It was $46 pre tax for one adult and one child. It was alright for me though since it was my first time experiencing Gaming City. To my surprise the price was pretty worth it for all the arcade and games they have. There were games like table hockey, shooting hoops, hockey, VR simulation and interaction, racing games with a simulated motorcycle and race car. I did not expect it to have so many different types of games with DDR and a dancing grid. It just sucked that you cannot finish everything in one hour. We were given a watch to time the whole stay that we paid for. They shined red when the time was up. After the arcade play, we were given each 3 tokens for the claw machines. There were big machines that required 2 tokens and the small one only needed 1 token. The claw machines were so difficult to play. The claws were really sensitive and moved a lot. My friends and I did not even win anything. Sucks. The whole gaming city was really clean and dark. It smelled really clean and the noise level was appropriate. There were bathrooms in the middle of the whole place that were really clean. This place is a must go place for anyone who loves arcade and VR. They have it here in one location, which is right off the train station.

Great new arcade in Astoria! Individual prices are a little high, so best to purchase a…read moregroup/family package, which makes the prices more reasonable. (See my photos for exact price lists/options). We purchases a pkg for 3 ppl for 1 Hr, so it came out to $23.33 per person. (Individual price would have been $32pp). You're given a bracelet to wear. Once your time slot is up, your bracelet will turn red, letting you know your time has expired. This arcade is different from other arcades since it's unlimited play for the specific time period you purchase. The only exception are the multiple Claw Machines at the front of the store: these machines require tokens. Note that at the end of your time slot, each person will receive 3 free tokens to use on these Claw Machines; but there are very slim chances of actually winning something. Also, the Claw Machines require 2 tokens! My niece had 9 tokens and won Nothing!! All-in-all, they had some fun games. There are even 2 VR games. But be warned: if you get motion sickness easily, do NOT do the VR games! lol I was really disappointed that they didn't have Skee-Ball games, which is my fave arcade game. But we had fun exploring all their other games. Customer service (except for the below issue) was terrific. All personnel were very friendly and helpful. They really looked out for everyone on the game floor, ready to help if you didn't understand the games/instructions. There are lockers, restrooms and beverage vending machines. Everything was super clean. Note that the VR machines are sanitized in between players, which I really appreciated. So why 4 Stars and not 5 Stars? Because we had to sign waivers ahead of time, and we were told to show up 15 min BEFORE our time slot, to make sure we check-in Before our time slot starts. Sounds fair, right? Well, we showed up 15 min early, as instructed, only to find out that they are closed! Our time slot was 2pm, and they actually opened at 2pm....so why tell us to show up at 1:45pm on a hot humid day, and make us stand out in the sun for 15 sweaty minutes?!?! Grrrrr....so incredibly annoying!! So just a heads up: if you're going to their first time-slot of the day, do NOT show up 15 min early!!

Each of the kids kept grabbing him to play different games and he was very patient with them and happy to help with every single request. You really can't beat the price of this place for the amount of fun the kids have. And it's built for all ages, so even us parents can have fun doing our own thing, while the kids do theirs. I highly recommend!

This is the best PC cafe in the north bergen area. If you are looking for a place to play PC games…read morecollectively with your friends, I'd highly recommend it. This place is my go to and they provide you everything you need to have an awesome gaming experience. They even include a headset that's pretty decent quality along with mechanical keyboards, a pretty good quality mouse and monitor. The payment is kind of unique. You have to fill your account with a balance and that clocks down. Worst case scenario is while you are playing if you run out of time, you get shut down which can be annoying so I recommend keeping an eye on the balance every so often or refilling before each session. Other than that, the place is kept clean, well lit, nicely decorated with minimalism in mind. The only complaint I have is that it can get a bit heated while playing so if they pumped up the AC just a little more, it would be perfect.

On the weekend it is $3/hr and $25 for a day pass which is feel is very reasonable. There also snacks/meals that you can buy. The monitors are large, headsets are adjustable, and they even have steelseries mice/mousepads. The chairs were also very comfortable surprisingly, very similar to a dxracer if you ever ever sat in one. The games available are fortnite, pubg, apex, l4d2, 1.6, css, csgo, league, Starcraft, and that is just to name a few. There is quite a large game library to your disposal. You also have access to use discord, Skype, kaokao talk, etc. If you don't have a steam account or don't want to use your personal one they will log you into a guest account, which I found super accommodating. My friends and I decided to play l4d2. The game ran super smooth. No lag or stuttering, felt like I was playing on my own computer. However, if you are using one of the guest steam accounts, a number of them have mods installed on them so characters of monsters may not appear as the originals. One of my friends, the zombies were anime girls while my other friend, all mobs were from Minecraft which made hit boxes more confusing. The computer has a timer in the bottom left corner showing your start/end time. Once you hit 10 minutes remaining then the computer vocalizes how many minutes you have left every minute. I would love to come back here again. There's something different from playing online than when you are actually physically sitting next to your friends as you play.

Overall it was fun and a really nice first time game for the kids. Though, we found it pretty challenging and felt a lot more difficult than the easy grade. Also, some of the puzzles and doors didn't quite work as well as they should have. Overall, it was a fun experience. We have done about 50 escape rooms at this point. I'd say this one ranked in the middle of the pack. We've done some that have been much better but also many that were much worse. The clues took a particularly long time to deliver. We've escaped every room except this one was our first failure! We weren't even close. Our kids were sad, but can't always win! I guess a good lesson learned. But definitely much more challenging than we expected! We enjoyed it enough and the location is great right near 30 Rock. There were some gigantic cockroaches in our room, too.
