I have been in contact first with the salesperson and, for over a week now, with Thomas--the representative here in Florida. I have had several issues with this company; after two years of insisting that one of the microinverters never worked, I finally managed to get it replaced--even though they had previously claimed it was functional and simply wasn't reporting data to the system. I hope that by posting about this poor workmanship, bad customer service, and terrible client management on social media, I can finally get my money back and stop having to beg for the return of my deposit every week. A warning to the entire Florida community regarding GoSolarPower: After I gave them a chance to contract for a new property--where they were supposed to apply a discount using the deposit from my previous Tesla battery installation--I decided to cancel the project because they failed to honor the price quote they had provided (citing market price increases). Now, they are telling me they will charge a $5,000 fee plus permit costs, even though they had originally required a total deposit of $6,750. They are a total scam. We had similar issues to the people that left a review on solarreviews.com, bbb.org, Yelp and the person who sued them to return their monies. They promised a specific brand a/c to be installed, then a change order was done for a less expensive brand and the company that came out to do the work never pulled permits or submitted the application to the HOA to proceed with the work. After we couldn't get a hold of the company. Mark the salesperson, said a permit wasn't needed and a few other excuses followed. We decided not to follow through with any additional work, since the initial work wasn't done properly, they couldn't provide proper documentation of the price difference in a/c units and permits. Paid $16K for the a/c and a $48K deposit for solar panels.  No one can get a hold of the subcontracted a/c company. However, Mark was quick to try and collect the next installment in CASH again, threatened my elderly father that he was going to sue him if he didn't provide the $24K for the next installment, but didn't matter about the a/c system they insisted on doing to make sure the installation was done properly, so there won't be any issues to tie the solar panels into it. We've sent certified letters to David Burrows (General Manager, previous owner of SDI Development), Marc Burrows (New Owner/Agent for Net 0 Energy Homes Inc), Mark Kennedy (Sales Rep) & Donnie Nolley (Solar Contractor license CVC57025). We still have no resolution, and no monies were returned. We spoke to the district attorney regarding crimes against the elder and we've been advised to file the official complaint to proceed with the investigation...We are being left with no other option at this point.

Amongst a group of bidders Palm Beach Construction (PBC) was awarded the job to rennovate and update, where financially feasible, the 30 year old appartment that had minor prior work done. Simply put the PBC Team from budgeting, to design, to planning, to execution, to the overall timing, did an outstanding job on the project. The original scope of work was to do new porcelin floors throughout a majority, a modern redesign of an open kitchen, including removal of two walls, with an add-on large island/bar and lots of additional cabinet space, one bathroom complete redo, additional beautiful and code compliant electrical outlets and 3-way dimming lighting, code compliant plumbing line relocations, code compliant HVAC returns, exhaust system upgrades, smoke alarms, new walk-in closest fixtures, and painting. As we got into the project demolition, mold was found in multiple places of the appartment. Long story short, 80% of the drywall had to be replaced and ALL the sources of water intrusion, vapor collection, and mold were mitigated properly. Abel E. and Luis V. were great hands-on supervisors and field generals that not only kept their crews on task, in line, and tidy, but also other contractors that were coming in to do work in the unit. PBC also provided other great recommendations such as, Jaime Plana Architect and Rainbow Blinds & Interior for design work and finishing touches. These all met the highest requirements of the condominium associaition's construction rules, the TOPB building codes, and a beautiful, bright, and open floorplan with modern amenities and professional aesthetic finishes. PBC was not the lowest bidder, nor the highest, but they turned out to be the best return on investment. Their desgin to budget, high end execution, and problem solving abilities, will provide a long lasting, beautiful, and timeless finish that the family will enjoy for many years to come. If you are looking for a great and trustworthy General Contractor for your next remolding job, you should consider Palm Beach Construction as one of your go to options. Demand for good contractors is very high in South Florida. Therefore, plan ahead, beat the crowd, and select someone capable that cares, will get the job done right the first time, will save you money in the longrun, and if ever needed, will stand behind their work.
