I have been a million times in Encinitas yet never visited the I Street viewpoint. The views there are spectacular especially on a sunny day. There is a small grassy section at the entrance of the park or viewpoint with a picnic table. Dogs are welcome as well. To the left you will see that there is an apartment complex facing the sea. They have a very nice small short path where public is also welcome. This was the big surprise for me, it was just super short but super sweet at the end of the mini hike you get three picnic tables and a not very attractive sculpture related to humanity that look more like body parts of dead people to me but that's another story. This is the perfect spot to unpack your picnic and take beautiful Instagram worthy photos. The magic of Encinitas never ends and this is worth a visit. Parking was not an issue for me but no try to park super close though. read more
