Overall, this skate center was fairly lackluster. I will start by saying the kids had a good time…read moreskating, and the rental skates appeared to be in decent condition, which was a positive. However, from overall experience, it's not likely we will visit any of the locations again since there are others in the area that seem to be overall better experience. Atmosphere wise much of the facility felt dated and poorly maintained. The floor was painted, and flood and walls had noticeable chipped paint. The tables consisted primarily of plastic picnic tables, and the lockers and wall finishes appeared to be made from basic plywood materials. The décor felt mismatched and out of place, with little cohesive theme or atmosphere. Lighting throughout the facility was less-than. Overall it felt very thrown together and minimally up-kept . The overall space felt smaller than expected as well. There did not appear to be any dedicated party rooms or private event spaces, which limits options for hosting birthdays or group events, although not entirely within the control of the business itself, just more of an aside. I did not use the restroom, so I cannot comment on its condition. The food service was particularly disappointing. If you plan to be here during meal times, I would recommend planning ahead, especially on a weeknight. The kitchen did not appear to be fully operational or adequately stocked, and the food quality was below what I would expect from even a typical convenience store. I hate to say as it seems mean, but it's really an honest comparison based on what I saw. Also, food items that were ordered were forgotten, and employees appeared to be trying to locate supplies and determine how to prepare certain menu items or we're focusing on other things entirely. The soda I ordered was clearly not monitored for replacement and was soda water with a hit of syrup. I observed another customer order mozzarella sticks and receive a small cardboard tray that was nearly filled with marinara sauce, which was wasteful at best. My overall impression gave me the feeling that the facility is being operated at the lowest possible cost point. While the skating itself seemed enjoyable for the kids, the lack of investment in the facility, food service, and event accommodations seems likely to limit repeat visits, food sales, and party bookings. There appears to be significant untapped potential if more attention were given to maintenance, presentation, and customer experience. Not sure the market supports the idea of further investment but there seems to be a lot left to want here from a consumer perspective.

My 8-year-old brought his inside. Instead of giving us a heads-up when we walked in, the staff waited until we were halfway through our game to abruptly shut off our lane, citing a "no outside food/drink" policy. We pack the water bottle away completely without drinking from it. Instead of acting reasonably, the young woman in charge absolutely refused to turn our lane back on. She seemed to genuinely relish the bizarre power trip she was on. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects families and its customers.

Especially the orchestra, the nuns and the father! We are so very happy to see the Athens bringing back a lot of the golden era musicals like they used to have in 2017 and 18. The children, and all of the performers as a whole were amazing! I enjoyed it so much that I am bringing my mom today! I really hope that the theatre will be bringing back musicals like "hello Dolly", "The King and I", "Guys and Dolls", "Oklahoma", "Brigadoon", "The Music Man", "Gypsy", "My Fair Lady", and "Fiddler On The Roof" to name a few. We love seeing those musicals and bringing the younger generation to see it live. My niece enjoyed it the last time I brought her and it's different than seeing it on a DVD. This is not a safe environment for gymnasts. I'm sharing based on direct observations and personal…read moreexperience. My daughter quit this gym due to emotional abuse from the head coach. No level of skill progression justifies compromising a child's well-being. I take accountability as a parent and wish I had removed her sooner, but conditions worsened mid-season when transferring wasn't realistic. Intimidation: Retaliation - Multiple gymnasts said they tried to leave but were "blackballed" with negative comments from the head coach, forcing them to stay or quit gymnastics. Unnecessary screaming -Witnessed compulsory gymnasts break down in tears after being yelled at for failing skills. Fear-based control - The head coach stated he kicked out the cheer team, could get rid of the director, and that no one (including USAG) could hold him accountable. Emotional Misconduct: Humiliation - At a meet, an assistant coach pointed at athletes and asked if they were embarrassed after beam falls--despite the team placing 2nd overall. Humiliation - Gymnasts were forced to remain on events for extended periods after mistakes, especially following meets. Mind games - My daughter was falsely accused of ripping her grips to avoid competing. Replacement grips were returned too late, requiring a paid private just to break in the grips so she could compete. Ignoring - The head coach often refused to engage with my child and even sent her home without explanation. Fear and intimidation - When my child followed instructions to report illness, the head coach threatened to remove her from the team for "disrespect." Belittling achievements - Head coach told my daughter her 9.600 bar score was a "fluke" and undeserved after seasons of struggle with bars. Verbal abuse - Athletes were called embarrassing, a waste of time, embarrassment to their generation, and worse. Negative talk - The coach spoke poorly about other gymnasts during privates. Minimizing/Denying Care: Basic needs denied - My child was ignored when asked for simple first aid for her leg during bars. Isolation: Controlling friendships - The head coach told certain gymnasts not to talk to or be friends with others. No team support - Sometimes gymnasts were discouraged from helping and cheering for each other and were advised to stop or be sent to rope. Division - The coach openly said to gymnast that he " did not like my child and she was annoying". Unhealthy comparisons - The head coach frequently compared gymnasts, saying only certain athletes were "college material" and asking others why they could not perform like specific teammates. Using Parents: Blame shifting - Parents are led to believe issues are the child's fault rather than the environment. Physical Misconduct: Painful stretching - I observed gymnasts pushed into painful stretches while crying. Accusations of faking injuries - My child was told her doctor's note was fake. Toxic culture - Families fear retaliation, blacklisting or being forced to quit; prior complaints to the director brought no change. Management Issues: Public humiliation - Staff falsely claimed my child's practice leo hadn't arrived in front of the team over a near-due payment. Public ridicule - I was criticized in a group chat for a misapplied payment. Unauthorized debits - Cash was accepted for snacks, yet card on file was still charged. Inaccurate invoices - Billing errors were frequent and caused repeated confusion and delays. Escalations: Failure to address concerns - The director was addressed about the head coach's behavior; the response focused only on fees and immediate disenrollment, with no concern for athlete welfare. Exploitation - The director used a silhouette image of my daughter on shirts supposedly for team support but then sold them for profit. Privacy concerns -Staff posted a video exposing my daughter inappropriately and shared her full name publicly on social media, putting her safety at risk. I do not recommend this gym. Athlete safety, respect, and ethical coaching should be the standard--not the exception.
