. I was excited to try these delicious Ice Cream rolls. So, I had this unique fun experience in my last time in San Francisco. I tried three different kinds of them! The store hours say they open at 2 and I arrived at 2:15 and they still weren't opened. I don't see why they say they're open at a certain time if it's going to open later. Really what you are paying for are the various options which is definitely good if you like really sweet ice cream. The ice cream itself, does not stand on par to other places in SF that have just as high prices. The location has a good ambiance and is open fairly late in the area, by Westfield and downtown, while most places are closed, so it's not a bad spot to hang out with people for a late night craving. Further down (moving left still), made our Vegan base selection of Coconut Milk and Vegan add-ons. Keep it moving to the left and the guy started rolling. Our guy was so friendly he actually divided our ice cream in two cups without charge...Thank You! Keep going left and pick your Toppings and syrup. I went with Captain Crunch and a few other Vegan toppings while my daughter went for crushed Oreos and something else. Move it it along then lounge and eat your creation. I'm so glad ICICLES made our experience that much more enjoyable. By the time my kid and I were ogling and drooling over our Coconut Base rolled ice cream, the place had a line going outside and this was at 11pm. Fun spot to check out downtown on a hot day. Thai ice cream is as much about the ice cream as watching someone making it. Miraculously, the vanilla custard, mixed with crushed Graham cracker and condensed milk, freezes in a thin layer on the flat frozen round metal plate, and then gets rolled up and put into a cup. Fun demonstration! The ice cream is not as rich or smooth as the best places in SF (smitten, birite, Humphrey slocomb), but worth trying for novelty. For someone who really likes sweet topping, they have unlimited toppings, some of which are too sweet for me (mochi, boba balls). Last night, I had my first cup of rolled ice cream from Icicles, and I know for sure that's not going to be my last and only. I got the Strawberry Fantasy with five toppings: fresh strawberries, whipped cream, rainbow sprinkles, toasted marshmallow, and mochi bites. Alas I was too enamoured with admiring and eating the ice cream to take photos. The ice cream itself is smooth and rich, packed with sweet, fresh strawberry flavour. I thought the mochi and whipped cream best complemented Strawberry Fantasy specifically, though those with less of a sweet tooth will want to go for the fresh strawberries to offset the ice cream's sweetness. Since each cup allows for five different toppings, you get a lot of bang for your buck, but I was a little disappointed the servers only gave me one toasted marshmallow TT My friends and I came later when the place was more packed and they were more understaffed, but we got our ice creams pretty fast. The only quibble I have is that no one was manning the cashier, since the workers were all understandably busy, so you had to pay by card at the digital ordering station, which sucked for one of my friends who only brought cash. New to rolled ice cream so I had no expectations. You go up to the counter to the right to order the type of ice cream of your choice, then pay and when it's your turn they call out your name and mix and hand roll your ice cream at one of the windows. Because it's being freshly mixed and rolled you can only choose one kind per bowl. Then you go over to the toppings station and can choose unlimited toppings for your ice cream. I'd give it 5 stars except the person rolling my ice cream took like 8 different dripping wet ice cream scrapers in and out of the water baths and kept patting the ice cream down and trying to scrape/roll it up repeatedly dripping milky water onto my ice creams. She was very sweet though and explained the machine to cool the ice cream down was not working properly. I still don't know why she couldn't have held one scraper and dripped less milky water onto my ice cream, though. It grossed me out but didn't seem to really effect anything so I just went with it. However my ice cream did melt pretty fast so I wonder if maybe it never did get as cold as intended. read more

I haven't had rolled ice cream in a long time, so this was a nice treat. The place itself is quite large with quite a bit of seating. The ice cream is pretty expensive at close to $10, but if you can show your badge that you work within 1/2 mile, you get a discount to $7.75 and with Yelp check in it's a further $1 off, so $6.75 which is very reasonable. They have a lot of different base flavors - we got the Ferrari, which is vanilla ice cream with chocolate wafers, Nutella, and almonds. The wafers and almonds added a very pleasant crunch to the ice cream. You can watch it being made! The other really nice thing about this store is the unlimited toppings. We chose the Nutella swirl with cheesecake bites, mini M&Ms, popping boba, and whipped cream, and the toppings were really delicious. If I could leave 0 starts I would. I'd like to state that my family and I loved this place before the switched owners. They got new staff as well, and they SUCK! First off, the guy did the order wrong and when it was brought to his attention, he got bad and tossed the next one over. Secondly, they have the spoon out where everyone can touch them in a filthy container. Once all out orders were done I asked for spoons that she had behind the counter preferably, while she was in FRONT OF THEM; like literally we can see them yet she has the audacity to say "you can grab one from there" , to which I responded and finally got my spoons. You go in, order and then wait to be called by someone who will create the rolled ice cream in front of you. We went in on a Sunday night and it wasn't crowded. We shared Nutella and Chill (custard base blended with bananas, graham crackers and Nutella). It was covered with so many toppings it was hard to take a picture of the rolled ice cream!
