Second, brushes for my alternator rebuild. I stopped in yesterday to have them match the brushes. He disappeared for about a minute and set them on the counter. I asked how much, "just take em, I have hundreds of these" was his response. I was blown away by this. They are not a very expensive item. But I expected to pay about $10, maybe $15. I agreed to the price, and when I picked up my truck I had an ABS code light on and an exhaust manifold leak. took the truck back and they fixed the ABS issue. Tim claimed that he didn't need to lift the engine for the oil pan replacement so he didn't touch the exhaust manifold bolts... ask him then why did you charge me $1k? "my mechanic found a different way, sometimes I win some and sometimes I lose some" was his answer..... further more after breaking the manifold bolt(s) " I don't want to tie up a mechanic to drill out a broken bolt(s)". he rather screw multiple customers in a shift vs just one. find a different mechanic to go too!!!
