Great place to hold an outdoor graduation. Plenty of parking, beautiful grounds & clean stadium seating. Easily accessible off of the RKF bridge, 13mins from our side of the Bronx. There is plenty of signage directing people to the stadium and the different entrances.

Once you've arrived, this is a great stadium with a fantastic staff and plenty of parking, bus route and City Bike dock We had our graduating class ceremony here at the end of the pandemic and the group was handled beautiful. Field is well manicured and the blue plastic stadium type seats are comfortable. There are tons of birds in the eves above that you can't see but they are pretty vocal.. I would create some feature to keep them out and prevent droppings on the seats below, which we needed to prep for our families. Morning gets full shade and by afternoon the sun is straight on the racetrack type bandstand seating. Keep that in mind.

Really nice state of the art stadium for track and field events. Icahn Stadium is a terrific venue for hosting local, national and international track and field events, including Olympic training and trials. I have been here and it offers wonderful views in a spacious setting. There is a standard 400-meter Mondo surface running track, with covered seating with and views of the East River and Manhattan skyline. Easy to get to as it is part of the Randall's Island sports group.

Mighty Milers honoring all the boroughs of NYC. Manhattan, Queens, Bronx and of course Brooklyn. Wait wasn't there a fifth?

Came here recently for a field trip and my students had a blast. Icahn Stadium can host track and field related events. We came on National Running day for a trip hosted by the Mighty Milers program. The kids got to run around the track several times and then partook in some fun activities set up all around. I got to check them setting up for Governors ball for this weekend too. The state of the art stadium isn't large but gets the job done for its purpose. Clean, sleek and looks brand new.

Incredible spacious stadium fantastic for a large track event. We were there for a championship track event and the bleachers were pretty packed but the seating and flow of everything was still comfortable despite the large number of people. The stadium and seats are well maintained, in good condition. Amazing views of the track wherever you sit, as well as a background view of upper manhattan. They have restrooms with ample stalls, concession stands and a barbecue where they grill hamburgers and hot dogs. Security and employees directing people were friendly and helpful.

    Cute name!

I've been here several times to see my nephew run in track meets. The stadium is great for hosting track meets. The grounds are well-maintained, and the stands are kept clean. It also helps that the seats are reasonably comfortable. Since it is an outdoor stadium, you will be subject to the elements. I've sat through cold days in March, and during my last visit, the meet was postponed due to overly-hot temperatures. The concession stand is pretty good, and the prices are very cheap when compared to other sports venues. Compared to Madison Square Garden or Yankee Stadium, the concession prices are practically a steal. There is free parking. Recently, there has been some construction, which has cut the number of parking spaces. I don't know how much longer the construction will last, but it is, hopefully, a temporary situation. Unfortunately, the stadium is close to the sewage treatment plant, and, depending on where the wind blows, it can stink, especially on hot days. While unpleasant, the smell isn't too bad (I've smelled worse in NYC), and it usually dissipates in 15 minutes or so.

One of the best parts of the event was how they introduced the elite runners. They turned the lights off in the arena, announced each athlete individually, and they ran out onto the track with sparks shooting up. That whole presentation was fire and really made the moment feel special for the athletes and the crowd. The atmosphere was great and you could feel the excitement in the building. My only complaint is about some of the staff (not all). I had been sitting in a section for over four hours after being told by one worker that it was fine to sit there. Later on, a few other workers came over and told me I had to move. It wasn't even the request that bothered me--it was the way it was delivered. When you're dealing with adults, especially paying guests who've been there for hours, it's all about how you communicate. At one point it felt like they were all teaming up like Voltron instead of just getting a supervisor to clear things up. Situations like that can easily be avoided with better customer service and communication. Needless to say I didn't go anywhere until my daughter ran off the principal. Aside from that situation, the event itself was great. The competition, the energy in the building, and the way they highlight the elite athletes made it a really memorable experience.

The warmup area is way too small, so from the athlete's perspective, that made it very hard to prepare for the race. I ended up running laps outside with my athlete to get her warmed up, which many others were doing, so even that was hard. I get space is limited in NYC, but with 3 floors, they could have done a better job providing space for the athletes to prepare for their race. My runner lived the track itself, it was a great track.

Our first order of business was visiting monument park right as gates opened at 5:30 since it closes before first pitch. Best access is entering in through Gate 8, and surprisingly there was no line for a Friday evening game! This is a must for any baseball fan and you can see all of the retired Yankee numbers along with a monument plaque for greats. We also had a good field and dining experience. Tried the angry lobster roll, grub and tub chicken bucket, and ice cream chicken bucket. The chicken was alright, nothing too amazing but it is a lot of fries and a good amount of tendies. Pretty decent value for $23 since it comes with a souvenir drink. Lobster roll was great! I really liked the seasoning, and it came with a side of chips too. The real highlight was the ice cream chicken bucket! The hype is real with this one! Each drumstick was made intricately with yummy cornflake coating and the chocolate pretzel bone is a great touch. Seating in the 212 section was pretty fun. The Yanks are doing great right now so the energy in the crowd was amazing. We went crazy during Ben Rice's homer! Only downside was some people got a bit too crazy and threw up right behind my wife's seat...not great but it is what it is I guess. We enjoyed walking around the stadium, talking to fans, and taking in all the different views while getting our food. The one thing I'd say is that while our experience was good, can't help but feel the stadium lacks a bit of character. The concourse is just okay compared to most other modern stadiums, and there aren't many things other than monument park and the Yankee museum that make the place stand out. The great hall is cool, but you don't really spend much time there. It's a good stadium, but I feel like there were some missed opportunities during construction that could have put it in the upper echelon of MLB ballparks.

Also Aaron Judge hit home run within ten minutes of the game starting. Even though I am Yelp Elite Squad, Kyle's comments ( I hate Queens! Citi Field was really well made for a classic baseball experience and you can see it everywhere, the Jackie Robinson Rotunda, the statues and Apple outside the stadium entrance, the concourses, the seats, and the video board. Everything is top notch here other than the on field product (sorry I had to!). The one bad thing was the food....a lot of stands on the 400 level was closed and we had to go all over the place. I understand the attendance is down this year and thus the cheap tickets but this was still a let down. Ended up not being able to find the NY Chopped Cheese Sandwich that I wanted to try, I think the food stand closed. The two items I tried was decent, especially the chopped cheese premio sausage, but the Pat La Frieda steak Sandwich we got was super mid and kind of dry. Disappointing since this is apparently one of the top rated stadiums for food in the entire league? Not my experience unfortunately. Other than that though, I had a great time visiting the stadium, which has easy access from the 7 Train and it's a great activity to do, especially with tickets being so cheap!

I came here because of the basketball battle of the coasts: New York Knicks (New York-East Coast) vs. Golden State Warriors (California-West Coast). Upon entering the building, there were many security lines to go through for clearance. One of the security staff members gave me a bit of difficulty with going through the scanner a total of three times and constantly checking my coat. Next, the building itself was huge to navigate through. My seat was located in Section 416, so I had to go all the way to the top of the building. Thankfully, I was able to take the escalators. There were a lot of food stands (standard snacks like hot dogs, pretzels, etc) and alcohol drink booths readily available. Bathrooms were also reasonably stationed in a fair distance. When the basketball game concluded, it was a bit of a hassle to get out. The escalators were completely shut down, so people had to take the flight of stairs down. Overall, Madison Square Garden is a fantastic hub for sporting games like the NBA, as well as other events, including concerts. Despite the slight hiccup with security and the closure of the escalators, I still had an amazing experience with the spectacular view of the Knicks vs. Warriors game.

Unless you know about it, you can easily walk by, given it blends into the general Harlem cityscape, especially during the day. Then at night, especially during the afterhours when I was there, the scene flips and this place becomes turnt up! People were lined up trying to get inside at 0130. The bouncers were searching and patting people down, nothing absurd or overly intrusive. There is a cover charge and they take credit cards for the cover. As you walk inside, the bar in on your right. Keep going and the dancefloor awaits you. It's not that large, but people are generally very courteous. There are a few places to sit, especially in the back in the left corner. That is also where the steps lead you downstairs, presumably to the restroom, which I did not have to use. The vibe is poppin' inside and it is fed by the DJ on a stage in the back, playing Worldbeats, Afropop, Afrobeats, Reggae, Dance Hall, and Soca. They are setup for live bands here. The volume is high, but not uncomfortably or earsplittingly high. The people here are drawn to this vibe and energy.
