Thank you to the Yelp reviewers for their post about this park. My kids enjoyed it, mostly for the zip lining as they must have rode it a dozen times and sliding down the big hill with a cardboard box. The park is maintained very well. Everyone picks up after themselves.

We will come back next time for sure

What a great dog park!!! Little but mighty. They have a large and small dog side. Dog poop bags, picnic bench, water, fountain for dogs and humans, and shade. All of the dogs and people were friendly. Real grass, and a nice tall fence There is a lot of Street noise since it's right next to the highway. But not so much that you can't hold a conversation. Will definitely be back.

We loved visiting this park when we were staying in Carlsbad ! I will say this is a neighborhood park not a big public park. I think I was built for the housing on top of the hill but you can still visit . There are no bathrooms that we saw and parking is very minimal, like room for maybe ten side of the road parking. I will say this was a super cool park . It had a dog park that had two separate areas one for big dogs and one for small dogs. Basketball court and skate park which my little guy loved cause he is new to doing tricks and I loved they had more of a smooth shallow pool and then a deeper one on the other side. I will say when came to the actual play area I would say this is really built for kids over 4-5 years of age.. my 4 1/2 did fine but if you have a 2 year old or younger maybe not the best spot. I will say at the top of the hill this park has one of the coolest swings I've ever seen !! I wish this was at every park, (I'll try and give a pic/ video below) ..

A beautiful gazebo perfect for a picnic ir get-together!

I've been waiting for Olympus Park to open, ever since construction first started. The wait, in my opinion, was well worth it! This is such a nice park in such a lovely neighborhood. There are slides, play sets, swings (tire/regular/infant variations), a zipline, a skateboard area, a grassy area for dogs, and this super steep hill that kids (read: people of all ages...myself included!) love to slide down on cardboard boxes. And the gazebos, oh, the gazebos! There are multiple seating areas available, which makes it the perfect place for a picnic. Parking used to be a problem, but now it's much more manageable. I recall the zipline being briefly out of order, but now it's fully operational. It's truly a beautiful park, and I highly recommend bringing children here.

Such a cute and fun park! The best part are the hills and slides for cardboard sliding. There is also a small dog park on the far end, an upper playground and a lower playground. There's a skatepark and a zip line (the zip line was broken). The bad thing about this place is the parking. There is very limited street parking which forces you to park farther away I to the more residential area. Another con is where you can actually park. Some other helpers have shared by hey got tickets by parking at the upper entrance even though there were no signs. So I'd say park at your own risk.

Turf slide, climbers, picnic shade

Went here for the first time last week, and every day my son has asked to go back to the slide park! The highlight of this for us was a big slide hill, with a big tube slide, concrete slides, and a turf slide hill. People had brought and left cardboard, which made the concrete and the turf really fun. I even tried it a couple of times. Also things to climb on, a path to walk, and skate and dog parks. Big covered picnic area is nice! Unfortunately no bathrooms. We will be back, the child demands it.

Upper play area

Variety of different play structures. Main area for order kids (zip line was not operational). If you go up hill there are some swings and spinners for the littles. Kid's favorite spot was sliding down the hill in cardboard boxes.. simple things in life I guess.

No place to park and the place was as crowded as could be. The park itself may be great but unfortunately I couldn't find out for myself.

Great park but desperately needs a bathroom. Guess they want little kids to pee in the bushes.

Ask the Community - Olympus Park

Is the zip line working now?

Yup, it was open today.

Are there restrooms?

No there aren't. It's unbelievable a park that cost that much has no bathroom.

Is the zip line working again went there a while back and it was broken?

We were there a month ago and it was still broken.

Anybody know what happened to the zip line? I called and emails Encinitas Parks and Rec but never heard back. Is it going to be replaced?

I'm not sure what happened, but it's fixed and fully operational now!

I have never come across an outdoor basketball court that rivals an indoor one until I found this…read moremasterpiece. I won't elaborate too much on the Lakers, Kobe, and his daughter because everyone would be aware of the essence of this place. The mural of Kobe and his daughter smiling beautifully captures the power of love between father and daughter. The court floor is painted in yellow and purple, matching the Lakers' theme perfectly. What an inspiring and grateful gift to the community. Lucky you, Anaheim! There's a glass backboard on each side of the basketball hoop. The floor is made of plastic material similar to beer bottle racks, making it non-slippery and great for safety, especially when performing ankle-breaking crossover moves. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 despite it being stunningly beautiful and the only full court available. The issue is that when groups of 10 show up, smaller groups get pushed out with nowhere else to go. After shooting around for a few minutes at half court, my son and I were forced to move aside when 10 people suddenly decided to play full court. This is a public court, so I don't mind sharing. However, with no other full courts in the area, we had no choice but to step off. I would have loved to reserve the next game, but we were there for my son's practice, so the timing wasn't right. Maybe next time we'll join in for some 5-on-5 with the older crowd!

It was a great mural photo opp to all the Kobe fans! Such a great work and honor the mamba legend…read moreand daughter!!!

Want to play with sand without having to deal with the beach and ocean debris? Well Leucadia Oaks…read morePark is close enough to the beach to give you that clean crisp air but far enough so you won't be bogged down with parking or other patrons. You can have an enjoyable morning or afternoon visit with your kiddos and be fresh enough to grab a bite and move onto your other adventures for the day. This playground has a variety of structures including slides, swings, climbing rings, and stepping platforms in addition the abundance of sand. In addition, there are plenty of benches and picnic tables for shared meal outdoors as well as a basketball hoop and skate park for those looking to take a break from the sand. For those looking forward to playing with sand, well you're in luck! They have an accessible water station (filtered water too for drinking) to help add that extra rigidity to your sand castles. There's a bit of grass for running but not a whole lot for field play. Otherwise, it's still good for picnicking. The park is rather quiet and it seems mainly locals come out here (most walked to and from the park). With that said, there's plenty of parking along the side of the park should you decide to commute out here. Overall, this park was pleasant and allowed our kids to experience sand as if they were at the beach and also play on a classic playground. Great place to soak in some sun for about half to a full hour before lunch or nap time (for the kids but I guess us adults too!)
