The space is beautiful, the chairs are comfortable and I wanted to love it, but like all the other restaurants that have been in that location on King Street it comes up short. The good: Shrimp Ajillo had good flavor and eye appeal. The Goat cheese flat bread was tasty and i liked the fruit salsa on top. The bad: Almost everything else. The Signature spicy margarita used overly sweet mix and infused vodka, the empanadas were in Phyllo and tasteless, the Pulpo which was well presented had 0 taste, the ribs were dry and the sauce that came on the side didn't work with the flavor. Tapas Dazzle at Ibiza Kitchen. Our family dinner at this sparkling restaurant was as close to a trip to Spain as we got this summer. In terms of food, it was a good or better than anything we ate in Madrid or Barcelona a few years back. With everything on the menu jumping out as a must-order, we let the owner, Ignacio, create the dining experience for us. And why not? The recipes are all his. We had too many to list here, but a few deserve mention: Setas (wild mushrooms), Trapantojo (Raw cauliflower, red onions, tomato, bell peppers, mint, parsley, walnuts, curry, agde sherry vinegar), Cana de Cabra, Patatas Bravas, Salmon (the cracker of crispy bomba rice that serves as a plate for the salmon is a taste sensation on its own), and so on. We ordered every dessert and finished with a digestif, Licor 43, or Cuarenta y Tres, that was the exclamation point to a wonderful meal. My final recommendation: sit back and enjoy. read more

Had another wonderful meal at Ibiza! The choices are varied, beautifully presented and delicious. Last night's specials were fantastic additions, especially the portobello carpaccio. One of the worst dining experiences ever. Don't believe the reviews! Overpriced, small portions and pathetically slow service. $17 for 5 very small shrimp. Ordered 5 tapas, the first one came out within 10 minutes, no food for at least another 20 minutes and waited one hour and 1/2 for the Paella and a steak. This may very well be the best restaurant in chappaqua. Ignacio, the owner, works so hard to make all patrons happy and content. He is constantly moving and cleaning and waiting and bussing, he puts his sweat into this restaurant and it shows not only in service but in the quality of the delicious food. Some of the best dishes are the fish and the lamb ravioli, not to mention the burger. Oh, and the desserts!! Highly, highly recommend this place to everyone. read more

My friend and I ate here last night and tried a bunch of things to share: octopus, duck entree, oxtail rice, crispy ravioli, fry potatoes and the black and white chocolate mousse, peach and passion fruit foam for dessert. Everything was stellar and our waitress was such a sweetheart. We really enjoyed everything that we had and will be returning very soon. I've eaten at Ignacio Blanco's restaurant in Danbury a few times and have never been disappointed. I can say the same for his new restaurant in Chappaqua. And as inventive, creative and amazing his tapas is, it comes with a price. Literally. The dishes are proportional for small plates, but be prepared to order six to eight per couple. The deserts are as creative as the small plates. Add two glasses of wine and expect to spend a little south of $200. I will be back to try the full plate menu. Is it worth the money? Yes. Most of the tapas were delicious, but the service was not even near acceptable. We were 4 people. Two of us wanted to share 5 or 6 tapas for dinner and the other 2 wanted a regular meal. So we asked to have the tapas and the full meals served at the same time. That did not happen. The tapas began to come out one at a time and after the third one, we asked about the dinners which were nowhere in sight. After an hour and many inquires, the dinners arrived at the table. So two of us were almost finished when the other two were just served. So we ordered another tapas which we had to send back because it was so salty that I almost spit it out. Furthermore, the physical restaurant had many negatives too. The bench seats sank so much that my chin was 2 inches from the table. The wall were concrete and echoed the talking so badly that I could hardly hear the person seat next to me. Whenever the door to the restaurant was opened a gust of wind would send a chill into the room. read more

There's a lot more to the quality of the food for a restaurant to be worthy. Customer Service is huge. My friend and I visited your Ibiza Tapas location the night before your last day there. We were told to come for a 7:30pm reservation, for which we did and promptly so. The person who was to check us in, made us wait a good 5 minutes before she even came to us just to tell us that there was at least a 15-20 minute wait. This, despite our reservation, and despite having EMPTY tables (and more than what you would expect during the Covid19 pandemic) all around. We were both upset by this, and decided to leave for another restaurant, when not a moment after we get back into our car, another couple walks in .... and gets seated IMMEDIATELY! At this point we could no longer hold in our frustration as she walked back in to ask why they got seated immediately. Your person stated that they had a reservation for 745. We had reiterated to her that we had a reservation at 730 as if she never bothered to listen the first time she came to us when we told her we had a 730. She didn't even bother giving us a reason and we wound up going to another restaurant which not only had good food but great service. So when I see the Brookfield Patch write an article stating that your business went out of business due to the Pandemic, that just doesn't wash with us. Your service was horrible, and frankly your food must have been out of this world for people to endure such lousy customer service, because for sure you would have closed your doors up here a lot sooner otherwise. read more

I was looking forward to a restaurant finally opening in this location. I found the portions to be extremely small when they arrived, therefore very overpriced. I received an extremely small piece of fish for $36. I went home and needed to eat again. It is unfortunate living in this town to not return to this restaurant again. While I do not mind spending money, I don't expect to leave hungry for my $100 bill for myself (2 glasses of wine, shared apps, entree and tip). read more

I'm often in the area as my fiance's family is not far and tried this spot for the first time. I was very impressed. The portions were large and filling. For appetizers, we ordered two: the tuna appetizer and mushroom truffle. Both were excellent and meals in themselves. For dinner I had the Fideua, which was a real treat as I had not had it since being in Valencia, Spain (where it originated) years ago. It was excellent. My fiance had ceviche which she really enjoyed, her father had scallops and mother had duck with a polenta side. Everything was amazing. Everything was very fresh. For dessert, we got a passion fruit dessert that had chocolate in the middle and strawberries and blueberries complimenting. Once again we really enjoyed it. Way too noisy. Bench seats so low and back tilted that guests had to sit on coats. Disregarded request to serve tapas for two guests at the same time as the main dishes for the other two. Main dishes were served an hour after arrival. Only 3 of the 6 tapas were good. The spinach was so salty we sent it back. My friends and I went for dinner and enjoyed everything we ordered! One person is a vegetarian and one is gluten free. We ordered 3 small plates and an entree. It was all cooked perfectly and delicious! We started with the portobello mushrooms, salad and tuna on crispy rice. All amazing! Possibly the worst dining experience I've ever had. My full course meal which was supposed to be oxtail was smaller than a tapas, which is just as well seeing as it was mostly rice and what little meat there was consisted of fat and bone. When I advised the waiter of the issues with the dish he commented that there was "only one bone" (actually, I hit another bone after I showed him the first) and said he would "show it to the chef." No apology. No visit from the chef. No visit from the manager. No return visit from the waiter. No request as to whether I would like something else. No offer to discount my bill. I am home now having dinner. I live locally and was hoping for a new favorite spot, but I will NEVER eat there again. read more

Dreadful....We drove 40 minutes to this restaurant for a wine dinner. Not only was the food a total disappointment and the portions embarrassingly small, the food served could not have been worse parings for the quality of wines that were brought in by all of us. No cheese or their exclusive ham was even served both of which would have worked well with the wines. Even the dessert was tastless. Thank goodness we had lots of interesting wines to taste and neat conversations with a very friendly group of really cool people, who, in spite of the food, made this a very enjoyable evening . We left hungry, couldn't stop talking about the food, the size of the portions and the cost. We binged on some wonderful cheese and crackers when we got home. For us, Ibiza Kitchen is a must miss and we won't be returning. read more

I don't usually write or pay much attention to crowd-sourced restaurant reviews, as opposed to those written by professionals such as Ruth Reichl when she was at the NY Times or the folks at Michelin and Gault-Millau. My reason is that one knows nothing about the bona fides of the writer, or his/her biases, background, knowledge base and experience. But I wandered onto this site and found a really bi-polar dichotomy of opinion, so I'm going to have my say. First, in the interest of full disclosure, I am 75, and was virtually born in a Michelin-starred restaurant on the Lac d'Annecy. Yes, I'm French. I've eaten in at least 200 Michelin-starred restaurants, and have often taken driving vacations through France and Italy from one Relais & Chateau with a Relais Gourmand ranking to another. I LOVE good food, not trendy food, not frou-frou food, but thoughtful, imaginative cuisine created by real people for real people. My view is that the world's best fish restaurant is not Le Bernardin, but rather Margaret Tayar's on the Tel-Aviv/Jaffa border. The most memorable meal I've had in years was at Ekstedt, a Michelin one-star in Stockholm where everything is cooked with, over or in wood, though Stockholm's Sushi Sho, the world's smallest Michelin-starred restaurant with only 12 seats at the bar, came close. Oh, also I'm one heck of a good cook, not a chef, but someone whose knowledge of food chemistry and ability to take a recipe and adapt it to my purposes and resources at hand enables me to prepare gorgeous foods in the French classic, bistro and nouvelle styles, as well as Italian, Hungarian, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese and Japanese culinary traditions. I also make the widely-acclaimed world's best mac and cheese by amending Ruth Reichl's classic through the use of seven cheeses. OK, so that's out of the way. I have eaten at Ibiza Kitchen six times, including the wine dinner mentioned by another reviewer. (We must have had a different meal.) My wife, who has accompanied me to all the culinary expeditions cited above, has declared this her favorite local restaurant, and I agree. If it were part of, say, a Parador in the Extremadura of Spain or in Galicia, it would rate two or perhaps three black crossed forks and knives from Michelin and a Bib Gourmand, indicating good value as well as good food. I'm not looking for high-end gastronomy at this price point. But the flavors are authentic, the presentation flawless and the attention from the owner and his staff beyond the norm. Fried potatoes, ocopus, sardines, various fish, steak, desserts are all beyond reproach. I should also mention that you can bring your own wine for a very modest corkage fee, which I do, grabbing a Torre Muga or some such from the cellar on the way out the door. We rarely eat out because of my own cooking (last night unbelievably delicious venison) and wine cellar (a Staglin Ineo 2007), but we will make a point of eating at Ibiza Kitchen at least once a month. For us, that's unheard of. read more

Ibiza Kitchen Chappaqua is Westchester County's version of Ibiza Tapas Danbury, where I have been going for years. The owner, Ignacio Blanco, is one of the most creative culinary directors for a Spanish food restaurant in America. His food is derived from Spanish dishes, but with his own unique, creative interpretations of Spanish cuisine. Ignacio got three stars in The New York Times for his Manhattan restaurant, Meigas. That restaurant closed because the 9/11 tragedy killed many businesses downtown. Many of the dishes are tapas portions, others are main course portions, which are not cheap, but neither are the first-rate products Ignacio Blanco uses in his dishes. The quality of the food is impeccable. I have been to both Ibiza restaurants with such restaurant and food critics as Bryan Miller, John Mariani, Colman Andrews and Mark Bittman and they have all raved about the food. Mariani thinks Ibiza is one of the greatest Spanish cuisine restaurants in America. If you are looking for a tipico Spanish tapas bars, Ibiza is not it--the gambas al ajillo are not the typical way of serving this dish, but it is a terrific version, with creative license, of this dish. And, above all, the food is delicious. read more
