Came in yesterday to get speakers installed on my truck and a infotainment system. When we got home we noticed when opening the door the left rear door speaker had no sound coming out of it. We took it back the next day (today) to get it fixed and they did. Here is where the problem came, we rolled down the window in the back where the sound issue came from and now our window had issues rolling down or up and it would get stuck half way. My father took it back and the employees got upset because he asked for them to fix their second mistake. That's outrageous you messed up and you won't fix it? This place is a joke. I wouldn't trust these guys to pick up my dogs turds! So I decided to go here since it was close to where I live.... Took one car in to get a iPod adapter installed. Was initially $120 then turned in to $150 when I showed up. Whatever, I got it done. I leave, works for about 3 months and stops. Take it back and the guy says that they'll fix it. Ended up being a disconnected wire. So I leave works for a few months and stopped again. Returned and they said it was past the warranty and they couldn't do anything. Took it to best buy and they fixed it in 15 min. Also took our other car here for a tint. 3 hours later....the guy tells me my car is done and that it's time to pay. I pay, go outside and the tint guy tells me that he messed up and got hair stuck in the tint and that they were all out of the 5% tint so I'd have to bring it back. Went to have my tint done. Ended leaving it there all day. I ended with a bunch of tiny bubbles. Went back and waited for hours and they only removed the bigger bubbles. They said the bubbles would go away, that it was just moisture. It's been months and the bubbles are still there. I don't want to return and waste more of my time. IF YOU WANT a perfect job, LOOK for a place that only does tinting. This place is full of amateurs who just want to take your money. Be careful. I went here for a custom subwoofer install to a newly purchased vehicle. The install left me with several damaged interior components due to poor preparation and care. The custom box was also awful. The box left the subwoofer exposed and smelled terrible of cheap over used fiberglass resin for weeks which made me and my passengers nauseated. IB Custom swore this was normal but after conferring with many other audio installers, this proved not true. I did return to request a refund or replacement of the damaged parts. After several weeks of getting the run around, I finally gave up on having them replacing the damaged parts. In the end, I had another company remove the entire install and redo everything IB Custom installed and I could not be happier. This company is a sham and all the one star reviews are spot on. Absolutely one of the worst shopping experiences of my life. Was quoted one price but when I came back (happened to be wearing a shirt and tie the next time) the price suddenly doubled. I haggled and had a deck installed. Some of the shoddiest work I've ever seen. They cut my dash to hell and now it looks terrible, didnt give me the instructions to the stereo or remote. I went here to get my tint done on my new Jeep Cherokee. My cousin was also going to get his tint done on his mustang, but he needed the old tint removed. The owner quoted my cousin a price that was a tad bit higher than what another shop quoted (But he explained that what you are paying for is quality of work) Long story short, after a few days, my cousin got the mustang tinted at the other shop. Tint looked ok, but there were bubbles everywhere. So I went back to iB because I value someone who takes pride in their work. Ray quoted me a fair price that was comparable to what the other shops charged, and he explained to me about the high quality tint they used. My car was finished in about 2 hours, and I picked it up. I've been coming to IB Customs for years. And I never had an issues with them. The owner Ray and his wife Sangeeta have always been great with they're customer service. Greets with a smile and knows what they're talking about. I've looked around at other shops for my windows tinted and my tailights and they have been the best on pricing. The quality of the work is great. My car is always breaking necks and getting compliments on the work. One of my cousins got his tailights tinted from a different shop and it wasn't completed nearly as well as IB Custom. I highly recommend this place. Had an appointment scheduled for this morning at 9:30am for window tint. I was really looking forward to doing business as the price quoted was extremely reasonable compared to other shops. However, not only did I show up on time alongside another customer who appeared to be waiting, but the shop was closed no one showed up. I waited about an hour (longer than I probably should have) and no one showed up to open the shop and attend to customers. I tried calling a total of three times and no one answered. I felt extremely inconvenienced, my time as well as others had been wasted. After shopping around for a place to tint and install an alarm on my daughter's car we finally decided to go with IB Custom. At first we were a little skeptical given the reviews on here but after visiting them and several other shops I decided that IB Customs were the friendliest. Unlike one shop that wasted his breath trying a slimy sales pitch and another that felt like Jersey Shore on Steroids! Ray at IBC explained all the alarm models within our price range and never talked down to me like one douchey shop did. Now for the install review- it took a bit longer than expected- but it was due to a missing door lock part and it took awhile to get one. When Ray called me, he answered with a "Hello, how are you?" I almost didnt know it was IBC on the line!!! The rest of the staff were funny and polite as well- they teased me for bringing in slurpees and none for them. It has been a week and no major bubbles in sight. Alarm works great! A few days after the install, my daughter couldnt find the panic button on her key fob Ray was happy to take the time to show her. IB Customs will be my go to shop for when Im finally fed up of my stock radio in my van and decide to replace it with one that decides to play my music when i say and not when it wants. read more

I have never written a negative review on Yelp but I feel it is my duty to warn people to stay away from this place. My first mistake was going there to support a local small business. I try to use small and local places because I want to see them flourish but I feel guilty for giving them almost enough money for an extra months rent. The first thing they did was put a new amp into my wife's brand new car. That's all and well but they failed to mention it was put on a switch that needed to be turned off because it drained the battery. Predictably, her battery died when she was in Placerville visiting her mother and had to call roadside assistance. That should have been enough of a red flag but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Then I went in to get an amp hooked up to my sub woofer and get the ipod cord replaced because it wasn't charging my ipod properly. I already had an amp for my other speakers and the sound was great. I just wanted a little more bass. When I picked up my car, the sound was absolutely horrible! They hooked up some cheap headphone jack to my stereo so I could use my ipod while I waited for the part to come in. They didn't say anything about not having the part when I left my car with them because I guess it wasn't important to them. Anyways, I made a huge mistake by turning right around and going back to them to "fix" it. The next day, I get a call saying two of my speakers were blown and for some unknown reason, I allowed them to replace them. Again, my sound was just fine when I first dropped off my car. I should have stopped right then and there but didn't and I guess that's my fault. Foolishly, I had them replace the speakers. Finally, I pick up my car and the sound is still horrible! Also, now my ashtray won't open, my sunroof doesn't work, there are two broken clips on the drivers side door panel and a week later, the whole mechanism that controls my locks and windows is no longer seated in the door. The pins that hold that in were broken and they weren't broken when I first went there! I was so pissed off but luckily I took the high road and didn't go back to have them "fix" all the damage they had done. I was over $500 deep and would have caused a big time scene if I would have gone back and had to listen to the double talk and tech speak from those amateurs! Finally, I took my car to Best Buy to get all the damage repaired by a reputable business. It cost me another $400 to get the laundry list of problems from broken clips to uninsulated and poorly connected wires put together properly. Now my stereo sounds even better than it did before IB Customs did a hack job on my system. I could take another 20 minutes describing all the problems the people at Best Buy found but I'll save you the time it would take to read it. Suffice it to say, there were a lot of short cuts and amateur mistakes. If your money or sanity means anything to you, stay as far from these people as possible. They have no idea what they are doing and will happily jack up your car and take your money to "fix" problems they created in the first place. It bothers me that I have to give them a star to even post this because I would rather have a prostate exam than give them anything close to a positive rating. read more

I went in to get my windows tinted and everything seemed fine until I was on my way home and started noticing a lot of bubbles and imperfections in the tint so I drove back to ask Ray about it. He assured me that once the Windows dried up completely that they would go away. It's been more than enough for them to dry and still the bubbles are there. I also noticed that the tint they use is very low quality it appears very dull when you look from the inside out. And to top it all of he didn't clean the solution off of the door panels of my 2 week old truck which caused them to peel. this place is load of cow dung. its like the techs working here had their skulls ripped open and the entire universe took a dump inside their heads. Ok here we go: I call them they quote me a price for an alarm with lifetime warranty. It was a fair price and i liked the idea of a lifetime warranty. So i drive out 20 mins to this shop and talk to the guy at the front desk about how i just called and the quote he gave me etc. etc. so he asks me what car i have and what not and quotes me $40 FREAKING dollars more than what he did over the phone...but me not thinking and liking the idea of a lifetime warranty i went ahead and agreed with the extra $40. So i a take a seat and wait for my alarm to be installed... (45 mins later)...i walk up and ask the guy when my car is going to be finished...he says "soon"....WTF IS SOON?...my car had been sitting for 45 mins and had not even been touched....finally 2 hours later... i am informed that my car is now finished...so i am brought back my keys...and asked to sign a form for the work that was performed on my car...On the contract instead of "lifetime labor warranty" it says "90 DAY LABOR WARRANTY".... at this point i am about to transform into the Hulk and create Havoc in all of Sacramento...but no it doesn't stop there the contract says "if car is older than 2 years we are not responsible for scratches" who in the world came up with this i have seen 40 year old cars that look better than new ones today...so i ask if i can see the car before i sign this load of crap...the guy rolls his eyes at me and walks me to my car...i walk around it and look for any obvious http://damage...it appears to be fine...i sign the "contract" and leave...on my way home i stop at the gas station and decide to check my oil and other fluids in my car....i pop the hood and.... WTF? SON OF A B$TCH!!!! they mounted the siren for the alarm on the strut tower they drilled holes and mounted it straight on top... for those of you not familiar with cars, the best analogy i can provide is if a museum had mounted the Mona lisa with a nail straight through her nose...so i get home and start to take panels off so i can see what kind of a job they did on the wiring....complete junk they didnt even mount the antenna any they put the brain of the alarm right in the front so it would take any thief 5 seconds to rip it out and make the alarm worthless...i wired the alarm my self to undo all this junk they created....
