As per many other traditional Thai spots, though, they gave the usual mix of chilies and chili sauces, so soon, the spice was to my liking. The pork meatballs had a bit of bounce, and the roasted pork had good flavor. The rest of the vegetables and peanuts added a good crunch. The noodles were plentiful, and while I prefer egg noodles or thicker rice noodles found in other Thai soups, as they grab onto the broth better, they worked here. The rest of the people enjoyed their more generic dishes, ranging from green curries to Pad Thai to Pad Kee Mao/drunken noodles. I wish this place were closer, as I would definitely go back. While their red sauce leaves a little to be desired (it has a slightly off-putting vinegary taste and not very spicy), their green sauce is amazing with its zesty cilantro and mint taste! All that cost me only $11, while Halal Guys is over here charging $14+ for a platter and nickel and dimes us for sauce packets. I classify Halal Munchies as a must eat when visiting NY!
