These are the stupid girls who needs to be fired

Da fuck are these owners hiring???!!! My first experience was the best. Don't get me wrong it's not the products that's the issue it's the workers. There is this Asian girl who works there looks like she's 16. This dumb girl has the worst service. I asked her what's your favorite flavor of popcorn. Instead of recommending or suggesting what's the most popular flavor she says "idk I don't really eat popcorn I just work here" da fck?! My second time here grabbed two different popcorn. One small volcano and one medium sour cream popcorn with butter. She then repeats it to the other girl and says the same thing on what I said. Next they start making it and while making it the made the volcano fine. Then the sour cream one they fucked up big time by adding the furikake. I was like what is that? She said sour cream and furikake. My mind blew I'm like I never asked for furikake one for the volcano. Then she looked at my like I had no option of them remaking it. So I said okay let's go. I don't know why they would think sour cream goes well with furikake they must be stupid and must be fired. They are not even working they are busy talking stories and letting their friends visit them and disrupting the workers while they work. The manager should see what they are doing while they are not there. Never buying popcorn here ever again.

Walking into this cherished Kalihi biz it's difficult to choose which one will it be with so many to choose from though I'm plain and simple the classic chichi dango is it for me as this pink and white delicately wrapped treat has been my personal favorite for years. Rarely been able to make it here in time as they do close early at 2pm and is best to call in to secure your treats the staff here is fantastic with putting it all together for you though not everything available is found in the display case though I couldn't resist a pre packed chichi dango after bringing a friend here to pick up her order. Especially during holidays and for special events call in your order to avoid long lines and disappointment as it does sell out fast as it's popularity peaks for events or just craving that unique flavor that they have here as this tiny shop does make our mochi cravings happy. Thank you!

Absolutely THE best baked manapua in the state and that's coming from a very critical manapua'er…read more If I could eat these every day, I no doubt would but the jeans will not be very happy about that. While the steamed ones are great too, there are still other contenders for that. The baked ones truly have no rival though! There other pastries are great too like the custard buns and the custard tarts, although I recently tried their layered rice cake and while huge, they were a but underwhelming. I think that's because I remember the ones my dad used to bring home that had the super thin layers that you could peel off layer by layer and enjoy them for what seemed to be an eternity.

What can I say that hasn't already been said about this place…read more My go to's are the baked manapua, the huge pork hash, shrimp dumpling and rice cake. I tried the butter mochi this past visit and it was good. It always amazes me the ladies who take your order and don't write it down and somehow get it right. I can see one or two things but my wife likes to order 5-6 things. I've been lucky to go when no one was in line (a rainy day) and have waited in line for over 30 minutes. This past visit was only about 20 minutes. I guess it's a roll of the dice. After Char Hung Sut closed many years back this has been my go to for Manapua.
