This review is only for the Clubhouse at LPGA, not the golf course. We threw my Mother an 80th birthday party here, and everything was absolutely perfect. We were easily able to discuss our plans over the phone, and make all arrangements, including adding turkey-carving and omelet-making to our brunch. They were also extremely accommodating with regards to adding extra tables so we could set up a table for cards & picture signing, a table for the cake, and a table for our own photo booth. Jackie was our contact person, and she was there the day of the event, making sure that everything was better than we had even asked for. She went above and beyond by bringing guava juice to add to our mimosa bar, so everyone could try something fun. The manager in charge of the food also did an excellent job, making sure that everything remained well-maintained and stocked. I loved how Jackie and her team stepped up when it came time to cut and distribute my Mom's cake to the 60+ guests in attendance. We had a surprise party here for my Mother when she turned 60, and this was for her 80th, so hopefully this place will still be going strong so we can hold her 100th here as well! read more

Today in the clubhouse a group of members in the clubhouse at LPGA International were continually making racist festers and comments about Asian people, including continually using a broken English Asian accent. My son who is asian was with me. After putting up with it for about 10 min I went to their table to ask them to please knock it off. They then started to argue like they were not doing it. One member got in my face about it after being called out about the blatant racism. After elevated argument myself and my son walked away and they kept going. Management then rushed in to try to deescalate the situation which only made it worse due to the fact that they came to the two us and bypassed the group of about 15 club members. As we are disappointed in the racism of club members, we are just as or more disappointed in management in the protection of the club members versus the visitors that the racism was directed in general. I do not recommend or will I ever go back to this course. It's sad and disappoint the the LPGA is connected by name to this course. read more

LPGA International has 36 holes of world-class golf designed by Arthur Hills and Rees Jones. Each are distinct in design and play, but are both great for all skill levels. Today I played the Hills course and having played the Jones course many years ago, the Hills course was my favorite of the two. Jones felt Links style and the Hills course designed by Arthur Hills actually had many hills. Even without any knowledge of the course it was still a very enjoyable layout. Great scenery with cart paths winding thru woods and just enough water hazards. The traps needed some work after the weekend rain but thankfully I only found one trap today. The Hills course used to be called the Legends and it was never boring. The greens were pretty small so it was a great challenge. Greens rolled consistent so very good conditions overall. The Jones course used to be called the Champions - it's mostly flat with no trees at all. I would consider it the easier of the two courses if compared side by side. Either way you can't go wrong playing here. Great staff as well. read more

Regarding the HOA the homes are nice from a vast range of prices. There have been issues as with any HOA but my mother-in-law enjoyed owning a home in here. Yard and shrubs all taken care of from the HOA. Nice neighborhood without the "55 up" rules across the street at Latitudes. The clubhouse has been very nice during events and the food is classic Country Club fair and prices. My wife has even said she would rather down size to this neighborhood rather than Latitudes when that day comes. read more

Incredible practice facility and the range line seems to be moved often enough that you'll always have fresh grass. The Hills course was challenging, narrow in a lot of places and over 7000k yards from the back tees. Greens were a little slow and I personally prefer faster putting but it didn't ruin the day. Great facilities, well manicured tees, fairways and greens. The greens were true just took a little getting used to on the speed. I'm working in the area for a few weeks and I'll be back to play the Jones course. When I arrived early I wasn't sure where any of the facilities or first tee were located. I had both staff and other players (members perhaps) who helped me find my way around. If I lived closer I'd have a membership for sure. read more

There is absolutely no reason to play the Hills course anymore. They have devastated and ruined the look, feel and quality. The course is in terrible shape, has tons of loud equipment the continually interferes in your game and the overall shape of the layout has been ruined. They have taken one of the great mid Florida tracks and turned it into a mid level muni. Even the food shack doesn't have food in the cart girl never shows up read more

On this particular day we played the Hills course a signature Arthur Hill design that is exceptional. This place is special and plays to all skill levels. The greens set up are as close as you would ever get an opportunity to play on in regards to the greens the pros play. Don't under estimate the reads they are true and today they were very very fast and a little humbling to start. Fortunately I enjoy fast greens so this part of my game was the most enjoyable. This course is in the center of a huge complex of housing developments and is tucked away nicely so when driving in from either entrance north or south you would never expect the courses to be so isolated. The course is extremely well maintained and the staff was friendly and provided excellent tips for managing the course. The pace was great we never felt rushed, afterward we enjoyed a few cocktails in the clubhouse and the staff there was also first rate nothing fell short of our expectations from the time we arrived until we departed I would highly recommend treating yourself to this great venue here in Daytona Beach. read more

Just playedthe Jones course from the blues. It was long and kinda tough. A few blind shots. Greens were just punched so kinda slow and bumpy but still good greens. Fairways were in good very good shape. In all, fun track and good price at about $30. Excellent price for this kind of beautiful course. I highly recommend. read more

We were charged the top rate to play ($95) but were not informed before play the greens had just been aerated and sanded.on the Hill course. After the round we complained to a rather complacent response. We were told had we waited another 45 minutes we could have played the other course where the greens had not been aerated or sanded. But we weren't offered that option till after the fact. (Your group could have played here instead, had we told you about that option) We were not offered any kind of discount or refund. If you are a tourist, be careful making tee times here. For us, we didn't get what was advertised. read more

This review is about The Grille. Food: Overall it was good, but the chef and kitchen staff need to learn the basics, such as how to recognize an unripe avocado, and then how to properly handle such situations if the food is not up to what should be high standards for a club restaurant (either send somebody to the grocery store to get ripe or fresh ingredients or let the customer know that the kitchen is out of certain items or it received an unacceptable shipment). Service: Extremely poor from start to finish, and the management was even worse both for allowing such staff to work for them and the way it attempted to handle the situation (by offering to take off money for only the unripe ingredient, not a percentage off or some other standard way of rectifying the matter, as well as offering only a $5 coupon for another visit). This is the treatment I would not be surprised to encounter at a Denny's. It would be unacceptable there, it is inexcusable at a club restaurant. If The Grille has such razor-thin profit margins that it needs to nickel-and-dime its customers, then it needs to revisit its business model. Otherwise The Grille needs to learn how to treat its customers properly. read more

My Aunt had her wedding reception here so I can't critic the golf course but I can review what I thought of the wedding reception building (it might help people who want to have their wedding here). So the pro's: Nice building from the outside, when you go inside the bathroom is right there on the left if I remember correctly and the ball room is to the right. The ballroom interior design and table layout was for the most part nice, the room was nice with a lot of light coming through the windows. The service was nothing special, they just delivered the food lol. I got to go out to the balcony after the wedding and it was really nice out there while seeing the sunset. They should have designed the wall to open up to the balcony/patio. That would have been more modern and cool. The neg: The ballroom is small. If you have more than 100 people for your wedding I don't recommend here. We were all squished into here and I couldn't barely get out of my chair, walk between other tables and chairs to get to the bathroom. Because the ballroom is small the cake even had to be in another room! And there wasn't even room for a dance floor because there were so many of us in there. Overall, nice little location for a wedding, but don't recommend it for a big wedding, the building may not be big enough. read more

My daughter was recently hired as a Members Relations Coordinator for the LPGA. She was extremely excited about this position as she has, in the past, spent lots of volunteer time at the LPGA in their Girls Golf Program along with many local charity events. Unfortunately, the new position did not last very long. The first week of her job, her son stared his first week in first grade. Her third day on the job the school called because her son was sick and he needed to be pick up from the infirmary. She worked over half the day, left and took her son to a walk in clinic that afternoon and his pediatrician the following morning. He has swollen glands and a fever and was prescribed an antibiotic and a note to not return back to school for one day. She contacted her immediate supervisor to let her know and was not messaged back. My daughter is a single mom and her back up is usually my husband and he was out of town. I managed to get the day off from my job to stay home with my grandson knowing how important the first week on a new job is. She contacted her immediate supervisor, again, to let her know she was going to be able to come in and she messaged her back telling her not come in as she would be unavailable most off the day in offsite meetings. The next morning the new General Manager, Corey Hamlin, called and terminated her over the phone which was very rude. He did not ask how her son was, let alone let her explain she had doctors instructions, in writing, saying her son needed another day off due to illness before returning to school. And, furthermore, she was able to come in as a babysitter had been arranged. Mr. Hamlin basically called her at 6am telling her he wanted to make it "short and sweet" and that she was terminated and her check will be in the mail. I sure hope Corey Hamlin is able to step up and be a great General Manager of the LPGA's members to make up for his lack of empathy and understanding to a single mom employee with a sick son. I guess the LPGA is a nice place to volunteer, but you so don't want to work there especially as long as Corey Hamlin in the General Manager. read more

Attended a meeting and the food was so dry couldn't eat it. And then the wait staff didn't even clear the dishes off the table. Not good!

Had a wonderful day on the golf course at LPGA. From the time we stepped out of our car, till we pulled up to the 18th green, to the clubhouse restaurant. The staff is outstanding, service in the snack bar and restaurant was fast, the good was great. We've been staying in St. Augustine on vacation and decided to make the 45 minute drive down to LPGA. So worth it. If you love golf, you will love this course. We will definately be back. read more

Just returned from our 12th trip to LPGA International. I have always said that these two courses are always in excellent shape and a fair test of golf for the mid handicapper. We had a group of 28 and Kristen Hanson took care of us as she usually does. The entire staff at LPGA are courteous, friendly and go out of their way to help us in any manner that is needed. I have been doing this trip for 25 years and I can honestly say do not want to go anywhere else on our trip each year as Kristen and her staff make our trip so enjoyable. Most of our group is over 50 and on windy days either course plays a true test of golf. We spend a week in Daytona and play all 6 days of our golf at the LPGA courses. A real value read more

I just left the golf course today and was paired up with three nice guys and T tried to enjoy myself in spite if the way I was treated. Upon arriving I stopped at the bag drop and was greeted by this arrogant ,smartazz ignorant starter. I asked wear you go and check in and he had this, "the big sign to the right of you that says "Pro Shop" smart comment. I still gave him a couple bucks because I don't let small minded individuals bother me. I went into the pro shop and both ladies were nonchalant and one looked at me awful strange that made me uncomfortable. I got to the first tee and met my group and the starter starts saying 'come on up and introduce yourself , like I don't know this, I had to put my bag on the cart first. He start going on about some kind of stroke assessment he charges, I looked at him looked at him like he was was a fool. And he is. I Will NEVER EVER go to this place again. If you are black I wouldn't ever go here. I'm always dressed to the nines and carry myself the same way. This place SUCKS..!! read more

My wife and I stopped in for dinner and drinks after looking at a home to purchase in the community. The bar and restaurant were almost empty with only one other group of two gentelman at the bar. We sat at the bar and asked if we could have menus, we ordered our drinks and were served promptly. that was the end of the pleasent experience. We looked at the menus for a few moments, closed them and set them aside, it was 10 more minutes before one of the 5 staff members who were no less than 10 feet away, talking and watching the telivisions noticed and asked if we would like to order, by this time I was too discusted to be bothered so I politly declined, she just walked away. 10 min later we were both finished with our drinks, not one of the 5 staff members even noticed despite me staring at them continuosly hoping to catch thier attention, I would wave an arm, even try saying excuse me in a appropriate tone, still they couldnt interupt thier own conversation, I finaly had to call out "HEY can I get some help!!" before one of them finally broke away and cashed us out. I guess the built in18% gratuity built into every purchase affords the staff the ability to not care. We will probably purchase the house we looked at and will most definatly golf at the club but I gauruntee we will NEVER bother stepping foot into the Grill again, $16 for 2 well drinks a little expensive for BAD, inconsiderate service. read more
