Let me start by saying that I am writing this with a heavy heart.
I had extremely high hopes for Sara Jennifers work, considering her Instagram and Yelp reviews and pictures, but sadly she disappointed me beyond belief.
My brows have been a point of contention in my life for many years, so before I decided on who would be doing my brows I did a ton of research. (over a years worth). I was satisfied with her consultation as well as her previous work.
Fast forward to the day of my appointment. I specifically stated that I wanted my brows on the thinner side with a rounded arch, which she assured me she could do. BOY WAS I WRONG!
I understand the whole concept that "brows are not twins but sisters", too bad mine aren't even related.
I expressed concerns with the right brow after a few days. It is too thick, too long, and has almost no arch. (see attached pictures) Sara told me to come back in and see what we could do. I did. It did not go well. I was understandably upset about the entire process and let her know that i wasn't happy and where my concerns lied. To which I was told that they brows I had at the time we not the brows I would have in the end. OK thats fine and all but it still doesn't solve the issue that they were severely uneven. She drew them in to show me what they would look like finished (see attached) and I told her I was not ok with that either.
Nothing was resolved, a screaming match ensued and I left. Soon after she removed my pictures from her Instagram account. (why do that if you are proud of your work?)
Then we had a pretty heated text exchange (attached as well) and the outcome was that I would go with her to her instructor to make sure they were what I wanted.
Today, I went to ELITE PERMANENT MAKEUP on the westside. Advised to show up early, I did. She was late. Ok.. this is LA and theres traffic, no biggie.
This is where it gets worse... if you can believe it.
She went thru the numbing and measuring process. I told her flat out, that no one was touching my brows till I was confident that they had the ability to fix what was wrong. Ok.
So she draws in what she believes needs to be done, the entire time trying to match the left(good) brow to the right(bad) brow. Not what I wanted at all. I understand my face and know what I want. I was told with pointed fingers and a hushed tone that no one else is seeing what I am and that this is her business so she knows best. I told her she better stop pointing her fingers in my face, to which she replied "or what"
Then a few other brow artists came over. One I can't remember the name, takes a white pencil to my brow where SARAS work needed to be removed. (if you did such an amazing job why do certain strokes need to be removed?) At this point Im once again in tears. I told Sara flat out that she isn't touching my face. Period. I walked out for some air and to clear my head.
When I went back in to the studio, I told Sara that she doesn't see the problem everyone else does so how in the world can I trust her to fix them? The Master Artist of Elite the pulled me to her chair and showed me exactly what needed to be done to fix them. Unfortunately its a lot. They are not even in height, length, width or arch. Ok so now we have a HUGE problem.
Fears confirmed.
So now we are at the point where I need to schedule a correction. NOT OK
The Master Artist suggested I talk with Sara about applying her fee to the correction (meaning a refund from Sara to correct the work needed). At this point things are hostile, and I don't want to speak with her. A receptionist spoke with Sara and Sara came out. She told me she would only refund the touch up fee of $100. Not ok considering the bad and partially completed work.
I told Sara that she should refund half ($200) because she only did half the work. I think that fair, considering everything. She told me no, and that the Master Artists only reason for telling me what corrections were needed were to make me happy and make herself money. Uhm unprofessional much? No. I told her no matter what she (Sara) was not touching my face. She said she wouldn't do it anyways. That Im the worst client she's ever had, Im a b**ch etc. OOOOOKKKK. I lost my S**T. I was told that she wouldn't give me a dime back because of this whole exchange.
So now Im out her $4oo fee plus an additional $700 for the corrections. BAD BUSINESS.
I understand that things don't always go as planned but customer service is important. I may be a b**ch and a c**t and the worst client she's ever had, but it doesn't change the fact that the work that was done is bad and incomplete.
And to top it off, she's blocked me from IG.
This is easily the most upsetting experience Ive ever had. read more
