Love this office! I had a filling come out last spring in the middle of lock down (or "pause", if you're Cuomo) and Dr. I was one of the only dentists taking patients. They were able to see me and get me fixed up very quickly. I decided to keep coming back and am very happy with my routine cleaning. I chatted them up to my friend who decided to come with me and see if they had availability, and they were able to take them right then and there. All the staff there are always patient and courteous, and despite being able to see me on short notice or take walk-ins, they are never rushed. over the phone they told me a crown is about one thousand. i get there and doctor says 2 thousand per crown. then he says he doesn't do porcelain, only zirconia, if i want porcelain it's more expensive. the crown on a screw is much easier to deal with later in life. the cemented one is more problematic. he wants to give me the cemented ones. i want the screwed on crown and i know why. he does things only one way. oh, but if i want the type with the screw it will cost much more. oh, yes. when i sign in, i fill out my info and the last page is about "mental notes" being given to homeland security and law enforcement!?!?!? i ask them to explain what this is and none of them can. i refused to sign . the doc said a molar tooth should have only 1 contact point. i was in disbelief. then he said 2 contact points. a molar must have 4 or 5 contact points. i know dentistry as i translated for the united nations with dental schools from all over the world. i know what i want and i know the rules and laws of medical practices. he said he couldn't help me and i should better see a prosthodontist at nyu. so for this piece of advice, he charged me $50 and i traveled for hours to get back to the city. i feel very demoralized that these young "doctors" are playing with people's lives and most patients don't even speak english well to understand what is going on. they wanted my insurance and i refused to give them the info as i deal with my insurance myself. i said i would pay and just need an invoice from them. one girl at the desk was nice, the other was not. i wasted a day of my life thinking and hoping i would find some nice, young russian dentists that are being praised so much. they may do a good job. however, all the loops to charge more and refuse responsibility and cooperation with the client makes this a tricky practice. i definitely don't recommend it. then he responds to my review and says it's not fair. why not? these are all facts representing my personal experience in that office. it wasn't fair for me, not for them. i wrote exactly what happened and what was said. so dr. iilyalev, why wasn't anyone able to explain to me what that page i had to sign was about??? where in medical school did they teach you that a molar should have only 1 (or 2) contact points ??? these are also called cusps. a molar must have 4 or 5 cusps so how can you chew. how can you chew if you only have 1 contact point on a molar??? now really. those people who gave you good reviews may have just fillings or good occlusions and just one tooth to replace and certainly didn't know as much as i do about dentistry. i have multiple problems. if you are so proud of your knowledge and work how do you tell me that this is how you make the molar crown, with only one cusp? read more

Dr. Ilyayev was such a lucky find for me, I hope others can benefit from this review. He provided quality dental work that rescued my smile, may comfort, and my health for the best possible price and he did with skill and compassion. I was very down one evening about a big hole in my smile and the associated medical risks. I have employer provided dental insurance and it's at least average quality but the estimate I got from the dentist I had near my Wall Street office included out of pocket expenses way beyond my range - like crushing debt with interest level. I called a former dentist and a place a friend recommended in Queens band got better quotes but still not good enough. This was on my mind as I walked in to Dr. I's office on my way home - my last resort...' The receptionist was great and helped me get a time with Dr. I. I was worried when he sat me in a chair - I just wanted an estimate on a 3 crown bridge - but he evaluated my problem and helped me settle on a feasible solution. In the end, he solved another problem I had left unaddressed for almost 10 years because it wasn't painful or visible when I smiled. The process itself required a few visits but that's also when I saw how Dr I is committed to quality care, lasting solutions and compassionate patient relations. I hope he stays in the neighborhood and thrives because he's really the best. read more

I started to see Dr Ilyayev since last year, he is very patient and kind, and always give you honest opinions of what can be done. Other than X-ray exams and routine cleanings, I have had root canal treatment & fillings with Dr Ilyayev. He never pushed you for any unnecessary treatment or tried to exaggerate your problem like many other dentists, but rather to discuss with you the available options and outcome. Dr Ilyayev is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. His work is fantastic and his "bedside manner" is the best I've ever seen. When I'm in his chair I feel as though I've been close friends with him for years! Dr. Ilyayev is a great dentist and his practice is very through. Had an early appointment and waited maybe 5 minutes after I gave in all my paperwork. After that, all the procedures I got were great! Just getting an X-ray took a while but it was very worth it. Most places just do a quick scan and done but they get into everything. They discovered a problem with a tooth and I was lucky enough to get it fixed right away! I came in originally for a cleaning and had to get a root canal done. They took good care of me and worked on the emergency right away. I've had a root canal before and it was often painful. This time, I felt no pain even after the anesthesia wore off. I also love that he did not push me to get any unnecessary procedures. I've had this happen so many times and ended up surprised with the bill. This time, he showed me all that can be done now and exactly what I had to pay. His team was very knowledgeable and dealt with the insurance headaches.
