She didn't just stop by; she stayed, hung out, and genuinely spent time with him. And even though our gray cat, Dolce, didn't come out very much, she was just as incredible in caring for her and making sure she felt safe and comfortable. Wow... just wow! (I contacted them a year or two ago when we were considering using them. We didn't end up needing them, but when we tried them last week when we finally did, John did not decide to call us back.) Everything went smoothly from start to finish. Drop-off was easy, the staff was friendly and reassuring, and it was clear they genuinely care about the dogs. Nelson did great overnight and came home happy and relaxed, which was exactly what we were hoping for. If I could give a review for Bill's Mutt House I would in a heartbeat! A little bit about us: we have 3 pups we adopted from a rescue almost 2 years ago, 2 littles and their mom. When we adopted them they all had some form of past trauma, but even with the challenges our pups have, I can confidently say that all the employees who work here are AMAZING with ALL dogs, even ones who need a little more TLC like ours! Our pups have never been boarded or to doggie daycare before, so naturally we were nervous about how they would do at first, but after the initial meet and greet all our worries were gone we could see right away that this place and all the people here are amazing with dogs and passionate about their work. Jonathan was the first employee we met at the meet and greet, he made the initial process easy and seamless. I really appreciate all the time he spent explaining everything in detail, answering all our questions, and bringing other dogs out slowly to get our pups adjusted and see how they did. Jonathan also gave us a tour of the yards and facility, so we got to see the kennel our pups would stay in and feel how great their AC is (which in AZ good AC for fur babies is a must have!) We knew when our nervous reserved boy Apollo attached to Jonathan right away that this was the perfect place with the perfect people While our pups were there, the employees even worked with all 3 of them on leash training and got our boy Apollo a LOT more comfortable on a leash! I was worried Apollo might not be able to work past his trauma with leashes, but having the amazing people at Bills work with him during his stay has helped him improve drastically. The rotation system they use is also wonderful, they put pups in groups that do well together to ensure all the dogs are in a group that fits their individual needs and comfort level (because like us humans, not all dogs get along with eachother ). They rotate the groups outside constantly throughout the day, so every pup gets lots of time outside in the yard to play and socialize. They made sure to put our pups with a calm group so they could ease into this new experience. Another thing I liked is that they post videos on their Instagram several times a day, so while we were out of town we were able to see our babies while they were in the yard playing and socializing I love the fact that we were able to have all 3 of our pups in the same kennel during their stay, so they could sleep together and be more comfortable. They have a wide variety of kennel sizes and can have your pups stay together or separate, depending on what they need and their size. I also really appreciate how transparent they are about their pricing, it was very reasonable and fair, plus there were no hidden fees/costs or anything that suddenly changed at pick up. It was all laid out and explained thoroughly during the meet and greet, and since we were able to have all 3 of our pups in the same kennel we were able to save a little on the daily rate! The wide range of pick up/drop off time is very convenient too. You can drop off and pick up anytime between 7AM - 9PM, which made planning our weekend trip sooooo much easier! Overall we are 1 million % happy with our experience at Bill's Mutt House! It's puppy paradise If you're on the fence about where to go and took the time to read my novel then look no further! Bo is typically shy and hides in the closet but he took to her, left the closet and regularly interacted with her. She went out of her way to spend quality time with them daily. Her communication is excellent and she provided daily updates with pictures. Bo got sick while I was away, she took him to the vet and called me so I could speak with the vet for the entirety of the visit and know exactly what was going on. Afterwards she spent additional time with him daily to make sure he was improving and doing well. He doesn't like taking medication and she immediately took the initiative to buy meat to ensure he took the full course of his medication. Kathy was the only one I trusted to take care of my cats in my absence and she is still the only one I'd trust. When we adopted Angus, an American Bulldog, he was extremely reactive, had zero impulse control, and was tough to manage. Walks were stressful--he would bark, lunge, and completely lose it around other dogs. Recall was non-existent, and previous trainers had little success with him. My how time flies when you're having fun!…read more The reason I am able to have so much fun is because I have Heather of H & H Pet Services looking after my pets. Since my first review I have acquired a couple of turtles and three hens! Heather didn't blink in eye. Jumped right in with a smile and a giggle at my menagerie and got right to work while I was on vacation last week. She had all of my 7 of my pets for 7 full days! In response to a previous review I would like to state unequivocally that I have NEVER had anyone be so accommodating and flexible with my pets and with such a great attitude. You want to see inflexible and unaccommodating try PetsMart! But that's a different review! I love Heather, absolutely love her and her Dog House. The dogs are carefully and thoughtfully placed in a full bedroom with others dogs of their own size and temperament. I never worry that they will be in harms way. Heather has encouraged me along the way to not make a big deal out of saying goodbye by explaining that it is harder on the DOGS and myself. She was right! They now hop right in the front door every-time. I would NEVER EVER trust my animals to anyone else other than Heather. We appreciate her very much! Thank you Heather!
