Purchased online and checked in pretty quickly. The skate line was super long, but also moved fast. We went on a Sunday in a holiday weekend. Rink was not too crowded, definitely cold so bring layers and bundle- would recommend a hat and gloves. Snack bar available for light treats, cocoa, and some alcoholic beverages. Cocoa is super hot, so pro tip would be to order some before mid way through/zamboni time to allow the kids to actually drink it in break. Restaurant was now open, cannot wear skates but has clear views of both rinks and you can get your drink in a plastic cup to enjoy rink side as well. Food options seemed super reasonably priced as well. Cost for two to skate was close to $50. Included the skate rentals but if you want a walker it would be another $10. Fun time out with the family for some festive activities. read more

I went to see my friend, Maddie play with her team(ice hockey), the Sloths. They're undefeated. They won last week d against their opponents 8-1! It's a co-Ed team. I was impressed with this center that is available to the people of Jacksonville. I stopped and ate at the restaurant because I was 45 minutes early before the game started. I had a margarita as well. The food, drink and Waitress was good. Her service was impeccable. Then after the wings, I had to go to the restroom and wash my hands. Clean bathrooms! I look forward to Maddie's next game. Great and plentiful parking available as well. Pros:everything Cons:it was a wee bit chilly in there. If you go wear a jacket or sweater. Recommend? Never in my life did I think I'd be giving a 5 star review to a little restaurant inside a community ice rink - but here we are! First, I have to compliment the staff, especially our server, Ro, who was warm, welcoming, and super helpful and knowledgeable. Interactions with other staff was minimal, but everyone was polite and acknowledged me. For the appetizers - highly recommend the double dipper so you can sample both the kidney bean hummus and zaddy dip. The kidney bean hummus is a step above regular old hummus, so if you're a hummus fan, you'll enjoy this. And the Zaddy Dip is a fun spin and delicious spin on baba ganoush. Get this especially if you're a garlic fan. I went with just a half size grilled caesar salad for my main, with added chicken. I would describe this almost like a Caesar version of a wedge salad. The romaine heart was crispy and delicious - and grilling it adds an incredible flavor. The dressing was so creamy and delicious. The chicken was perfectly cooked. The heirloom tomatoes were a nice little add on. The cornbread croutons were just one more way to level up this salad. I will compare every Caesar salad I eat from here on out to this one. I wish I had gone in with a bigger appetite to try more things. I will for sure be back to eat my way thru the rest of the menu. Since it's an ice rink I suspect I will find myself cooling off in there for lunches often this summer. Definitely a great place to come chill out, watch some hockey (or your kids skate?) and have some good food. First time here since they changed the name and upgraded the place. What a nice change! Kids has so much fun. The rental skates are much nicer than they were years ago but bring your own pair to save $5 rental fee. Public skating schedule is on their website. We opted for the 530-730p slot which was well attended! About an hour in, everyone gets off the ice while the machine smooths the floor back out. Online reservations- super convenient. They do start selling tickets on site 30 minutes prior to the scheduled slot so arrive a bit earlier to avoid most of the crowd. Walkers- these can't be reserved online if you opt to buy your tickets online. On-site cafe- definitely Rinky Dink. The line got really long about an hour into the public session. There is a vending machine for drinks if you want to avoid the line. Bonus- music soundtrack was great! read more

Wow! What a hidden gem! We came here to ice skate with our four year old daughter for the first time and were very pleasantly surprised. The facility has been renovated recently and is a great spot! There are two rinks, locker rooms, clean bathroom, a cafe/ snack bar, and a full restaurant and bar. If you pay to public skate then you get a discount on the food and drinks at Icebreakers. Our daughter had a great time and we will definitely be back. The food and service as also great! Burgers are huge and wings are tasty! read more

Our kids have a blast on the ice and in the e sports lounge while we get to have dinner and enjoy the awesome atmosphere of the new bar and restaurant area. We love this place! This is for the bar at the Igloo exclusively. Their beer is priced like it is for being at a NFL game or concert. On top of that, the staff at the bar seems disinterested in service. I've been there multiple times where I've been given my first beer and the staff won't check in on you until after your beer is empty (sometimes not even then). Went there with a friend for an iceman game. We ordered our beer and we wanted food. Despite us clearly looking at the menu and making eye contact the bartender would not walk over to us. Had to flag him down to see if we could order. The food actually is pretty good but in my opinion the place is being weighed down by high beer prices and poor bar service. read more

Icemen Watch Party in the bar area April 28, 2023. Full capacity crowd that basically arrived around the same time - always a challenge to any food and beverage service business. The venue is laid out well - the main screen is available to most patrons and several televisions are available to the side tables. The staff hustled and were courteous and conscientious. The food was very good and reasonably priced; beer specials made the price reasonable. The kitchen had the staff hold orders for 30+ minutes to deal with the backlog which is not uncommon given the crowds common arrival. But, the tables don't have numbers on them; therefore, every order was brought out and had to be discussed with the servers just to figure out where it went. This is a fundamental flaw in their operation that wastes an enormous amount of time as well as causes disruption to their staff. Food Service 101 would have tables numbered, food and beverage tickets duly annotated with table numbers and dedicated kitchen runners who can whisk hot food directly from the kitchen to the appropriate table while servers take care of their customers and manage the drink orders. Also, they had meal specials listed on the Icemen website that were available only to 904 Club Members which wasn't clear in the posting. Have a common menu to streamline operations - if you want to take care of 904 Club members, give a discount - don't have multiple menus with popular food items only available to a select few. We'll be back, but the Bar - like the Icemen - need to improve their game. read more

I would definitely say the place was funner before the icemen renovated it to look more modern. There's not very many places to sit so on a busy day there will be no open seats. The place does look newer but I'd definitely prefer the old rink. The times now are very confusing they use to have public sessions 8-10 on Friday's and 7-10 on Saturdays but now only have the Friday one, we use to come every weekend and the lights and music definitely made it way funner but now they don't have any of the disco lights, definitely shouldn't of renovated it. read more

Awesome rink for public skating and hockey. The highlight of my nights is Lanisha at the bar! I spend 3-4 days a week at the rink while my son has hockey practice and she always makes sure my day ends on a positive note! She's got my favorites ready to go when I walk in and makes sure the food i fresh and perfect every time for us. read more

We arrived with our 5 year old who has never skated. We have never been to this place before. After waiting in line we told the guy that checked us out she has never skated. We had no idea that walkers cost $5 extra, there was no sign at our line and this was not offered or communicated to us. After waiting in line, then waiting in line for skates and putting them on, then we waited in line for a walker. We were then told they were $5 and we had to go wait in line AGAIN at the front to get one. My husband took our baby in the stroller and patiently waited in line for a walker, after 30 minutes he was told they had no more walkers and he could wait another 5-15 minutes to see if one was maybe available. This was not the case as there were plenty of walkers available. I asked to speak to a manager and explained that he just waited in line twice. She was not at all helpful. I explained that this was my 5 year olds first time and she could not skate without a walker. My five year old suggested we get our money back and go to chicken cheese. Proud mom moment, but disappointed in the lack of customer service, basic human interaction lack of skills that we encountered. We then waited in line again to get our money back. I will not be back this is an example of how not to run a business. Super disappointed. read more
