Customer service was good on the deli side which is located on the market side of the venue. We ordered a Specialty Sandwich as well as a sub from their Sub Menu. Besides sandwiches, the deli offers meats, cheeses, and antipasta choices. We ordered: Octopus salad - perfectly cooked octopus Pasta salad - A tad bit too al dente for my liking Mammamia torpedo sub from Sub Menu - delish... The Godfather from Specialty Sandwich Menu - AMAZING flavor if you enjoy that sweet and savory flavor profile! Gino & Gianni's Pizzeria is a seperate area of the market which is accessible while in the market or directly from the parking lot. They offer inside dining as well as patio dining. Customer service was AMAZING at the pizzeria! Pizzas were phenomenal! Although I did not try them, the garlic knots looked amazing as well! We ordered: Mushroom pepperoni slice - good in flavor Sicilian style Honey-Roni pizza - Square in shape and appeared to be deep dish style. AMAZING in flavor! This time, though, my husband gave his name instead and the person at the register gave him some attitude about it and asked "You're *really* going with that?" I don't understand what their problem was with his name, but both the person in the front and the staff in the back refused to use it. They called out everyone else's names (and they usually call out mine when I order) and we noticed that our sandwiches were looking skimpy compared to how stacked we know they can come. My husband uses a nickname that might not be the name he was given at birth, but is a name he has used for over 20 years and might as well be his "real," name. We don't want to make assumptions, but most of the staff has always been at least a little cold towards us at best, slightly rude at worst, and even though this experience might seem relatively small to some, it's ultimately the straw that broke the camel's back. We suspect that their distaste for us might be politically motivated. We know it can't be personal because we've been nothing but polite. It sucks, but it seems to be that if they perceive you to not be "their people," your money isn't as green at their establishment, even if it spends all the same. I loved this place and felt lucky that they're close to my house, but feeling disrespected and like the staff are trying to fire us as customers is enough motivation to take our business elsewhere.

We had the delightful opportunity to sample I Que BBQ at Taste of San Diego East. What a great surprise! The BBQ sauce was perfect- not to sweet/spice. The chicken was tender and Mac n cheese was vert cheese. They served the best Mac n cheese at this event. We likes that they served their Hugh samples in sealed containers. Perfect for this type of event. We had not heard of them before and will be returning customers. The staff was friendly and had great smiles. My only disappointment was I only sampled one of their cakes and should have sampled the other two they offered. I Que Barbecue is a top-rated BBQ spot with delicious food! The restaurant was full of people eating and enjoying their meals, and there were TVs on the walls. I ordered the pulled pork plate with mac & cheese and baked beans on the side. They let me try the baked beans first to make sure I liked them, and they were sweet and tasty. The portion was big, and I couldn't finish it all--I could have shared! I also wanted to try the hot link, so I ordered one, and it was really good too. Checked out I Que BBQ and overall it was a solid experience. I went with the dry rub ribs and got the sauce on the side -- ribs were on point, super flavorful and cooked right. Honestly, I originally pulled up for the banana pudding and it did not disappoint. Definitely a highlight and worth getting if you go. Only downside for me was the sides. The potato salad just wasn't it -- potatoes were kinda undercooked and not really my style. Two words: So good! I have been three times and I get their three tacos for $10 deal, everytime delicious. They set up a small TV that plays soccer as you sit at either the cart itself or at one of the tables while you eat. The best part is the salsa bar loaded with as much guac as you want. You don't see that everyday and I'm not mad at it at all. Such a treat for the neighborhood on the weekends and something that I hope is here to stay.

The flour tortilla was not greasy but also had flavor too! One of the best shrimp burritos that I've had in a long time!

Excellent and delicious sandwiches. Quality and Quantity are reflected in the generosity by the owner. Service is prompt and extremely clean. This is a family owned restaurant. Both parents, even children help when busy, which is more often. Mr. Ray and his workers are extremely pleasant. He believes that customer is always right!

I finally came in and got to try these two sandwiches, and they were absolutely delicious. I am highly picky with my sandwiches and I was a little scared, specifically when it comes to my pastrami, but the quality they have here is top notch. They serve Dietz and Watson premium meats and I am so glad I came and gave this place a chance. On top of all that the owner is so down to earth and clearly makes these sandwiches from the bottom of his heart. Thank you so much for the amazing service. PS.
