I tried the big name (Summers) in Marion and they sent out a sales person who quoted prices way over the average for this service. Note that I researched the average price beforehand. Another company came in lower and then I called Duff at Jim's Appliance. He came out the next day and offered the best price of all. I was hesitant because his company had no reviews to date but I spoke with some family that live in the area and they gave the thumbs up. Duff and his team arrived the next day and took 2 days to complete the work. My home is super comfortable in this 85 degree weather and the craftsmanship is excellent. He provides a written 1 year guarantee 100% parts and labor. I couldn't be happier!

During covid our air went out and we called Jim's Appliances to look at the central air, which was the original to the house. They determined that we needed a new central air. We waited until last year to replace it. We had Jim's Appliance install a new central air system. We only used our central air for about 3 months last year. When we started it this summer, ít wasn't working properly, so we called Jim Appliances back for a service call. We knew it should be covered by the Warranty since it was less than a year old. They looked at it and got it working. It then still wasn't keeping the house cool the way we thought that it should be. They again came out and said we needed 2 additional vents. One of the vents was installed poorly and our new flooing was damaged. The vents did not seem to help, so we cslled them again. They came out a third time and it still did not fix the air. Because it still wasn't working, we decided to call someone else, even though we would be charged a service fee The new company came out yesterday and said that our air compressor was bad in the central air conditioner. While looking at the air and since both are connected, they also looked at our furnace and under our house, they determined that our furnace was a fire hazard, and we should not use it until it was fixed or replaced. Needless to say, we are very unhappy with the service that we got from Jims appliances.

While you'd think that a company would value an employee who receives so many outstanding reviews, they absolutely do not. CJS/Basset has been providing it's technicians with much less than 40 hrs per week, and when Tyler put in his 2 week notice due to needing a job that will allow him to provide for his family, ERIK decided it would be appropriate to retaliate by taking his 2 week notice as time served, leaving Tyler without a job for the next 2 weeks knowing that he has a 5 year old & 3 month old to care for. I would not recommend this company to anyone as an employee nor a customer. they have absolutely no values.

Brian and another technician came out pretty quick, and after their initial shock at the extent of damage (they thought, they were coming to do a patch job) they fabricated a new air return duct out of sheet metal and installed it. Our house is only 3 years old, but there is a stark difference in the work quality between the company that installed the furnace in the new home and King's. I have used King's for all my heating and plumbing needs for over 40 years. I am retired military and have been all over the country and experienced many good and bad heating and plumbing companies. King's is by far the best I have ever dealt with. I'm deeply suspicious anytime I see them rated under 5 stars. 5 STARS!

It was out of refrigerant & we might have a leak so he filled it & billed us. (Pay at time of service). 2 days later we get same error so he returns for Search & Leak Repair - could not find leak but adds coolant - tells us he would run new lines if we go with new unit. Emails quote including new lineset, surge protection, new remote & great warranty w/ 1 yr maint plan. He said he would apply the service call of over $1600 we paid as a credit towards the new unit purchase & required half down so he could order it. No problem. Paid half & scheduled install. About week later he installs new unit & picks up final payment - I point out it is short the roughly $1600 to which he says he had explained to the owner that amount was ALREADY discounted (he did not, nor was not in the bid as such). ook. Few days later unit shuts down & gives error. We call him & he comes next day & says it's out of coolant & he has to run new lines - the reason why he did not do it at install was bc it was going to be a pain... What?! Really? I said that is YOUR NAME on that van & I feel like you're cheating us & he says No That's not me & quickly added But we are here to take care of that today. (Well the Unit stopped working so he HAD to come back.) He runs new lines & shows me where the original leak was and how the lines were rubbing against a roughly cut hole in the wall. (so could he have just replaced the original lines to begin with?) I tell him we can mail the check -he says he will come pick it up. I talk with owner & go over everything - he says Vic did not say anything about the $1600 already taken off top of quote to him - He will call Vic & discuss. So we refused to pay said $1600 and now Vic refuses to honor his warranty. This company does not stand by its word. Also where is the quoted & paid for surge protector...he did not do that either. Vic, Don't quote it if you are not willing to do the work and do it right the first time. If you are reading this, think twice before shaking his hand....which he looked me in the eye and shook my hand...it doesn't mean a thing to him.
