This is a total scam and they are liars --they just want money. This started back in August 2023 where I paid to board my older pup and a foster pup because they were not getting along, IB K9 said the boarding date would be about a month out. Long story short, the same night I had requested for a refund when we had to cancel one of our foster dog's boarding after she hurt my older pup. They promised to send my money back. They never did. My older pup got sick after boarding and didn't learn anything basically; they were super communicative until my dog was boarded, then afterwards I had to keep reaching out to ask how she was doing and I got basically one photo during the entire time she was boarded. After I got my older pup back she seemed really sick, severely skinny and when I brought her to her vet, they expressed heavy concern with the facilities because she was clearly weaker and sick and I ended up breaking down crying from feeling so bad for doing this to her. I never even requested a refund for the harm they did to my dog ; I only asked for a refund on the dog that was NEVER BOARDED. I posted a review on Google a few years back when it all happened and in late July 2026, they replied to my google review telling me to reach out via email, only to tell me they won't refund me and state that it's part of the signed contract, but there was no such contract and they are absolute liars. I filed a small claims which they ignored; you can see in the affidavit attached where they tried to ignore / refuse to open the door and accept the served papers. I am now also posting all my interaction with them to warn anyone who is thinking of taking their dogs here. So bottom line is, if you want to traumatize your pup, waste your money, or never get your money back this would be a good place. read more

Hands down the Best Dog Trainers we have ever worked with! We have 4 dogs 2 Belgian Malinois, a working line Dutch shepherd, and a Canis Panther. They have gone Above & Beyond teaching us what is best for each of our individual dogs and helping us make sure they are well behaved but also Extremly Fulfilled! Our Dutch shepherd for example is a dog that many other trainers would never be able to handle and/ or would just resort to labeling him as difficult and likely lead us into more problems. But not with IBK9! They are teaching us how to be patient, fair, and effective with how to properly live with and raise a household of multiple powerful breed dogs and we are so grateful to them! Best money ever spent! read more

This place is the best hands, down. Got to meet the owner during the introductory meeting and heard their process explained in detail, he answered all our questions. We paid for puppy training for our Cavapoo. Price is higher than the average dog trainer, but the quality is exponentially more. Worth every penny. Why pay any trainer at all if you're not going to get results? IBK9 stands behind their promises, I experienced it. Our beloved Gigi was a little nervous in the first few sessions and they made sure she had properly learned and graduated before concluding our sessions. What I especially appreciate is how knowledgeable the staff is, and their love for dogs is obvious. We could ask about eating habits, grooming, equipment, car sickness, etc.etc., and they would patiently respond (often while continuing the training they were doing while talking to us). They would bring out other dogs to re-enact situations, walk us to our car to give feedback on leaving, very practical. We just needed to get puppy training to start our dog off right, but if we need more training we're grateful they have all different types of continued training options. Highly recommend. read more

If I could give IBK9 more stars I would! My dog was reactive & would bark, lunge & spin if passing by a dog. He was really inconsistent & made going on walks/ doing things in public so stressful. We started the reactivity program & not only did Jason teach me how to communicate with the leash, he taught me confidence in handling my dog. The difference is night & day! We can go on walks and even to farmers markets now! Before our training program I would have avoided places with a lot of dogs around. I can't say enough how much our lives have changed! Less stress & more walks & public outings! My only regret is not starting a program sooner! They also offer other fun classes to do with your dog! We took a scent work class which was super fun! read more

After having a 3 month old Belgian Malinois fall into our laps we were completely overwhelmed. Three months later and our girl is turning into a wonderful little lady. Jason and Kristen and the whole team amazing. My Gemma gets so excited when we get there for training and LOVES Kristen. Gemma and I have learned so much especially how to communicate with the leash. We're so excited to see what she's capable of and know IBK9 will help her get there. read more

Is it possible for a visit to be a complete waste of time? We came here for a free "evaluation" that they offer. The purpose, as we thought an evaluation would involve spending time with the dog to assess what training regiment would work best. What did we get? Well the guy asked if we went to the website, which we said we did, Then he proceeded to regurgitate the same info that's on the website. At no point did he spend any time with the dog, ask us what are concerns are and what training we think the dog needs. So what was the evaluation???? Are we just expected to fork over $4500 and see what happens? What if our dog needs only a few 1-1s to break some bad habits? None of that was "evaluated" or discussed. Basically told us that there is a flat fee that includes all training and lets not forger a leash and a collar. You mean similar to the one he already had on? Sheesh... I am not questioning their training success or failures. Nor am I questioning their training process or methods. I am pixxed that we drove 1/2 each way to get absolutely no value from this place and its "evaluation". After this visit, you expect us to train here? read more

We came to IBK9 after our dog (Adderall) was struggling with reactivity toward people and dogs (especially dogs). He is an absolute love bug with his family, and his fur siblings, so we kept trying to give him more exposure thinking that would help (spoiler alert: it didn't, it made it worse). So after almost a year of trying, we decided to go the training route. I contacted IBK9 for an evaluation, and while one on one training would be an ok option, we wanted to give our boy the best we could, so we ultimately went with board and train (his trainer is Julie). It was the best decision we made for Adderall, it gave him and us the tools for success. 6 weeks post training, we can really enjoy going out with him with little to no reactions! We are still participating in group sessions and soon will be in agility classes! read more

I.B. K-9 is the best experience I've ever had training with my dog. My husband and I lost our previous Mali in a tragic accident, and we ended up getting another Mali, Lucy. As you could except losing a pet is extremely hard especially in a tragic manner. This being said, i was so insanely anxious to let her out of my sight let alone board her.. after meeting the team in the evaluation, and truly seeing how kind and supportive they are with every dog, we were convinced. Lucy spent exactly 2 months with them. Kristin had EXCELLENT communication with me the entire time she was away. Not only did we get cute photos of her progress, we went in weekly (after she adapted to being there) and got to learn with her and practice with her. It is like a night and day difference. The tips they gave and the instructions were above and beyond. Lucy is one of the best trained dogs we have ever had. Best investment we have made. Not only is her training insured throughout her entire life, they offer 1-1, group classes, and fun trainings through her life span and help with different life changes that can affect behavior such as a becoming new parents. I can not recommend this place enough!!!! Thank you Jason and your team for creating a brand that truly dedicates the love and devotion and development these animals need. Lucy loves you guys! read more

Excellent skills and abilities to teach our dog some manners and respect. Highly recommend!!

I was connected with I.B. K9 originally because a dog I was fostering was extremely leash reactive. Jason was so great to work with and has continued to work with him even after he was adopted! Then after finding out we were expecting our first baby, we wanted to get some formal training for our dog, Harlow! Harlow completed their 2 week board and train with Julie and came home with more confidence and is just an overall better listener. She's much better with impulse control and I am confident that she will do great with proper boundaries around the new baby! We can't wait to continue working with them! read more

I meant to write this review a month ago when my lil gal completed her hybrid board and train, but I am so glad I waited because I have so many more wonderful things to say. I put my 14 week old doberman puppy in the program after speaking to Kristen extensively about the benefits. I was incredibly apprehensive, I mean trusting my pup to be out of my care for 3 nights a week pulled at my mama heart strings, but I trusted in the process and amazing things happened. My girl came home every week training with Jeremy with a growing sense of confidence. Her obedience improved weekly but the biggest benefit I still see today is the effect early socialization had on her overall temperament. She is just very balanced. After she completed board and train is where IBK9s commitment to their dogs REALLY impressed me. I was having trouble with leash pulling. The team was readily available to assess the problem offering solutions and guidance. Having ALL the trainers as a resource has made training/raising my puppy a totally different experience than in the past. I feel as though I have the support to do the best by my pup and have realized ...it is actually ME that has needed the most training. I recommend IBK9 without an ounce of hesitation. Thank you to Jeremy, Julie and Kristen, my family & I will be forever grateful for the great start and continued guidance you have given us on our puppy journey read more

I was a customer for both training and boarding starting in 2023. My dog was scheduled to board in May and I pre-paid (as required) for the stay. Unfortunately prior to boarding dates, my dog killed another pet and was rehomed under emergency circumstances. I quickly contacted IBK9 to cancel his stay and request a refund, explaining the circumstances. I was told they are not required to refund but Kristen would submit my request for review. I have spent MONTHS CHASING DOWNAN UPDATE (I've called, emailed and texted), receiving no response, delayed responses and multiple excuses/delay tactics. On July 18th Kristen texted that she would refund me 'personally' via Zelle (same day - see photo). Not only have I still not received any refund, I continue to get excuse after excuse. This is NO WAY to run a business. I understand the refund is not required but the business AGREED TO IT. I will never take other pets to the business or recommend them to anyone because of this. Verbal contracts in Arizona are binding and apparently I'll be taking them to small claims court next - this all could have been avoided if they'd kept their word. read more

Best decision I ever made! Julie and everyone is great!!!! She took her time training with us and with both my pups, now they are so well behaved and we have learned a lot! I was at my wits end with both of them, they were so wild and unruly, but since board and train they are much more obedient it was definitely worth it! I would definitely recommend! read more

I can say enough about how much i appreciate this staff/team! We took our very stubborn 3y/o pit/boxer mix, Bruin to Ib k.9 for the 4 week board and train program. I was very unsure of leaving him for so long but, Kristen, Jason & Jeremey loved him as one of their own and always provided updates/time to schedule visits! Since his return home he has been willing to listen to commands without treats in hand and has been such a great boy on the leash! They have given me the best foundation to continue his training and plan going forward. I am so happy with how much fun Bruin has doing his training sessions and how attached he was to his trainer, Jeremy. Great program and staff all the way around! I look forward to keeping up with them and their training graduate meet ups. read more

The staff training the dogs are VERY knowledgeable with how to teach doggos. I took my German shepherd puppy them for a puppy love package training and I learned so much and was able to apply what I learned at home easily. Luke (my dog) was very receptive to the training and I plan on doing another program with IBK9 read more

I brought my dog Ella to IB after using another board and train service. She developed some reactivity after the initial trainer I used and he wasn't helpful getting her back to normal so I reached and to Jason and Julie and did their reactive program. She has definitely improved and now enrolled in their agility program. read more

IBK9 is very knowledgeable about training my dog-reactive German Shepherd. They also make sure that the owner knows how to communicate with the dog. Every dog is different and the trainers there are keen enough to notice when a routine part of their training may not be suitable for your dog based upon temperament. When we started, my dog Fredy was very dog aggressive. When we completed the training, Fredy can down/ stay-in-place while other dogs were in the training area. They are also very reasonable regarding training prices and boarding prices. I have used their board and train package when I travel and Fredy comes back with even more skills than before! read more
