Enjoyed a family outing to Ormond Lanes on a Friday afternoon. We didn't make a reservation, but we arrived around 3 in the afternoon and got two lanes next to each other. They must have over 20 lanes. We had one with a bumper for the kids and a regular lane for adults. It's located in a plaza that is shared with a skating rink and had ample parking out front when we arrived. Several options here - you can pay per player per game($5-10) or by time (an hour or 90 minutes). We paid $39 for 90 minutes for each lane with a maximum of 7 players per game. Shoe rentals were $5 or so, and socks available for purchase. The setup was easy with many fun themes(including the option to take selfies) for your the game board. Balls came back quickly. There is a small arcade, birthday room for parties, and a cafe and full bar(opens at 5 but they serve drinks you can order from the cafe before then. Staff were all friendly. Our lane malfunctioned a couple times and they added back time when our original time ended so we could finish the game. They also have TVs and let us put on the football games we wanted to watch by our lanes. Nothing fancy here but good, clean fun. Great family, date, friend, or solo outing! read more

Absolutely terrible experience and incredibly rude staff. We brought our kids here to bowl, and like anyone living in the 95-degree Florida heat, we carry personal water bottles. My 8-year-old brought his inside. Instead of giving us a heads-up when we walked in, the staff waited until we were halfway through our game to abruptly shut off our lane, citing a "no outside food/drink" policy. We pack the water bottle away completely without drinking from it. Instead of acting reasonably, the young woman in charge absolutely refused to turn our lane back on. She seemed to genuinely relish the bizarre power trip she was on. Save your money and go somewhere that actually respects families and its customers. read more

This bowling alley has been around for decades and has always been the go-to place for fun. However, recently it has gone downhill, bad. The AC is barely ever working. The lanes are black and sticky. Not sure when the last time they have been cleaned. Numerous ceiling tiles hanging. Clearly there are leaks. There are always issues with multiple lanes not working. I know a lot of regulars spend their hard-earned money there, especially the League bowlers. I can't begin to imagine what they spend there, weekly. Please make this place better. It is not a good scene for Ormond Beach. read more

Ormond lanes has been in its location for a long time and definitely shows it. The bowling alleys lanes itself are nice with decent conditions, you can definitely see the wear and tear on the approach and seating areas. The arcade needs a little TLC since most of the machine were either off or damaged. The one unique feature this house has is the Laser tag for party's and for a fun little play day. The bar had fair prices and the usually beer and liquor selection you would expect to see at a bowling alley. Ormond lanes was packed when we were there which is a fantastic sign but with that the house needs some love, with the rise in popularity in bowling again hopefully we can see that be put into this classic house. read more

You just have to love when a business doesn't update their website and/or the high school/college age staff they hire decide to take things into their own hands and make stuff up. This past Sunday we were across the street having dinner at the Piranha and decided that bowling would be a nice way to end the night. We scanned the parking lot and overall it looked fairly dead so why not? Now, if you take a brief spin on OL's website it clearly says that they are open normal business hours and that normal business hours on a Sunday are that they close at 10pm. Seems easy right? Nay-Nay. We get to the counter and are told that we had 45 minutes to maybe play a game if we could fit it in since they closed at 9:30pm. 9:30? The dude at the counter said he had no idea what the website says but they're closing at 9:30, period, but he would give us "a break" and not charge for shoes if we decided to play. Allllrighty then. We decided to speed through a game and overall it was neither remarkable or unremarkable. Basically it's the same type of bowling experience you would get anywhere short of a few of those hipster-yuppie places where you rent lanes for hundreds of dollars an hour and eat overpriced truffle oil tater tots. The $24 plus tax price for one game is steep but the pricing here seems crazy high in general. Overall it was good enough for a one off but meh on ever wanting to come back. read more

We are visiting family in Florida and wanted to take the kids bowling. We went in at 10:30 on and were told we couldn't bowl as they were closing at 11:00pm "since all the lanes were leaving at 11pm." They were many busy lanes. If a business is listed open until midnight on a Friday night, it's expected to be open especially since it was so busy. I asked to speak to a manager to which the reply was "there's no manager on duty until Monday and I could speak with Teresa then." Well I hope you're reading this now Teresa. It's unfortunate to close a business so early on a busy Friday night. When we were sitting in the parking lot figuring out what to do next we saw other people turned away as well. Bummer. Lanes are good. Prices are OK. Staff is great. Only wish I was closer than 70 miles from it. Can't always get a lane because it's so busy sometimes. I hope they never go to that string bowling crap. read more

My experience here was sub par, to say the least. Started off bad with the rates, they were trying to charge me 15$ a person (5 person party) , but neglected to tell me about the flyer on the counter stating 35$ flat rate for an hour. After asking about that, we were told that it would be 35 plus 3.75$ for shoes per person. Which was understandable, should come out to around 51$ and around 10 per person. I was then told the total was 63$, and was confused and asked how that was possible. After some waiting, the total was then made to 51$, we were happy. Upon arriving our lane and entering in our names, the lane would not drop the pins but sat there doing nothing. Keep in mind we only paid for an hour, so time was ticking. Nobody was around to ask for help so after asking the counter for help and more time waiting, they fixed the lane. This happened 2 more times during our game, all eating time. During the game I went to get a pitcher of beer as one does, and saw a miller tap and asked for a that. The pitcher was a third full before it started dispensing straight foam, and they said they were out of miller. I saw bud light and said that would do. The bartender then said they were out of that too, so out of process of elimination my (only) drink of choice would be yeungling, not my favorite beer but I didn't mind. After sitting back at my lane and tasting the beer, something was definitely off with the beer. The carbonation wasn't right, and it tasted like Penney's and wood, ( I understand lagers have different tastes but I enjoy yeungling from time to time and this wasn't right). Between this and the lane continuously breaking, I was tired of taking time away from the game and just finished the game and left. Maybe this was a fluke, but definitely not a good experience. read more

This is the best alley around good oil patterns consistent.. staff is absolutely amazing and I must commend a young girl by the name of Kortney had alot of questions being new to the area and she was very knowledgeable and helpful to get me pointed in the right directions with summer leagues and a fair rate for some practice games.. my group really enjoyed our outing to this alley! we are from out of town and just had the urge to bowl, and we were not disappointed by this place! we only got a few drinks and fries, but the fries were great! compared to our hometown bowling alley, this place has a lot more amenities and a fun vibe to it! read more

Very dissapointed! I bought a groupon for $40 and tried to use it, when i got there the staff laughed and said "you didnt read the fine print!" I was not able to use the groupon on the same day i bought it! My son really wanted to bowl, so i ended up paying over $30 for an hour of bowling! The only reason they got 1 star is because my son had fun..but what kid wouldnt on his first time bowling? Lesson learned with groupon and ormond lanes! read more

This is by far the nicest bowling alley in the Ormond area. They have great specials for almost every day of the week and it's very clean and the lanes are kept up nicely. I did however have an unpleasant experience with their pro shop. I recently got a new bowling ball for the first time in 8 years while I was there for the Thanksgiving holiday and I had to be re-measured. When my bowling ball came in, the measurements were way off. I took it to a place in Orlando (where I live) to have it fixed where they did a fantastic job. But now my brand new ball has a plug in it and doesn't look so brand new anymore :( So needless to say I will not be returning to Ormond Lanes if I need a new bowling ball. read more

The front desk Jared was absolutely awesome and had such clear communication and able to help so many people at one time. He definitely deserves a raise or bonus with the great job that he does. Sadly, Its the only bowling joint in Daytona. With all the $$ they bring in, you'd think they would do some fixer uppers. Some lanes tend to break down, if i bowl with my child the side guards must be up at all times, arcade tends to have a lot of out of order games, parking lot could be well lighted, and its always cold. read more

Wouldn't accept a perfectly valid ID when my friend went to buy a beer. First the lady took my ID, played 1000 questions with me about it. My friend, who looks a little younger than me gave her his ID. It's clearly him in the photo, and he's even older than me, but she would not take it. Just rude about it too. Then our lane broke. I've been a patron of Ormond Lanes since I was a teenager. I appreciate the fact that they take care of the lanes, the shoes, and the equipment. They offer a full service bar and even have a snack bar that offers all of the usual bar-fare type food choices. They also have karaoke on Friday and Saturday nights inside their bar. The DJ is awesome and he has such a wide variety of musical choices- ranging from the 60's to present day. Not only that, but they have a lot of TVs which is great for watching the game or race (whichever you prefer). All of the employees that work there are friendly and the service consistently gets better every week. read more

Been going to Ormond Lanes since the Strickland's owed the business in the 90s. Both my sister and I went to Tiny Town, as well. Such a shame new management is incompetent and rude. Going to be difficult keeping your customers and employees around with such a bad attitude!! Also notice the top 5 star review mention karaoke, which they no longer have. I Used To Bowl There Colorama And On a League . I Had Various Problems With The Staff But Not Enough To Quit . Someties They Would Get Nasty , But They Would Change Out Staff Like You Change Your Clothes . No Way To Get To Know Anyone . The Food Is Outragously Priced And So Is General Bowling . Just Wanting To Bowl For A Few Games Or A few Hours? It Could Cost You Big Bucks !!! Which Is Stupid . If They Made It Resonable More People Would Come And The Money would Pile Up . The Other Problem Is Many Of The Lanes Break Down Freaquently And That Is A Big Problem Especially If There Are Alot Of People There Because It Takes Forever For Them To Get To Your Lane To Fix It . Only bowling center in town so of course they will be overpriced. The food is your average concession stand food selection with prices $$$. A family of three cost us around 25. Lanes are always breaking down. Leagues are practically every night so good luck finding a time to bowl. On a league your paying 8.50 for a pitcher of beer. Non league member a pitcher is 12.50 and it's a small pitcher. The price to bowl is expensive, your better off finding something better to do. read more

The staff is amazing!!! I took my 4yo autistic son bowling, along with both of his behavior techs (because we haven't been out in a while). I called earlier in the week and spoke to Josh, who said it would not be a prob (being close to an exit and away from super big summer camp groups in the middle of the day) and to just call the day of and ask for mike. Mike was amazing too and I forgot the other kids name who was great too!! They had us set up perfectly when we got there. This will not be the last time we go to ormond lanes!!! read more

This place has broken foul lines and their laser tag closed at 10:00 and It was 9:00 and they wouldn't let us do it so we told the people we were with and then the workers were talking about us! Plus the sink in the ladies room Was broken! And the toy shop was almost all sold out! read more

Lanes are great. I had fun today with my family but a bald employee has been rude the last 2 times we've been there. The communication between the boss and the employees is unnacceptable and their website said they had the 3 hr deal and the rude bald employee said no. I've never had a bad experience at Ormond Lanes. It is easily the best bowling alley in the area. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable and seem to genuinely care that you enjoy yourself. The place is kept clean and the lanes are well maintained. The food and drinks are good and not too badly priced. They've recently made renovations including laser tag, a bigger arcade with prizes for you to redeem tickets for, and new TVs. They have decent specials for almost every day of the week (Thursday is the best - $5 for all you can bowl, including shoes), and a great family-friendly atmosphere. Overpriced for the low quality experience. The machines do not place the correct amount of pins that are left. The scoring is off multiple times we got a strike or spare it didn't give us the correct points. The young teen that said our lane should be fixed was wrong and it kept acting up. The machine in our lane took longer to place the pins. Overall this is the worst bowling ally I've ever been to. read more

Either they do an awesome job cleaning and maintaining the place, or your typically bowling alley customer just don't come here. Stopped here for a date night on a Wednesday. Called ahead of time to make sure they would have lanes open. They were pretty busy but staff was friendly, and we got a lane right away. The bowling lanes were new, and clean. Really impressed; nicest lanes I've ever been to. We had dinner prior, or we would have ordered a pizza. The food looked fantastic! We were in the area on vacation. We decided to go bowling and found Ormond Lanes. It was very crowded with the Boston Football Team, yet Jared got us a lane right away, and told us about the specials. We were able to eat and bowl for a reasonable price for a party of 7. We were also served very quickly by Austin, he also helped us with setting up our lane. They were both very helpful, and made our time there fun. The service was great! read more
